Chhun Davy: The Coolest Club in Cambodia

CBN.com Like most teens, Chhun Davy of Cambodia was preoccupied with fashion and music.

“I read about the latest styles of clothes in magazines, and if there’s a new song out, I would go and buy the CD,” she says.

Then one day, as Chhun was watching television, she came across CBN’s Super Kids Club. The program’s song and dance numbers and English lessons all talked about Jesus!

She says, “The CBN program is so different. I felt that the hosts of the program were my friends. It’s like they know me and care for me.”

Chhun was so taken with the program that she took part in a Super Kid’s Club event that came to her village.

“When I saw the hosts in person, I knew that they were good people,” she says.

At an event like this one, Chhun surrendered her life to Jesus Christ.

“I knew that my sins had been forgiven. I felt happy and confident, because Jesus had become my friend!”

There was an added benefit to Chhun’s life. The Super Kid’s Club lessons on the English language and moral values began to affect her at school. She began to study harder.

On graduation day, Chhun had a big surprise for her mother — she graduated at the top of her class!
Today Chhun Davy is 21 years old. She’s a Sunday school teacher and loves to tell other children about Jesus.
