A Week of Transformation in Kenya

In the heart of Kenya, something extraordinary unfolded at Tumaini Children’s Ministry during a week-long summer camp. Over the course of seven days, 120 participants—including students and teachers—gathered for a time of learning, laughter, and life-changing encounters with God. At the center of it all was CBN Animation’s Superbook, the animated Bible series that continues to touch hearts across the globe.

Pre-teens and teens dove into powerful Superbook lessons like “The Test,” “The Road to Damascus,” and “Roar!” These stories weren’t just entertainment—they were tools for transformation. Through engaging animations and thoughtful activities, the children began to understand God’s purpose for their lives, the power of obedience, and the strength found in faith.

In the second session, the teens learned about why God created them, their surroundings, and the importance of self-awareness. Group discussions helped them reflect on how to apply these truths in their daily lives and communities.

Each afternoon, small groups gathered to talk about what they had learned. These moments of sharing were deeply impactful, allowing students to process their experiences and grow together in faith.

Later in the week, younger children joined the camp. On Saturday, they watched “A Giant Adventure and participated in themed activities that brought the story to life. Afterward, a group of children learned the Salvation Poem, which they proudly presented in church the next day.

Three groups visited three different churches, where they not only performed but also preached the very lessons they had absorbed during camp. It was a powerful testimony of how God can use even the youngest voices to share his truth.

The impact didn’t stop with the children. Teachers from various churches attended the camp and shared glowing feedback. They expressed how much they had learned and how grateful they were for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful experience.

Throughout the week, Gizmo Time—a fun and interactive segment featuring Superbook’s beloved robot character—added joy and excitement to the camp. The children laughed, played, and connected with the stories in a way that was both spiritual and fun.

On Monday, before heading home, the team gathered for a final devotion with YWAM and the Tumaini team, followed by a debrief with the Tumaini staff. The week ended with hearts full of gratitude and hope.

And the most beautiful fruit of all?

37 children gave their lives to Christ.

A Global Movement of Faith

This week-long program at Tumaini Children’s Ministry is a shining example of how CBN Animation’s Superbook is transforming lives around the world. Superbook brings the gospel to Kenyan children in their own language of Swahili. And in many other nations around the world, Superbook is helping children discover the love of Jesus in their own languages in ways that are engaging, relatable, and unforgettable.
