Day 30

|
Pray for unity in America. Pray that America would experience revival. Pray for the gospel to sweep across America with signs, wonders, demonstrations of power and healing love. Pray that God would grant us mercy today and bless us with godly leadership. Let your will be done Father, on earth as it is in heaven.
Election day! It’s been almost impossible to escape the steady drumbeat of political rhetoric and paid political advertisements. With partisanship aside, the United States presidential elections are an amazing event. The peaceful transfer of power in one of the world’s greatest nations is remarkable to behold. We are a blessed people. America’s forefathers framed our laws and government with favor and wisdom bestowed by God. Let us never forget or relinquish the fact that we are a Christian nation. Founded on biblical principles and an overarching reliance on God.
Political agendas can never solve the problems of any people. Society’s problems start in the heart of individuals, and the solutions must spring from there as well. God is able to transform the human heart through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. It is then we are able to live in a way that brings the blessing of God. The Bible is full of instruction on how a nation is to conduct itself in righteousness:
This is what the Lord Almighty says: Judge fairly and honestly, and show mercy and kindness to one another. Do not oppress widows, orphans, foreigners and poor people. And do not make evil plans to harm each other.
—Zechariah 7: 9-10
Press in and pray today that God’s will be done in today’s elections. Pray for outcomes that lead to righteousness and repentance in America. Pray for a healing of division in our nation. Stir up the faith within you to believe that we can be one people devoted to the Lord. Remember, with God all things are possible. Nothing shall be impossible to those who believe. |
|
God will rescue His people, just as a shepherd rescues his sheep. They will sparkle in His land like jewels in a crown. How wonderful and beautiful they will be.
—Zechariah 9: 16-17 |
