- [Reporter] Coming up, bestselling author and artist,
Jackie Hill-Perry, brings usthe best news in the world.
Then, a boater slips off a ladder
and lands right on a spinning propeller.
- Basically impaled under the blades.
- [Reporter] Now she'strapped under water.
- [Chelsey] I realized she was drowning.
- [Reporter] Can shemake it to the surface
and get stitched up in time?
- You just witnessed a miracle.
- [Reporter] On Today's 700 Club.
- Well, welcome to The 700 Club.
America is at war withan ever-changing target.
What is it?
The coronavirus andits multiple mutations.
But there is a secret weaponthat could mean the difference
between life and death foryou and your loved ones.
So, what is this secret weapon
and why is it essential to getthis little known treatment
as early as possible?
Dr. Chauncey Crandall explainsin this exclusive report
from Lorie Johnson.
- This week, PresidentBiden announced all adults
will need booster shots eight months
after becoming fully vaccinated
because of data showing adecrease in their effectiveness.
Illustrating we're in a waragainst an ever-changing enemy.
- It's mutating, it'smutating, it's mutating
and it's really, you know, your audience are Christians,
this is really like the devil himself
and he's going aftereveryone and he wants to kill
and destroy everyone in his path.
- [Lorie] Florida cardiologist,Chauncey Crandall,
says people should try toavoid becoming infected,
but should know whatto do if that happens.
- The best thing is really always to stay
strong and healthy.
You know, there's always adebate about the vaccine,
if you get the vaccine, Ithink you have some advantage,
but those that are unvaccinatedand many Christians
are unvaccinated, youneed to take precautions
and if you do appearthat you have symptoms,
you need to get tested and youneed to get tested early on,
don't wait.
- [Lorie] That's becauseof a little known treatment
called Regeneron.
- This is a dramatic treatment for those
that have COVID earlyon, not for the people
that are hospitalized, but for the people
that have early diagnosis.
- [Lorie] Regeneron wasgiven to President Trump
after he became infectedwith COVID last year.
The FDA granted emergency useauthorization in November.
The synthetic antibodybegins fighting the virus
soon after entering the body.
- Regeneron is the thingthat we must use today
to fight the battle andit is a winning tool.
- [Lorie] Florida governor, Ron DeSantis,
set up Regeneron infusionsites across the state.
- You go there, you will get an IV,
they will infuse this for an hour
and then you'll be underobservation for an hour
and if you do well, you go home.
- Can you take Regeneron prophylactically?
In other words, can you takeit instead of a vaccine?
- Well, it, sometimes itis approved for families,
those are also candidatesto receive Regeneron therapy
as a protective measure andwe know that this therapy,
which is a monoclonal antibody,
will prevent them from getting infection
in a household that is already infected.
- [Lorie] Dr. Crandall saysif more people used Regeneron,
perhaps hospitals wouldn'tbe so overwhelmed.
- Do you know that the families
aren't even allowed in these hospitals?
Ministers and churches aren't allowed in
and they're not going in, but I don't see
the church outside, so I'mcalling on the people of God
to pray this Friday and Saturday night
for all those that are in the hospitals
that are sick and dying right now.
- Dr. Crandall's ministryworks with area hospitals
offering prayer to patientsvia telephone or Zoom
and he's holding a prayerevent this weekend.
And for more information about that,
viewers can go to cbnnews.com.
This is a virtual event,so you don't have to be
in the West Palm Beach area, you can join from anywhere.
Pat.
- Lorie, I want you to knowthat Chauncey Crandall's
a dear friend of mine,he came to prominence,
one of his patients died,he's the head of cardiology
at Palm Beach General andone of his patients died
and he was in there and all of a sudden,
the power of the HolySpirit came upon him,
his hands began totremble, he laid his hands
on this person and said,"In the name of Jesus,"
and the man came back to life again.
That's the doctor we're talking about.
Lorie, let me ask you, how does somebody
get their hands on this Regeneron?
