Little Evangelist Leads Her Family to Christ
In the vibrant country of Thailand, eight-year-old Supitcha, affectionately known as Manow, faced emotional challenges despite coming from a middle-class family. The separation of her parents left deep scars on her young heart, and her once cheerful personality was replaced by a sense of unhappiness and emotional turmoil.
After her parents’ separation, Manow lived with her father. Visits from Manow’s mother often brought up feelings of anger and resentment in Manow’s father. Burdened by those emotional wounds, he often took his anger out on Manow. His behavior caused Manow to become a rather spoiled and aggressive child, especially towards her grandparents. Unable to express the pain and confusion she felt, Manow’s intense emotions often manifested in tantrums and tears. Misunderstood by the adults around her, Manow’s behavior deteriorated further, leading to more scolding and punishment from her grandparents and father.
Amidst this turmoil, Manow’s aunt took her to church. It was here that Manow was introduced to Superbook through the church’s Sunday school class. The animated Bible stories captivated her, and she began to learn that God sent Jesus to die for our sins and that He listens to our prayers. This new understanding brought a glimmer of hope into Manow’s life.
Superbook played a pivotal role in Manow’s transformative faith journey. She gave her life to Jesus and started praying to God, asking for her parents to reconcile. She also began sharing God’s story with her parents, encouraging her father to go to church with the heartfelt question, “Dad, do you want to be happy? If you want to be happy, go to church.”
God answered Manow’s prayers. Eventually, her father did attend church and surrendered his life to Jesus. He let go of his anger and was able to fully forgive her mother. His patience grew, and he even began serving on the church’s worship team. Manow’s mother also accepted Jesus as her Savior. She returned to the family and reconciled with Manow’s father, bringing immense joy and stability back into Manow’s life.
Manow’s story didn’t end there. She often invites her grandparents to church and prays for her family’s well-being. When her grandmother fell ill, Manow laid hands and prayed for her healing, demonstrating her deep faith and compassion. The adults in her life often say that Manow is a little evangelist who brought her family to believe in God. As Manow herself expressed, “Thank God for Superbook that I get to watch with my friends. Superbook has brought me so much happiness and helped me realize that God created me and loves me deeply. Superbook has helped me learn more about God and even brought my parents back together!”
Manow’s story is a powerful testament to the global impact of CBN Animation’s Superbook. It highlights how the ministry brings hope and transformation to children and families worldwide, regardless of their cultural or regional backgrounds.
