Marco Rubio calls Edward Snowden a traitor. Watch my interview clip with Rubio below. Ted Cruz has not called him that. Watch for the Snowden issue to be brought up on the campaign trail between these two GOP candidates.

Watch the video clip below. This is yet another clip form my interview with Rubio in Iowa Thanksgiving week.

Brody: Do you think Eric Snowden is a good example? You’ve called him a traitor.

Rubio: He is a traitor.

Brody: Ted Cruz has not called him that and said some things that, not glowing, but at least giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Rubio: So first of all, Eric Snowden is a traitor because if he had problems with the way the intelligence community’s programs were working, there were multiple ways that he could’ve brought that to the proper authorities. Let me tell you two of the ways that were not proper: Going to the Chinese or going to the Russians. The second is he’s a liar. A lot of the things he said just aren’t true. And then he revealed some things that happen to be true and as a result of doing that, our adversaries have now learned about our intelligence gathering methods, and they are evading them because once you learn how someone collects intelligence on you, you stop doing it. So, we have lost actionable intelligence all over the world – intelligence that used to protect our servicemen and women in uniform. Now they’re more vulnerable. Intelligence that allowed us to disrupt plots. Now we don’t have that intelligence. Some of that was going to happen anyway, but a lot of that was expedited and accelerated by what Eric Snowden did, so he is absolutely a traitor and for multiple reasons.