- Okay, before you goon, I just wanted to say
I also have had a personalexperience with Dr. Crandall
when he was here.
We prayed together.
A lot of our viewers know himbecause he's been on the show
and if people want to watch that testimony
that you just talked about,it's on the internet,
they can search it, and Iagree with you wholeheartedly,
he's that wonderfulcombination of a medical doctor
and an evangelist who loves the lord
and who knows the lord and he's concerned
about these people in the hospital,
not just about theirhealth, but particularly
about the unsaved people, thepeople who don't know Jesus,
who might die and so, Iagree with you wholeheartedly
about what a wonderful man he is.
But, to, getting to your question,
how do people get theirhands on Regeneron?
Go to the Regeneron website andyou can put in your zip code
and you can find infusion sites near you,
so that you'll have it onhand, so that if, God forbid,
you do become sick with COVID,you know where to go quickly,
because that's the key, Dr. Crandall says
you really want to get thatRegeneron within three days
of the onset of symptoms, soyou should know where to go
if you do, you're already ahead of time,
so that you know what todo if you become sick.
- Lorie, we were toldif we got vaccinated,
we were pretty much home free,
now they're saying that thevaccines aren't as effective.
Well, why don't they workas well as they should've.
- Well, that's a great question.
We do know that theydon't work as well now,
we've seen data from the UnitedStates and other countries.
For example, in Israel, theyshowed that the vaccines
had that 95% effectivenessfrom January through April,
but then in April, thingsstarted to taper off
and now a study from Israelshowed that the vaccines
are only 39% effective.
So, the question is why.
And is it because thevaccines just wane over time
or is it because theyare just not very good
at fighting Delta or both?
So, it's a little unclear at this point
why they're not working aswell as originally hoped,
but that's where we are, Pat.
- Well, it's just shocking, but really,
people still ought to get the vaccination.
You're not saying that they don't get it,
it still keeps you from going,
from dying in the hospital, right?
- Absolutely.
Doctors are saying thatwe still need vaccinations
because the vaccines doproduce those antibodies
that fight the virus, just not as much
as we had hoped originallyand so, that's why
they're saying that we need more vaccines.
So, that's why a lot ofdoctors are still saying
vaccines are the best protection.
We're still seeing, Pat,that hospitalized patients,
90% of hospitalizedpatients are unvaccinated,
but we are seeing morefully vaccinated people
being hospitalized andsadly, Pat, even dying.
- Thank you, Lorie.
Thank you for that report.
Regeneron, courtesy ofDr. Chauncey Crandall.
Well, now, turning to theescalating catastrophe
in Afghanistan.
Blowback is hitting President Biden hard.
His poll numbers aredropping with job approval
seven points down, thelowest of his presidency,
now, a classified cablefrom the U.S. Embassy
has revealed there was intelligence
that Afghanistan couldquickly cave to the Taliban
despite the president'sprotest to the contrary.
The international communityis also turning its outrage
on Biden, with one Europeanleader calling his blunder,
quote, "The greatest debaclein the history of NATO."
Here's Jennifer Wishon with more.
- [Jennifer] As many as 15,000 Americans
and tens of thousands more Afghans
who helped the U.S. militaryremain on the ground
in Afghanistan, desperateto escape the Taliban.
U.S. troops have restoredsome order inside the airport,
but outside, (gunshotspopping) panic continues.
Reports that at least 12 peoplehave been killed this week
due to gunfire or stampede,as the Taliban blocks people,
even some Americans with passports,
from getting through checkpoints.
President Biden says no matterwhen U.S. troops withdrew,
chaos was sure to follow.
- Getting out would be messyno matter when it occurred.
- [Jennifer] But a classified cable
from the U.S. Embassy in Kabul
to Secretary Blinken July 13th
warned of the Taliban's swift gains
and the collapse of the Afghan military
and called for speeding up evacuations.
Now, the president faces criticism
from America's NATO allies.
