Day 21

Pray that the Lord would give you the gift of faith as you face the challenges of each day. Make this commitment right now: "Lord, I submit my life to your Lordship today. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and power that I may be faithful to you in all I say and do, and that I may be your witness in the world today. Fill me with faith that I may be a pleasing servant in your Kingdom. In Jesus' name, amen."

The Bible makes it clear that all we receive from God is obtained by faith — this is the currency of heaven. It is by faith that we receive salvation in the first place, for it is by grace we are saved through faith (Eph. 2:8).

There are two times in the Gospels where we see that Jesus marveled. One time he was amazed at the unbelief of the people from his home town of Nazareth.

Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them.And He marveled because of their unbelief. —Mark 6:5-6b

Another time the Bible says that Jesus marveled was when the Roman Centurion asked him to heal his servant.

But say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man placed under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it. When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turned around and said to the crowd that followed Him, “I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!”And those who were sent, returning to the house, found the servant well who had been sick. —Luke 7:7b-10

Faith moves the heart of God. It is vital that we stand in faith as we pray, asking and believing for God's blessing.

Let us strive to please God, believing that as we diligently seek Him for His blessing on our lives, families and ministries, He will reward the prayers offered up in faith.
