Joni Eareckson-Tada to Brittany Maynard: Choose Life

In less than two weeks 29-year-old Brittany Maynard is scheduled to die.
She was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer six months ago, shortly after her wedding.
When she learned her prognosis she and her family moved to Oregon, one of five states where physician assisted suicide is legal. Maynard plans to take a pill Nov. 1 that will end her life.
CBN News first told you about this story earlier this month. Today Joni Eareckson-Tada is weighing in on the situation.
Eareckson-Tada is the founder of Joni and Friends, a ministry dedicated to extending the love and message of Jesus Christ to people who are affected by disabilities around the world.
She became a quadriplegic after a swimming accident in her teens. She has also battled breast cancer.
Now, in an open letter, she is asking Maynard not end her life.
"The hours are ticking away; please, Brittany, open your heart to the only One who can do something about your pain and death," Eareckson-Tada said in a blog post on her website.
She continued, "Life is the most irreplaceable and fundamental condition of the human experience, and I implore you to take a long, hard look at the consequences of your decision which is so fatal, and worst of all, so final."
