Faith, Friendship, and Hope in Wartime Ukraine
In a village nestled in Ukraine’s Lviv region, a remarkable event unfolded one weekend at a local church. Despite the backdrop of war and uncertainty, 140 children and 20 youth leaders came together for a powerful experience of faith and fellowship at the “Superbook Rescuers” camp.
The camp was more than just a summer activity—it was a sanctuary of peace, joy, and spiritual growth. Through the engaging materials of CBN Animation’s Superbook, children discovered that studying the Bible could be exciting, interactive, and deeply personal. Each day was filled with vibrant activities: animated Superbook episodes, creative crafts, team games, and interactive challenges that helped convey biblical truths in ways children could understand and embrace.
In a time when anxiety and hardship weigh heavily on young hearts, this camp became a place of warmth and mutual support. Children laughed, learned, and prayed together. They built friendships rooted in faith and discovered that even in the darkest times, God’s love shines bright.
The camp’s theme—Rescuers—was more than a title. It reflected the mission of each child and leader: to seek Christ, to support one another, and to live out the truth that evil can be overcome with good. Through Superbook’s stories, children saw how biblical heroes trusted God, faced challenges with courage, and lived lives of obedience and love. As one Superbook team member shared:
