Docs Fear Casting Crowns Lead May Have Cancer

Casting Crowns lead singer Mark Hall has asked friends and family for prayer after doctors found a mass in his kidney.

Doctors are 90 percent sure the mass, which Hall said is solid and in his right kidney, is cancerous.

"They believe the cancer is contained in the kidney, which is also a great hope. They will know more once it is out and pathology can see it," Hall wrote on his band's Facebook page. 

Hall asked his fans to pray for healing and God's peace for his family.

He signed his note "Praising Him in This Storm," a reference to one of the Casting Crowns' top song, "Praise You in This Storm."