"This is the greatestdebacle that NATO has seen
since its foundation andit is an epical change
we are facing," said Armin Laschet,
who's expected to becomethe next German chancellor.
In Britain, members of parliament united
to hold President Biden in contempt,
accusing him of throwing the U.K.
and everybody else into the fire
in a move they fear willembolden Russia and China.
- Like many veterans, this last week
has been one that has seen me struggle
through anger and grief and rage.
The feeling abandonmentof not just a country,
but the sacrifice that my friends made.
- [Jennifer] And nowAmerican's European allies
are looking inward.
Frustrated with Biden's unilateral move
they say damaged and humiliated NATO.
- We can set out a vision, clearly articulate it,
for reinvigorating ourEuropean NATO partners
to make sure that we are not dependent
on a single ally, on thedecision of a single leader.
- And this afternoon, President Biden
is set to update Americanson evacuation efforts.
Jennifer Wishon, CBN News.
And, Pat, the president haspledged to keep U.S. troops
on the ground in Afghanistanuntil every single American
is evacuated.
- Jennifer, there werereports of Afghans rising up
in protest to the Taliban, but can you tell me
what's happening on the ground?
- Sure, you know, ironically, Pat,
yesterday was Afghanistan Independence Day
and so, you saw pockets ofAfghans waving their flag
and protesting thistakeover by the Taliban.
They say the Talibandoes not represent them.
They, unfortunately,were quickly dispersed
with gun wielding members of the Taliban.
And this is where we are,we have the Afghan people,
in a matter of days, have gone from freedom
to living in fear.
We know that women whohave enjoyed freedom,
who have been going to school,
who have been holding jobs, are now burning evidence
of all of that.
We have reports of womenwho say that young girls,
they and their friends areprepared to kill themselves
if the Taliban comes to their doors
and tries to take them awaybecause they think death
would be much better thananything they could experience
at the hands of the Taliban.
Men also burning any evidence
that they worked alongside the U.S.
And here's the problem, you know,
yesterday the president made it sound like
the Taliban was givingsafe passage to Americans
and their allies, that is not the case,
the Taliban is manning these checkpoints
as people try to go to the airport,
they're manning them with guns,
and so, you have Americans who are having
a hard time gettingthrough even if they have
an American passport, you have America's allies
who need to get to the airport,
but they're afraid toshow the Taliban evidence
that they worked with the U.S.and so, it's just a debacle.
It's gonna take a miracleto get all the Americans
and all of the alliesout in a timely manner
and, Pat, I can't help but think
it sure would be helpful ifAmerica still had control
of Bagram Air Base.
- Jennifer, this presidentreally is clueless.
You know, he got on the airand was being interviewed
and said, "There's nothing, how could I have made
any difference, I couldn't see it,"
he doesn't know anythingand we have a nation
that is without leadership.
Do you have anything in the polls?
They're really starting to turn,
the American people are turningagainst him, aren't they?
- Absolutely, Pat, thishas been a total disaster
for this president and we nowhave the numbers to show it.
You look at thepresident's approval rating
on Friday, August 13th, thatwas the Friday a week ago
before Afghanistan fell to the Taliban,
on that day, he was enjoyinga 53% approval rating.
Fast forward to Monday,August 16th, this past Monday,
his approval rating dropped to 46%.
That is a 7% drop injust a matter of days.
And as you said, Pat, thispresident is tone deaf
about the situation and he only continues
to double and tripledown on these decisions
that he's made.
You know, I think this, anyone who lived through 9/11,
anyone who lived through the beginning
of the Afghan war, youlook at my generation,
I know people who fought in the war,
I know people who arestill living with injuries
from the war, I knowpeople who died in the war,
you have parents who lost children,
you have Americans, injust a matter of weeks,
will commemorate 20 yearssince the attacks of 9/11/2001
and once again, the Talibanis in control in Afghanistan.
I think Americans are outragedat what they're seeing,
the desperation of the Afghan people
after so many, you know, were proud
of seeing Afghans get tovote for the first time.
