Angpao Finds Salvation at a Superbook Christmas Event
In the heart of Thailand, a 10-year-old boy named Angpao embarked on a journey that would change his life forever. As Buddhists, Angpao’s family followed their traditions faithfully, but in early December 2023, they received an invitation to a Christmas event at a local church. Intrigued by the idea of experiencing something new, Angpao eagerly asked his parents to take him. They agreed, curious about what the event might hold.
The church was abuzz with festive cheer as families gathered to celebrate. The highlight of the event was a screening of the Superbook episode “The First Christmas,” which captivated the young audience with its animated retelling of Jesus’ birth. Angpao and his parents watched intently, absorbing the story of Jesus and the message of love and salvation.
As the episode concluded, a Sunday school teacher addressed the crowd, asking if anyone was interested in learning more about God and wanted to accept Jesus into their lives. Without hesitation, Angpao raised his hand and walked to the front. His parents, moved by the story they had heard, decided to join him, and the whole family prayed to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
For Angpao, the decision to welcome Jesus into his life was driven by a desire for divine help with his health and a newfound understanding of forgiveness. He had struggled with being rebellious and sometimes disrespectful to his mother, but the event taught him that God listens to confessions and offers a way to escape from sin.
