Pat Robertson talks to Intercessor Alice Smith about the Year 2002

CBN.com - Pat Robertson: Early in the program I shared what God told me. I prayed at the end of the year And asked God to give me direction. I try to listen to Him and most of the time I am hearing from Him. Alice Smith will tell what God spoke to her about the year 2002. She's the executive director of the Prayer Center. And wrote a book "Drawing Closer to God's Heart." Alice Smith, God's intercessor.

Alice Smith: Thank you.

Pat: You said after Sept. 11 that the United States woke up and then hit the snooze button and went back to sleep.

Alice: I really do believe that happened. There was a shaking and a trauma. Overall, we saw people come to Christ. But the church as the church in this nation, she has not come awake. I am very disturbed about this. I am very concerned about it. As George Otis Jr. says, in trauma, we solicit many saviors. And here in our trauma, it should have created such a sense among not only Christian people, but also other people that the answer is found in God. There was a shaking among the lost people, and we know that many people got saved. But the church, it is like we are going back to the same old thing and looked to technology, and to military force, and to our diplomats. We gave gotten back in a lull. And it is just very discouraging.

Pat: What specifically is the Lord showing you? He showed you the time of his judgment is coming and there is a serious problem and what did He tell you about that?

Alice: Forgive me for using my notes, I want to be very careful.

Pat: You have something from the Lord. Please use it.

Alice: The Lord will bring revival to the United States. A few years back he spoke to me and my husband that it would be on a platter of ruin and we are seeing that ruin. But the next phrase he gave to me. I have struggled with those things. We don't want to be saying things that will cause despair or our heart will lose the hope of God, because everything is in God. But then He also spoke to me and said we will see a revival in America, but it's going to come by passion or pressure and the choice is ours. Passion, I mean by that, we are urgently going to the throne of God and we are willing to say Lord, I am willing to lose all to get you and I am passionately praying and seeking you. I will share the Gospel and give everything that I can give financially and of my time to be able to see this happen. And if we do not count that cost and pay that price it will come by pressure, forcing us to bow our knee and humble our hearts.

Pat: I felt we were entering into the greatest revival in history and we had 96,000 people who said they would pray for 50 days. I have got the book "Steps to Revival," and we have copies of it out, and people's lives are changed. I know the seeds are sown, and I thought it would come faster, but I hate to think of it as a -- platter of ruin. And there has been passion and people are crying out to the Lord.

Alice:

does say that hope deferred makes the heart sick, but that when the delight comes, there is comfort. And where we are reverent and we have faith. We are in a tension, I believe, between what God will see happen and what the enemy wants to do. As intercessors we stand in the gap.

Pat: I thought He said the day for compromise is over. That the beginning of suddenness has come because the church calls evil good and good evil.

Alice: It is the church now. But certainly society is calling good evil and evil good. No doubt about it.

Pat: That's right.

Alice: Our land was defiled by having a form of godliness and denying the power thereof. We are a religious nation without a pure godly repentance. Sept. 11th was our wake-up call, but we hit the snooze button and rolled over. And I felt like also we are no different, the Lord is saying that we are no different than Joshua in that he was able to make a covenant and had no discernment. And didn't ask the Lord.

Pat: He didn't ask the Lord.

Alice: And the church is making a legal covenant or contract with Islam. And the two cannot be one.

Pat: A previous guest Daniel Pike said that the United States is setting the tone of accommodation of Islam that never happened in this country before. And God has said something about China and Russia and Israel. You feel He has. We think we are hearing from the Lord.

Alice: We see and know in part. I felt like the Lord spoke to me that there would not be peace in Israel in the year 2002. We are to pray for Jerusalem that peace would come. And I also felt that the Lord was impressing on me that we need to pray for George W. Bush. Pray that he does not succumb to the pressure of even those well meaning around him to try to give away land to the Palestinians. If Bush does this, we will see a direct correlation of intensity of natural disaster in our nation unlike anything we have known in the past.

Pat: That's a good warning. What has the Lord said about China?

Alice: China will make a power move on Taiwan on this year. And the year 2002 will see the resurgence of Russia as a super power. And that we have yet to see the effects of things in our nation and nations abroad. Even as we continue to pray, it will unleash those hordes of devils that are going to have an impact.

Pat: This is what the Lord told me. What happened unleashed something that cannot be contained. And if is not only men, fighting with hatred against other men, it will unleash the forces of nature and nature will come into rebellion. It is like the whole-created order will be in turmoil. That is what the Lord said to me.

Alice: Exactly. And it is already happening. You can feel it in the way that our children are responding to the Harry Potter movies. And the way families are responding to each other and marriages and divorces, and even in the financial realm, the economy, and the instability of the economy and the stock market. I mean, it is literally saturating the heavenlies, and we have to have discernment to see that is what is happening.

Pat: I wish we had hours and hours on television. We don't have it. The Lord spoke to you about people getting out of debt.

Alice: Absolutely. This is the most important time to get out of debt. I am speaking from Revelation. We have to get out of debt and be able to invest our money in ministries like this ministry. I know what goes on in this ministry and this ministry is a good steward of the money. We give to this ministry, as many, many others do. But we need to invest in ministries and churches where souls are being saved. And the way the Lord gave it to me. I want to read it. In giving your money, always remember your seed doesn't look like the harvest. So don't eat your seed, don't waste your seed, don't spend your seed, but you need to plant your seed in the harvest fields where souls are being saved. And that seed will come back multiplied to you.

Pat: That's the Good News. Whatever happens in the economic realm. It seems like to me, give it to the Lord's work that is putting treasure in heaven.

Alice: That's right.

Alice: We are all hungry for God. I am just pleading to those that are watching today that we need to get on our faces. We need to really seek the face of God. We are calling peace, peace, when there is no peace. My spirit said we have to get out on that line and get in the teaching. Turn from sin. Turn, turn, turn.

But God's Spirit, we are looking at the kingdom of God coming. He knows how to make a difference between those who belong to him and those that don't. He can take care of you in the worst of times and the best of times if you serve. That's the key right now. Get right with God and don't hold on to secret sins.