It truly is just a terriblesituation for this country,
certainly for the Afghanpeople and for this president
and, you know, his agenda iscertainly dead on arrival.
This is gonna be with himfor many weeks and months.
- Are anybody resigning?
I mean, the secretary in state is a loser,
the chairman of theJoint Chief is a loser,
the secretary of defense, I mean,
he's got a goobledincompetence surrounding him
and he, himself, paintedthis nation as leaderless.
Is anybody resigning onaccount of all these things?
- Well, pressure isbeginning to grow there.
The president, you know,is standing by his decision
and he says that his military advisors
did not advise him to keep asmall number of troops there,
that everyone was on board here,
but you have to wonder,Pat, about the intelligence.
We've been there for 20 years,
didn't we know, didn't we see how quickly
the Taliban was moving?
Didn't someone read that cablefrom our embassy employee?
There's more than 20 Americansworking in the embassy
who said, "Hey, the Talibanis taking over here,
the Afghan army is not holdingand we've gotta act fast
to get Americans andour allies out of here,"
somebody was asleep at the switch
and so, if the president isn'twilling to take the blame,
then you have to wonder ifheads are gonna begin to roll
in terms of people getting fired.
- Jennifer, thank you very much.
And, ladies and gentlemen,I'll tell you what,
it's up to the lord to do something,
but we have the greatest nation on Earth
and it is leaderless.
The president and vicepresident are both incompetent
and they have done terrible things.
Every decision he's making is bad.
We're having rampanted inflation,
we have the Southern borderbeing overrun with people,
thousands of them, coming in,
we're busing those people, unvaccinated, throughout America
and you've got this problemwith job availability of workers
because the president continues
to give these government payments,
so people get more money from not working,
it's a chaotic situationin every single thing
that's going on and ournation's without a leader
and it's time that Americanpeople do something,
if nothing else, ask thelord for a change, whatever,
because we are, this is thegreatest nation on Earth
and we are flounderingbecause of bad leadership.
Well, in other news, 2,200 people are dead
and 30,000 are homeless.
That's the tragic tollfrom the 7.2 earthquake
that hit Haiti this week.
Some fear the number of dead could be
five times that amount.
Operation Blessingnational workers are busy
assisting local hospitals andproviding aid to the needy.
Now an international disaster relief team
is en route with a medical doctor
and a clean water specialist.
This team will providemuch needed supplies,
including generators, waterpurification equipment,
chlorine tablets and much more essentials.
And by the way, if you want to help,
and we'd love you to do that,
it's called OperationBlessing Disaster Relief Fund,
CBN Center, Virginia Beach, let's help
those suffering people in Haiti
who've been through suchtorment over the years
with bad leadership, Papa Doc Duvalier,
Baby Doc Duvalier and all of the tyranny
that has been imposed upon them.
The Haitians are goodpeople, they just need
the tongue of the lord.
Terry.
- Well, up next, sayingno to cancel culture,
protecting religiousrights and standing up
for persecuted Christians.
What nation may beEurope's last best hope?
Find out, coming up.
And then, she's a poet with2.5 million hits on YouTube
and the best selling authorof "Gay Girl, Good God",
Jackie Hill-Perry shares hercome to Jesus moment live
on today's 700 Club.
(upbeat music)
- A nation devoted to biblical principles
advocating for persecutedChristians worldwide
and standing up to cancel culture.
My, what country is doing that?
It's not the United States.
It's the Eastern Europeannation of Hungary,
which used to be undercommunist domination.
So, why is the EUtargeting its government?
Jennifer Wishon explains.
- The European nation of Hungary
is helping Christians in away unlike any other country.
Tell us why Hungary is so interested
in advocating and protectingpersecuted Christians
around the world.
- Hungary is a Christian nation.
- [Jennifer] To hearSecretary Tristan Azbej
talk about Hungary's national dedication
to biblical principlesis, in today's world,
a jaw-dropping experience.
