A Miracle for Mallory

Mallory is a single mother of four. During the pandemic her husband abandoned them and she has been working hard ever since to support her children. Many times there is only enough money for them to eat once a day. “There are nights when we sleep without eating,” said Mallory with tears in her eyes. “For me it is so painful to watch my kids when they have nothing to eat.”

To earn money, she sold rice with a boiled egg, a traditional Peruvian food. She only earned a dollar per meal. “I only make enough to buy breakfast. There is no food for lunch and sometimes dinner. I'm afraid they might get sick from not eating well enough.”

10-year-old, Daniel, is adorable! He is also the oldest of the four kids. He worries a lot about his little brothers. “I feel pain inside when I see my brothers cry from not having enough to eat. We don't have enough money.”

Additionally, their wooden house was rotting and in danger of collapse. “I am afraid at night that my house will fall and that my brothers will die. The walls, the boards, everything is rotten,” Daniel told us.

So Operation Blessing provided some help. First, we built Marllory and the boys a new house with a kitchen, bedrooms, and a bathroom. “We feel safe now!” said a grateful mom. “My children sleep peacefully in their own beds. Before we had nowhere to eat. We ate on the floor. Now I have my own dining room and I enjoy it with my children!”

Next, we delivered appliances and food that allowed Mallory to expand her business selling food right from her new home. “I am so grateful to God and to everyone who gave us a new house and everything for my business. We are moving forward thanks to you!”

And Daniel was happy for another reason: “I am happy because we now eat 3 times a day!” he said with a grin. “And my dream of a new house with everything in it has come true! Thank you very much and God bless you!”
