God Doubled Her Income and Multiplied Her Love
Angela has had her share of tough times. Today, she is retired and enjoys working in her garden.
‘“When I’m out there pulling up all those weeds, I’m out there praying and talking to the Lord, thanking him and saying that,‘What can I do for someone today?”’
Angela has always been a giver—it’s something she learned as a child.
“I've always gave because I knew the Lord would see me through. He's never forsaken
me.”
When Angela went through a difficult divorce in her late twenties, she was left thousands of dollars in debt.
‘“I was hurting, I was struggling. I was lost. But the Lord said, ‘I got something better, and I have something greater for you.’”
During that time, she began watching the 700 Club and found a lifeline through CBN’s prayer center.
“I love it because you can call there 24 hours a day. I needed to just hear that voice on that other line, to agree with me, to touch my heart. And every time I called, they did exactly that. They rescued me.”
Angela decided to move in with her mother for a few months and began working as an accountant. She also picked up a second job in retail to pay off the debt.
“I was able to stay with mom, help her and pay all those bills out. So, and while I’m doing that, I’m still paying my tithes.”
She soon paid the debt off completely and, in 1996, became a CBN partner.
“I knew it was the right thing to do. Plus, CBN does a lot, they help children, people around the world. Even though I didn't have much, I’m still helping someone.”
A few years later, Angela married Arnold.
“He made sure I was well taken care of. He would tithe; I would tithe. So, the Lord got double dose.”
They were married four years before he passed away. Even in her sorrow, God spoke to her heart about the future.”
‘“The Lord revealed to me, ‘Angela, this is what I want you to do.’ And I knew it was to become a nurse.”’
Arnold’s military benefits paid for her tuition. So, Angela was able to enroll in nursing school and begin a new career that lasted two decades.
“I did exactly what he said and it's my best job I’ve ever had. What I loved about nursing was helping the people.”
Over the years, Angela watched her income increase steadily. Throughout that time, she kept tithing and giving to CBN.
“I would encourage you giving to CBN. It helped me. I wouldn't be where I am right now today if it wasn't for CBN. They are doing a lot of things around the world and helping people. They are good. I’m still a member.”
Recently, Angela was able to comfortably retire and spend more time doing the things she loves.
“God always saves the best for last. It’s not about the things. He loves us so much. He wants to know if he can trust you with that 10% and he'll provide you with whatever you need and more so you can be a blessing to others.”