- We are trying to implementthe social teachings
of the Christian faith andthe Bible in our policies
and part of that is theprotection of human dignity,
human freedom, but also partof that is the protection
of the sanctity of family and marriage.
- [Jennifer] His positionin the Hungarian government
exists for one purpose, tohelp persecuted Christians
around the world through aprogram called Hungary Helps.
- Christians are the mostpersecuted religious group
in the world.
There are 340 millionpeople who are discriminated
or threatened or sufferinggenocidal attacks
because of their faith in Christ.
- [Jennifer] In four years,Hungary has supported
a quarter million persecuted Christians,
helped reconstruct 67 churches in Lebanon
and completely rebuilt theChristian town of Telskuf in Iraq
after it was decimated by ISIS.
- 900 buildings were damaged.
The church there wasused for target practice
by the Jihadis.
- [Jennifer] Of the 1,300Christian families who fled,
1,000 have returned andnow refer to their village
as the Daughter of Hungary.
Hungary's approach is simple,
Azbej and his team traveled towhere Christians are hurting
and asked to help, theirreception is universal.
- And they are trulyshocked in the good sense
that there is someone in the world
who is actually caring about their faith.
- [Jennifer] In the last few months,
he's visited seven countrieson four continents.
I caught up with Azbej in Washington
at the InternationalReligious Freedom Summit,
where, in the future, hehopes more governments
follow Hungary's leadto aid the persecuted.
- What we want to achievethat next to the town
that is called now Daughter of Hungary,
I wish that there was a son of the U.S.
- [Jennifer] Increasingly,Hungary faces scrutiny
over its traditional valuesfrom the European Union.
- [Crowd Of People Together]We are here and we are queer.
- [Jennifer] And LGBT activists.
Tensions flared this summerwhen Hungary's parliament,
the National Assembly, passeda law to protect children
from exposure toinappropriate sexual content,
including homosexualcontent, and to preserve
the rights of parentsto retain sole control
over their children's sexual education.
The Executive Branch of the European Union
launched legal action over the law,
saying it discriminatesagainst LGBT people.
"Hungary has failed to explainwhy the exposure of children
to LGBTIQ content assuch would be detrimental
to their wellbeing or not inline with the best interests
of the child," the EU explains,
giving Hungary two months to respond.
- We are seeing a very strong lobby
in the European Unionto push gender ideology
through the European Uniondirectives and the legislation
and those are, that'ssuch a strong initiative
and lobbying power thateventually it will be mandatory
to be implemented in the member states
of the European Union, sowe have made this measure
to protect our whole legalsystem from that lobby
and from that intention, which is completely,
completely alien andforeign from the values
of the Hungarian people.
- His nation's constitution,adopted in 2011,
is consistent with Christian teachings.
- We have confirmed in our constitution
that the marriage is betweenone man and one woman,
that life has to beprotected from conception.
- [Jennifer] And recently, the nation amended it
to confirm a mother is awoman and a father is a man.
- This seems to be a strangething that it is needed
to be put in a constitution.
- [Jennifer] Beyond thepolitics, Azbet says
through his extraordinary job,he's received so much more
than he's given.
- I have been meetingwith true heroes of faith
in the persecuted Christian communities
and I have gained such a great strength
from their testimonies, from their faith,
even despite all thethreats and the humiliation
they are facing that also it was
a true faith experience for me.
So, it's maybe not us Western Christians
who are supporting thepersecuted brothers and sisters
in the Middle East and inAfrica, they are supporting us.
They have a message to keep our identity,
to keep our faith in Christ.
- [Jennifer] It's a messageHungary's taking to heart
as Azbet shows the love of Jesus
to the nation's Christianbrothers and sisters
suffering around the world.
- In our department, we neverhad any motivational problems
because all of my colleaguesare fully understanding
the importance of this mission.
