Is Jesus Appearing in Dreams?
9-year-old Jhoncent (Johnsen) was born to a Buddhist dad and Muslim mother. He decided to become a Muslim.
“I chose to follow my Mom's beliefs because I feel closer to her.” Jhoncent said.
“As Muslim, I prayed five times a day. I also fasted and went to the Mosque. I also learned Quran by myself.”
One night, Jhoncent had a dream.
“In that dream, I was in a white room. Suddenly from above I saw a figure. I didn't know who it was. He was wearing a white robe.” He recalled.
“I bowed my head. When I backed up, He came and took my hand and lifted me up. “
Jhoncent kept the dream to himself. He searched the internet to see if this was Jesus a figure he’d learned about in school. That’s where he found CBN Indonesia’s channel on YouTube.
“The story I watched that day was about the birth of Jesus. The baby was like a lamp, bright and shining.”
“From there I thought, if He's just an ordinary child, there's no way angels would bow to Him.”
After watching the episode, Jhoncent said he prayed.
“After watching I prayed “Jesus please forgive me for my sins. I invite you to come into my life. After I prayed, I felt peace.”
His interest in Christianity grew. Then he told his Mom he wanted go to church.
“When he told me about his dream I was shocked because at school and our neighborhood, there are no Christians.” Said his mom, Anita.
Wanting to help her son—but not knowing how, she searched the internet. She found the CBN Indonesia prayer center number and called. During that call, Anita prayed to become a Christian just like her son.
“I prayed to surrender my life to Jesus and invited Him to be my Lord and Savior.” She confessed.
CBN then helped them to connect with a local church near their home. Jhoncent said he also shared about Superbook episodes with his younger siblings—and they are now Christians too. He said he is praying for his dad to come faith soon.
