Faith Comes Alive in Mexico
In a vibrant corner of Mexico, a group of children gathered with wide eyes and open hearts—ready for a day they wouldn’t soon forget. Through a special outreach event from CBN Animation’s Superbook, children from the community of Galilea and surrounding areas were introduced to the life-changing message of the Gospel in a way that was fun, engaging, and deeply meaningful.
The event began with a theatrical performance, setting the stage for what was to come. Many of the children were already familiar with Superbook from their churches and immediately recognized Gizmo, the beloved character featured on banners around the venue. Their excitement was palpable.
After a lively icebreaker, the children watched the Superbook episode “Roar!” The story of Daniel’s unwavering faith and God’s miraculous protection in the lions’ den sparked curiosity and reflection. Following the screening, the team led a discussion on the power of prayer—emphasizing that prayer is not about fancy words, but about honesty and sincerity.
Then came the most powerful moment of the day: the Gospel message was shared, and the children were invited to accept Jesus into their hearts.
17 of the 18 children made the decision to follow Christ.
After the prayer, the children participated in recreational activities and completed themed worksheets that reinforced the lesson. They were fully engaged, expressing joy and creativity as they colored scenes from the episode, “Roar!”. Each child received a Book of Life (a book of abridged Bible stories that also guides the reader in how to receive salvation), and some even asked for extra copies to share with siblings who couldn’t attend.
One boy approached a team member and asked when they would return—eager to continue learning more about the Bible. His question reflected the hunger for truth and connection that CBN Animation’s Superbook is helping to satisfy.
