Public Memorial Held for Stream's John Paul Jackson
A public memorial service for ministry leader John Paul Jackson will be held Monday, March 9 from 10 a.m. to noon at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas.
Jackson, founder of Streams Minstries International, died Feb. 18. He was 65. His wife, Diane, released a letter on behalf of the ministry about his passing.
"After recovering miraculously from cancer surgery last summer and returning to the activities and ministry work he loved, we found out a few months ago that the pleurisy and inflammation John Paul was experiencing in his lungs could be a sign of something more serious," she wrote.
The letter goes on to say, "Despite the heartfelt prayers from those closest to him and many of you around the world, my husband, John Paul, went to be with the Lord."
Jackson founded Streams in 1993. It's a ministry that "endeavors to encourage, motivate, and equip individuals to walk in greater maturity, wisdom, character, and holiness," according the Streams website.
Jackson was also the host of the televison show, Dreams and Mysteries with John Paul Jackson.
