Everyone experiences rejection at some point in their lives, whether in childhood or adulthood, and the experiences can vary greatly. However, even during our darkest and loneliest moments, we can find comfort in knowing that Jesus faced even greater rejection. Jesus was rejected, yet the Church is built upon Him as the cornerstone.

We each have a role in our society. God calls us all to be responsible and steward well, whether we serve as an elected official, an appointed official, or a citizen without an official government duty. Elections emphasize the responsibility governing leaders face. It also gives Christians the opportunity to realize the responsibility to pray for those in authority.

Sometimes, leaders in our homes, communities, workplaces, churches, and businesses think they must always show strength and not rely on others for prayer. Have you ever felt that way? However, leaders and everyone else need others to pray for them in all aspects of carrying out God's will. When we rely on the power of prayer from our hearts and others, we invite God to move.

Are you in a new season of your life? Sometimes the season is painful, and you may find yourself with more questions than answers. At other times, it may feel as though you are in a quiet season where you speak less but listen more. Find out how all seasons have meaning with God.

In Psalm 1, the psalmist compares the godly to trees planted by the riverbank. With the constant nourishment from a river, trees thrive and flourish. As you read this devotion, imagine this author's view of the riverbank in her hometown and join her in appreciating the depths of the blessings portrayed for the godly in this Psalm.
