Couple Rescues Puppy Frozen Underneath Shed

Noises coming from beneath a Greenbrier, Tennessee, couple's shed led to a stunning discovery - a puppy frozen to the ground.

April and Jason Dickerson had to melt the ice underneath the puppy in order to free her fur from the frozen earth.

"He (Jason) got her un-stuck and brought her in," April Dickerson recalled. "And she immediately went to the food bowl."

"I would hope that someone would have to be in extremely dire straits before they decided to just drop the puppy off," she said.

The family plans to take the puppy to the veterinarian later this week - that is, unless her owners come forward to claim her.

Thanks to social media and word of mouth, at least 50 people have volunteered to take the puppy.