- Data shows some 340 million Christians
are being discriminated, facing threats
or suffering genocidal attacks
because of their faith in Jesus
and could use some help from Hungary,
along with the rest of the world.
Jennifer Wishon, CBN News.
- You know, ladies and gentlemen,
we need to pray for acountry like Hungary.
We, they're taking a fabulous stand,
but it looks like, now, theLGBTQ, the homosexual group,
is becoming dominant all over the world
and if you read the Book of Romans,
it's made clear thatthis is the last phase
of the Gentile Apostasy.
I mean, it states right there very clear
and it's like a madnessis taking over the world
and it certainly is prevalentin laws being passed
that will impose thislifestyle upon many people.
And to think the European Union
is coming against Hungary is horrible.
But, you need to pray for those people
and what a brave group they are
and we are just thrilledto hear what they're doing,
but know that there'san attack against them.
So, pray that God will bless Hungary.
Terry.
- Still ahead, how dida day on the open water
turn deadly and what miracle spared
this disemboweled boater's life?
You have to see it to believe it.
That's coming up.
But first, what's thebest news in the world
and also the key to trusting God?
Jackie Hill-Perry tells it like it is
when she joins us live right after this.
(upbeat music)
No sermon and no altarcall, Jackie Hill-Perry
was simply sitting on herbed when she met Jesus
and since then, Jackiehas never been the same.
- [Narrator] Best sellingauthor, speaker and podcaster,
Jackie Hill-Perry, wants tohelp if you're struggling
with trust issues, especiallywhen it comes to trusting God.
Growing up, she had ahard time counting on men,
which led her to turn to women for love.
When God called her outof the gay lifestyle,
his love taught her thatshe could rely on him.
In her book, "Holier Than Thou",
Jackie shares the keyingredient to trusting God
and how it has the powerto change your life.
- Jackie Hill-Perryjoins us now via Skype.
Hi, Jackie, nice tohave you with us today.
- How are you?
Thanks for having me.
- You were 19 when you feltlike God was convicting you
of your lifestyle, what wasit that helped you choose
to trust him in that moment?
- I mean, primarily, it wasthe Holy Spirit's conviction
and him changing my heartand making all that God
said that he is and all thathe's revealed in his word true.
But, I think, ultimately, Ijust saw that God was better
than everything that I wastempted to leave him for.
- In your book, which I loved, by the way,
you say that we havemisunderstood holiness,
talk about that.
- Yeah, I think holinesshas typically been framed
primarily around the moral purity of God,
which is because God issinless, you are unlike him,
you are sinful, therefore, you're going to hell.
And to a certain degree, that's true.
His righteousness does matter.
But it's not just that,it's also that he's unique
and he's transcendent and heexists differently than us.
And if we do want to landon the sinlessness of God,
it's that, okay, if God can't sin,
that means he can't sin against me
and if God can't sin against me,
then that makes him the mosttrustworthy being there is
and so, I think it's helpful to not just
believe God's holiness in the abstract,
but also bring it down andsee how it's an incentive
for our faith.
- Sometimes it's hard for us to grasp
the holiness of God becausehe's so different than we are
and you talk about thatin the book so well.
Talk a little bit about theneed for us to understand
the holiness of God andwhy that's the best news
in the world.
- Yeah, I think it'snecessary to understand
because by understandingthe holiness of God,
we're understanding God himself.
Ya know, Isaiah 6, "theangels are singing,
'Holy, holy, holy is the lord of wholes,
the whole Earth is full of his glory.'"
And the interesting thing is that
when Isaiah saw the holiness of God,
Isaiah then understood himself.
And I think in our currentcontemporary context,
we believe that we understand God
by understanding ourself first,
but that's actually backwards.
And so, it's a huge deal becausehe is the reason we exist,
he is the reason we were madeand even the gospel message
doesn't land as hard until we realize
that it's the transcendentmorally pure god
that condescended, tookon flesh, took on our sin,
died and then rose from the dead
and now offers life topeople who are so unlike him.
