Caring for Claudina

CBN.com -- Many families in the small town of Grand Prairie Texas rely on this local food pantry for groceries.

Warehouse Director Larry Wilson says, “We are in a low-income area.  A lot are unemployed, a lot of people who need a lot of help.”

Claudina is here because her husband works in construction and can’t find work right now. Her family suffers when the construction business is slow during winter months.

She says “You need to pay the rent, the bills, they don’t’ wait.  The gas, the electric bill.  They come and come every month.”

But at least Claudine doesn’t have to worry about putting food on the table.  “People That Care” is one of hundreds of food pantries across America that Operation Blessing supports. Over 2,000 people a month come through these doors. And Operation Blessing provides 40,000 pounds of food monthly to help keep the doors open..And that means a basket full of groceries for Claudine and her family.

Larry says, “Operation Blessing came along side us and picked us up in a great way.  And without it we would not be here today talking.”

Claudina remarks, “Thank you so much for Operation Blessing.  For this help. For me and for everybody.”
