Superbook Brings Light to Las Minitas
In the quiet village of Las Minitas, nestled in a remote corner of Honduras, hope arrived in the form of animated stories and heartfelt prayers. On a Tuesday in May, the Superbook team visited a local school for a special outreach event that would leave a lasting impact on both children and adults alike.
The school, serving preschool through sixth grade, welcomed the team with open arms and eager hearts. For many of the children present, this was their first encounter with CBN Animation’s Superbook—a powerful tool that brings the stories of the Bible to life through animation, music, and interactive lessons. In communities like Las Minitas, where access to spiritual resources is limited, this introduction was more than just entertainment—it was a divine appointment.
The day’s lesson centered on the importance of respecting and obeying rules and commandments, helping children understand that disobedience carries consequences. Through the interactive breaks and rest periods, the team was able to fully develop each part of the lesson, ensuring that every child could engage, reflect, and respond.
“It’s important to highlight that in many of these communities, children are either unfamiliar with Superbook or have no access to it,” shared one Superbook team member. “This makes it a privilege for us to be the ones to introduce them to this powerful tool for learning and spiritual growth—an experience designed especially for them.”
The response was overwhelming. Teachers and children alike embraced the activities with enthusiasm and anticipation. The message of God’s love and truth resonated deeply, especially in a place where opportunities are few and dreams often feel out of reach.
But the most powerful moment came when 20 of the children in attendance made the life-changing decision to accept Jesus into their hearts. Through the prayer of faith, they asked him to forgive their sins and cleanse them. Now, they are God’s children, and part of his family.
The Superbook team was overjoyed for the children. “We give all glory to God for the 20 children from this school who joined the family of faith today. They believed in their hearts and confessed with their mouths that Jesus is the Son of God.”
This day was more than a lesson—it was a spiritual awakening. It reminded every child that they are loved, seen, and chosen by God. It showed them that even in the most remote places, the light of Christ can shine brightly.
“We are blessed to be the hands and feet of Jesus, bringing the good news of salvation to every place, village, and community he allows us to reach through Superbook.”
