Before Michael and Melanie Fox met, their lives were already a testament to God’s faithfulness. Michael, a seasoned sales professional, learned to trust God through the ups and downs of his career, even when he faced financial uncertainty.

Michael says, “When you depend on the Lord and He is your provider, then you don't have to worry about it.”

Melanie, a single mother of three boys, knew the challenges of providing for her family but remained steadfast in her faith, giving her last pennies in tithes. One day, she received an unexpected gift – a check from her church youth group covering her needs.

Melanie shares, “When I would look back at those blessings were what got me through the hard times.”

When Michael faced his own financial struggles, tithing was a step of faith he hadn’t yet taken. But he realized that fully trusting God with his finances was the only way forward.

Michael shares, “I worked two jobs, sometimes three jobs, but it was just to make ends meet. And it was sometimes hard to write those tithe checks, but I knew that if I didn't write those tithe checks, I would not be blessed.”

Michael met Melanie and after one year they married. It was their shared faith and trust in God that drew them together. They wanted to honor God as a team, especially in their finances.

Melanie recalls, “Michael and I were both very convinced that we needed to tithe and give and that was non-negotiable.”

Their faith would soon be tested when within a year of their marriage they both lost their jobs. With bills mounting and uncertainty ahead they clung to God’s word, specifically Malachi 3:10, which promises blessings to those who tithe faithfully.

Melanie says, “it's like a give and take kind of relationship. If you give, you'll get more. It doesn't make sense in the world's eyes, but when you do it and you see it happen. I don't take it for granted that the Lord gave that.”

As they continued to trust, God began to open new doors. Michael cashed out his 401k to sustain them and worked as a subcontractor. Melanie secured a new position as a childcare center director and children’s pastor.

Melanie recalls, “I enjoyed all the work I did.”

Together, they saw how their obedience led to blessings they couldn’t have imagined. Soon Melanie was promoted and began overseeing 45 childcare centers in North Carolina, while Michael worked full-time designing controls systems. Within two weeks, he was promoted to a
manager role and his salary doubled.

Michael shares, “I mean, we've been just beyond blessed.”

The Fox’s also give faithfully to ministries like CBN to further the gospel.

Michael shares, “The main reason we gave to CBN is because of their evangelism and spreading the gospel and getting people saved around the world. Sow into a good ministry like CBN and see what difference that makes in your finances.”

Michael and Melanie say that when we trust God with our finances - he answers with provision and blessings.

Melanie shares, “Give with a giving heart, then He will give it back to us. He's promised that in His word.”

Michael, says, “God says to try me, try Malachi three and 11. Try me. And He said, see if I'll not open the windows of heaven for you.”