- You dedicate a whole chapterin the book to holy justice,
justice is such an issuein the world today,
as well as in our own culture here,
what does that look like?
Holy justice?
- Yeah, justice matters because justice
is about righteousness.
Ya know, when we talk about sin,
we're talking about thefact that people are guilty
of not abiding by God's law asgiven to us in the scriptures
and because of that, because God is just,
he must judge sinners.
But the kindness of Godis that he sent his son
and judged sin in his son, sothat all who trust and believe
in Jesus won't have tobe judged in that way,
but all we get is life.
And I think the realityis is that all Christians
should recognize that justice
is a righteousness issue, period.
- Ya know, I think sometimeswe think we're trusting God,
but we're really, asyou even said earlier,
we're doing it in the reverse,
we're trusting him because we drum it up
in our hearts somehow, butwhat are some of the idles
that might prevent us fromactually trusting God,
believing he is who he says he is
and surrendering into that.
- I think one huge idleis self-sufficiency.
- [Terry] Yeah.
- Believing that, ya know,we, in and of ourselves,
have everything we need, ya know?
And so, that's thereason why we don't pray.
We think it's busyness,no, it's that we think
we're self-sufficient.
It's the reason why wedon't lean into community.
Why?
Because we don't thinkwe need other people
for our spiritual growth.
Why don't we read and studyand sit inside of the Bible?
It's because we're stillresting on the Bible passages
that we read two weeksago, we think that's gonna
carry us through this yearand so, self-sufficiency
is a humongous idle that weneed to rid ourselves of.
- And what, here, well, you're talking,
you're talking to people of God here,
people who, you know.
- Oh, absolutely.- Yeah.
Not the unsaved, butthose who are, you know,
struggling to work out their salvation
with fear and trembling.
- Yeah.- How can we develop
holy vision?
- Hmm, yes, in Cor, 2 Corinthians 3
it says that beholdingthe glory of the lord,
we are transformed into the same image
from one degree of the lord to another.
Because it's, I thinkwe are prone to think
that holiness is juststop doing X, Y and Z.
- [Terry] Yeah.
- And that's a part of it,but I think holiness is also
who are we looking at?
Who is our vision on?
And so, beholding the glory of the lord
is simply when we read the scriptures,
even when we look at theworld, look at the glory.
You see that God createdthe heavens and the Earth,
that's glory, you see in Genesis 3,
even after Adam and Eve sinned,
God slaughtered a lamb,or slaughtered a animal
to cover their shame.
That is glory.
You see him splittingseas and him condescending
on a mountain to give his law,
you see him becoming a man and healing
and raising the dead, that is glory,
but it's not something we just look at,
it's something we believe and it informs
how we, then, live our life.
- Yeah, it really doesinform how we live our lives.
I loved your book, "Holier Than Thou",
what do you want the takeaway to be
for people who read this?
- Yeah, I just want people to have
a fuller intellectual understandingof the holiness of God,
but I also want theiraffections to be engaged
in such a way where itisn't that you just know
some stuff about God,but you also want him.
- Well, I want to mentionagain the title of the book,
"Holier Than Thou", it's her newest book,
"How God's Holiness Helps Us Trust Him".
You can find this wherever books are sold,
it's a wonderful book.
Jackie, thank you somuch for being with us,
it's great to see you.
- Thank you.
Thank you for having me.
Well, still ahead, trapped underwater
with an outboard motoreviscerating her chest.
There's no way anyone couldsurvive such an assault, right?
Dead wrong.
And you'll see why after this.
(upbeat music)
- It's horrible tocontemplate, disemboweled.
Disemboweled, that's whathappened to Lee Ann Dorn.
Lee Ann was boating with her family
when she fell overboard, but then she was impaled
by the propeller of the boat.
Doctors could do nothing for her,
so how could Lee Ann possibly survive?
It took a miracle.
