Jenn Gotzon is an American actress and model known for her diverse roles in film and television. She gained notable recognition as Tricia Nixon in the 2008 film Frost/Nixon. More recently, she starred in the 2020 holiday film The Farmer and The Belle: Saving Santaland, where she played the female lead, Belle Winters, opposite her husband, Jim E. Chandler.
They met on a movie set in Georgia in 2014. Jen was recovering from a divorce and dealing with low self-worth. Jim was recovering from addiction. Both were leaning on their relationship with the Lord to heal their brokenness. What began as a friendship turned into a long-distance relationship for nearly three years. During that time, Jim courted Jenn and won her heart while writing her letters. They married in 2017 and began collaborating on faith-based films.
CHRISTMAS MIRACLES
The Farmer and the Belle: Saving Santaland is a Christmas-themed romantic comedy in which Gotzon plays Belle Winters, a famous model who returns to her hometown. The plot involves saving the beloved Santaland festival, and the story highlights themes of love, family, and faith. Yet, the focus is on women basing their identity on biblical truth—that beauty comes from the inside.
The movie is loosely based on their own love story, with footage from their wedding being shown after the end credits. Several scenes were shot at Jim’s family farm.
“The core message (of the movie) stems from a soul wound that I struggled with since I was a teenager where I didn’t feel pretty enough. I felt ugly, fat, and worthless. As an adult, it destroyed a big relationship and I sought healing,” Jenn shares.
MODELING CAREER
Gotzon's modeling career began with her participation in the Miss America pageant system at the local level, which provided her with early exposure to performance and public appearances.
She also worked as a promotional model while pursuing her acting dreams She was hired by Brother Zhen, one of China's most famous makeup artists, to be the face of his company, Jubilee. This collaboration began in 2014 and lasted until 2018, during which Gotzon appeared on billboards and advertisements across Asia which also spread to Russia. Her work with Brother Zhen involved transformative makeup and photography, showcasing her versatility and appeal as a model. Brother Zhen also appeared in the movie and was at their wedding.
THE BRACELET & CHILDREN’S BOOK
Jenn designed a beautiful bracelet that holds five charms (with ten inscriptions) that affirm what God defines as true beauty as shown in the movie. The fifth charm is a heart that adjusts to fall into the palm of your hand, allowing you to hold onto God’s truth and love of Jesus. That charm reads “Open My Heart” with the passage to real love when you meditate upon “Dear Jesus, help me grasp how wide, long, high, and deep is your love for me.” The bracelet was featured on QVC.
Also in the movie is the children’s book, Beautiful Mable, which highlights kindness and true beauty by VeggieTales co-Creator Mike Nawrocki with illustrations by Instagram sensation Sara Jo Floyd @Bryartonfarm.
After being invited to the hen house Mable the chick realizes she doesn’t have what it takes to fit in — the three P’s. She’s not pretty, plump, or productive. What makes Mable unique is her beautiful heart as she teaches the other chicks that their value is not based on how they look or perform but on how they love.
