Day 10

Pray that our world would experience the love of God. Pray that Christians everywhere will overcome anger, hurt, fear, and disagreement with the love of Christ. Pray for opportunities in your own life, to demonstrate God’s love to a watching world.
Where does the power to love come from? The Bible tells us that love is a key indicator of what is in our hearts.
God showed how much He loved us by sending His Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him. This is real love. It is not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.
—I John 4: 9 - 11
When circumstances or frustrations tempt us not to love, we need only remember that God’s love was extended to us, while we were still His enemies. God’s promise is that He can pour out His love into our hearts, and in turn we can pour that love out to others.
Ask God to reveal the depth of His love for you. Ask Him to use you to love others. Much of what we do will be forgotten. But acts of love will long be remembered. In fact, the Bible tells us that love will go into eternity with us, and love will last — forever.

This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. —John 15:12
