Military Families Find Relief from Rising Food Costs

When awareness of food insecurities among military families started growing nationwide, CBN’s Helping the Home Front took action. Your gift allows us to team up with Operation Blessing to distribute food boxes to military families each month. And you are having an impact.

A US Army Soldier explains, “It helps me. I have family of six. So, it helps a lot.”

Another soldier says, “It’s truly a blessing when you will help feed our family of five."

Another soldier explains, “It really helps my family. Especially right now with prices going up. Words can’t describe how much I appreciate it.”

As the word spreads, the lines are getting longer, allowing CBN to place groceries into the hands of hundreds of families during each distribution.

“It means a lot to me and my family,” says another soldier. “I’m newly married and prices of groceries goes up a lot. And our pay stays the same.”

Another soldier explains, “I think it’s great. I'm glad that ya’ll are helping out everybody that needs help and stuff, like myself. I greatly appreciate it. It means a lot.”

In November, you made it possible to add a special addition! A turkey and a box of Thanksgiving sides for each family.

A soldier explains, “It’s going to feed my family for Thanksgiving, so it’s going to help us a lot. We are just grateful for what you do for us.”

Even bad weather doesn’t stop the lines from forming as one volunteer explained, "We are so excited to be out here supporting our military families and blessing them this month. And we decided we are not going to let a little rain stop us from doing that. We are just really happy to be here!"
