Prayer Works Wonders
Andriy, a 10-year-old boy from Ukraine, has faced many challenges in his young life. When he was just seven years old, his parents divorced, and his mother moved with him and his siblings to his grandmother’s home. Andriy's grandmother requires care, adding to the family's burdens. His older brother serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, leaving Andriy and his mother to navigate their daily lives with a sense of uncertainty and longing.
Despite these hardships, Andriy's life took a positive turn when his friends invited him to the Superbook Club. He recalls, "It was interesting and fun. We played games, watched a cartoon, listened to stories about God, made crafts, and at the end, we all prayed together for the protection of our loved ones. I prayed for my brother to return from the war, at least for a short leave." This experience opened Andriy's heart to the power of prayer and the love of God.
Andriy became convinced that God answers prayers. Recently, his brother came home on leave from the war, and Andriy shared his faith with him. In return, his brother shared stories of miraculous survival. His brother’s stories strengthened Andriy’s belief that prayer works wonders. His mother also started attending church, and she smiles more often now. Andriy and his mother together thank God and ask for his protection. "At the Club, I learned that God is very powerful and loves us. So now, my mother and I pray to him every day. And I noticed that God always answers us."
