Ann Louise Gittleman: The Colon Corrupter Invasion
CBN.com Ann Louise Gittleman says that, "Good health is paved with good intestines."
If there is something wrong with your intestines, something needs to be addressed. Many people don't know this, but your immune system lives in your intestinal track.
You can get uninvited guests in your intestinal track – parasites. The misconception is that if you don't live in a third world country, you can't get parasites. Unfortunately, a person can get parasites anywhere because we have compromised our immune systems by more traveling, fast food, and not washing or cooking our food properly. We can get parasites in restaurants. Parasites have become tenacious.
Taking Hydrochloric Acid (HCL) and probiotics are important, but they won't kill parasites. It's not a matter of medication, but elimination. Everyone should get checked for parasites up to twice a year. You need to get rid of them. We are now dealing with "smart" bugs and bacteria. It doesn't help to try to strengthen your body or give it nutrients without killing the parasites – they'll still be there.
When you're cleansing for parasites, you don't want to take a lot of antioxidants – there is no point. If you eat a lot of sugar, you are feeding the parasites – it's their favorite food. They could be one of the causes for obesity. The beginning of obesity starts in the gut – people become tired, eat more, eat more sugary foods, which feed parasites.
Most common parasites are: pinworms – hyperactive children; giardia – chronic fatigue or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), persistent diarrhea, bloating, cramps, flatulence, nausea, intestinal irritation, and unintentional weight loss. They can be found in day care centers, carried by pets; tapeworms - anemia.
SIGNS OF PARASITES
Sometimes what you think is common stomach discomfort can be symptoms caused by parasites. Here are just a few: constipation, diarrhea, gas and bloating, infecto-obesity, allergies, asthma, persistent flu like symptoms, chronic fatigue, unexplained joint and muscle aches and pains, immune problems, anemia, secondary gluten and lactose intolerance, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Crohn's disease, skin conditions, nervous system disorders, teeth grinding, sleep disturbances, and enlarged liver or spleen.
ANTI-PARASITE FOODS
Anti-parasite Foods: pumpkin seeds, pomegranate juice, mugwort tea, herbs, sauerkraut, garlic, onions, ground almonds (fish and flaxseed oils)
If you travel frequently, eat out a lot, or have pets, be tested for parasites at least twice a year, Ann Louise's Web site will give the Uni Key phone number that gives information about testing, etc.

ABOUT ANN LOUISE GITTLEMAN, PH.D., C.N.S.
Ann Louise was the first to proclaim that obesity was caused by the lack of dietary fats and the wrong kind of carbohydrates in her book Beyond Pritikin, published in 1988. In Beyond Pritikin, she predicted that the fat free, carb-rich diet was creating weight gain, sugar cravings, fatigue and diabetes.
In the 1990s, she was the first to warn of the environmental hazards of parasites in her classic Guess What Came to Dinner?Parasites and Your Health. Her book Your Body Knows Best was the first to discuss the blood type/weight theory and proclaim that one diet may not be right for every body - an idea that is only now becoming mainstream.
Ann Louise was the first to offer natural remedies for menopausal symptoms in Super Nutrition for Menopause and is widely credited as the first to popularize the term “perimenopause” in her New York Times bestseller Before the Change. She had another New York Times bestseller, The Fat Flush Plan, which is used in the Greenhouse five-star spa as part of their detox program.
