Pray that Christians would stand in unity. Pray that our ministers would preach the gospel message with boldness and love. Pray that they would teach their people to:
- love and respect the body of Christ;
- live godly lives;
- pray;
- read the Word of God; and
- be a witness to their communities.
Pray that local churches will be lights in their communities to shine the Gospel message to the lost.
Jesus said that He is building His church through the revelation that He is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. The Bible tells us that we are all living stones in this building.
And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God. —1 Peter 2:5
The Bible tells us that as people who belong to God, we are one temple and one body. We have been given a message of hope to share with the world. We have been chosen to show others the goodness of God.
…for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. —1 Peter 2:9b
God has equipped His people with wonderful gifts — Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers — to go out into the world and do His work. Pray for our local churches to be training grounds for God’s people that we might accomplish the good works God has prepared for us to do. |
