Kalpana and her family lived in a small home in Nepal. She and her husband couldn’t afford to send their children to school or even provide all their basic needs.

“Raising my children was incredibly difficult. My husband worked, but work was often inconsistent. There were times we struggled to even feed our children.” Kalpana admits.

One of their neighbors then told them about how Orphan’s Promise had helped others in their area. After told us about their situation, we gave her the training she needed to run a livestock business.

“Orphan’s Promise also gave me six goats, which have since grown to 13. I sold three goats, earning around two hundred dollars.”

That was a lot, considering an average household in Nepal earns $100 a month.

“I am truly happy. The goat farming business allowed us to save some money, which we used to build our new home.” She continues.

We also helped their children get a good education, have some fun, and stay healthy.

“You paid for our children’s school fees, uniforms, bookbags, and stationery. You also arranged for some fun family outings and paid for us to get full physicals at the doctors.”

“Orphan's Promise has truly transformed our lives.
We can provide for our family while living happily in our beautiful home. Thank you for making this possible!”
