True Love Changes Everything

10-year-old Reaksa went to live with her grandparents after her parents abandoned her.

Reaksa said, “I was feeling lonely, like no one loved me.  My schoolwork suffered and I was shy in class.”

One day, while Operation Blessing was digging a well in her village, we shared an episode of CBN’s SuperBook with her.

“I still remember that day!” exclaimed Reaksa. “As they put in the new pump well, the lady showed us the SuperBook story of how God created the earth.  I love that cartoon so much! I realized that God really loves me! He forgave Adam and Eve so I believe that God will forgive me too.”

After watching that single episode, Reaksa told us she prayed to become a Christian. Soon after that, she said she did something else.

Reaksa explained, “Before I became a Christian, my grandparents gave me a Buddha bracelet. They said it would protect me.  I asked my teacher to cut it off. I told my grandparents, ‘I now believe in Jesus as my Savior.’ At first, they were mad, but when they saw how I changed for the better, they were ok with it.”

Since becoming a Christian, Reaksa has become a little evangelist too.

Reaksa said, “I took two of my friends to church with me on Sunday and now they all believe in Jesus too! I also helped my teacher share the Good News in another village. I thank God for SuperBook for helping me and my friends to know Jesus!”
