CBN.com Three-year-old Shijun and his older sister, Manman, of China have never been able to see.

They were born with juvenile cataracts which caused them to go blind.

"I can’t read. When I walk, I can’t even see the road. But I really want to go to school," says Manman of the former days.

Shijun and Manman’s parents are hardworking farmers, but they are poor. They saved as much as they could, but only could afford to have surgery for one of their older daughter’s eyes. They wanted to do more.

"Every day I pray that they will get the surgery," says Mrs. Feng.

One day a free CBN medical clinic came to their remote province. That’s when CBN arranged for both Shijun and Manman to travel to Beijing, where a surgeon performed the delicate surgery.

The operation was a success, and today the children can see, read, run and play like other children.

Manman says, "I can read books, help with the housework, and even chase butterflies. Thank you for curing my eyes!"

"I’m very happy. Now, my mind is at rest about my children," says Mr. Feng.

Mrs. Feng agrees, "I’m so grateful. Our lives will just keep getting better and better thanks to you."
