Day 28

|
Pray for more of a desire to know God. Pray for opportunities to make Him known in the world today. Pray for a hunger and thirst for righteousness; a hunger and thirst for His Word; and a hunger and thirst for His presence.
In the end, everything comes down to our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Though we are called to take the Gospel to the nations, we can only do it effectively if we are drawing from our relationship with Him.
Probably the most famous, and one of the most beautiful passages in the Bible is John 3:16, which shows us God's love for us:
For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. —John 3:16
The next verse shows us God's mercy.
God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.
—John 3:17
In extending His love and mercy to us, Jesus also calls us His friends:
I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me. —John 15:15
The greatest commandment is to love the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul and strength (Matt. 22:37-38). More than anything else, God wants us to love Him. More than anything else, Jesus wants to have a daily personal relationship with you.
Come to Him today and allow Him to show you His love — a love that truly is beyond anything we can imagine. |
