Making Church Relevant at Waters Edge

”Drama, music, and videos connect with people like nothing I've ever seen before,” says pastor Stuart Hodges. “It takes a simple biblical truth and drives it straight to the heart.”

Adds Ann Marie Long, who attends Waters Edge, “You get a message from the drama and you take it home with you and you remember it. I remember it all week. I remember stories from two years ago.”

Waters Edge believes that church should be relevant to everyday life in ways people can understand and embrace.

“When Jesus became one of us, He lived near us, He looked like us, He talked like us, He smelled like us, and people connected with that,” says Hodges. “We are just trying at Waters Edge to relive that a little bit and to be Jesus to the culture around us.”