(lighthearted music)
- I thought her bathingsuit had gotten caught
and entangled into theprop and in that moment,
I was trying to just help her up,
I was like, "Oh, maybe that's what it is,"
and then I realized she was drowning.
- [Narrator] Memorial Day weekend 2019,
Phil Dorn, along with his wife, Lee Ann,
and daughter, Chelsey, enjoyed a day of boating
with friends in Destin, Florida.
- Eight of us set outfor a little bit of time
in the Destin Harbor and Crab Island
and some of the funspots on the water here
in the Destin area.
- [Narrator] Towards the end of the day,
Lee Ann and Chelsey wentswimming one last time.
Moments later, Chelseynoticed her mom underwater
and began screaming for help.
- I wasn't real sure what had happened
until I got to the back of the boat
and saw Lee Ann basically impaled
up against the back of the boat
into the blades of the motor.
- [Narrator] Lee Ann hadslipped off the ladder
and fallen onto the propeller,
which was still spinning.
They struggled toseparate her from the prop
before finally getting herback on the boat minutes later.
- And all I could thinkabout at that moment
was that we've taken too long, this is too long of a rescue,
too much, you know, andit just hit me right then,
it wasn't happening.
- My mom was not breathing at all.
I gave her two rescue breaths
and in those rescue breaths, she did cough
and open her eyes.
I felt a slight sense of hopeand relief in that moment
and immediately justgrabbed onto her organs
'cause I knew that we had to keep them in
and close to her body as we could.
- [Narrator] Heartbroken and overwhelmed,
Phil turned to God for help.
- I started praying on the boat
when I was holding herup by her shoulders.
I knew we were in a verydifficult time and moment.
So many thoughts aregoing through you, but,
and I was praying for mywife and I was praying for
my daughter and my son, too,
because we just don't knowwhat's going on at that moment.
- [Narrator] They rushed Lee Ann to shore
where they were met byemergency responders.
Chelsey called her brother, Carl,
and told him to get to the scene.
- They blocked off a huge area
and then when I sawthe helicopter come in,
that's when I kind of realizedhow serious it actually was.
- [Narrator] When theyarrived at the hospital,
they were told theseverity of her injuries.
- And then she said, "Mr.Dorn, I need to tell you
that there's nothing we cando for your wife right now,"
and she said, "She's toounstable and all we can do
is try to keep her comfortable."
At that moment, all we could do,
and I told them all wecould do is start to pray
and to get as many peopleto pray with us as we could.
That was the only resourcewe had to help my wife.
- I was texting my really close friends
and we contacted family members,
they started to pray and at that point,
they reached out to their church groups
who started to pray.
There were thousands ofprayers from all over the world
that started to come in for my mom.
It was beautiful.
- [Narrator] Lee Ann clung to life.
She had a collapsed lung from drowning
and her kidneys had shut down.
Doctors were able toperform emergency surgery,
then a second surgery followedthat flushed the saltwater
from her abdomen.
Thankfully, her kidneys quickly revived.
- And we saw firsthand the waythat those prayers helped us
and I'm beyond grateful.
- [Narrator] Beforebringing her out of the
medically induced coma, doctors did an EEG
and discovered burst suppressions,
a condition that causes brain damage
and eventually leads to death.
The family's prayers intensified.
- I just rememberweeping, just begging God
that I would do anythingif she would be okay.
It was just weird, it wasjust like all of the sudden,
like, everything that I was worried about
just kind of went away and that was, like,
the first time my lifeI actually ever felt
more than just saying stuff, like, I actually ever felt God.
- [Narrator] The next day, a second EEG
provided a miraculous report.
- The neurosurgeon came back in the room
and said, "This isunbelievable, but we found
no burst suppressionsand we can see no damage
at this time," and she said,"You have to understand,
this just doesn't happen."
- Our family doctor told us,"There's no medical explanation
to this, absolutely none, youjust witnessed a miracle,"
were his exact words.
- [Narrator] Lee Ann soon stabilized.
She spent 12 days in the ICUand was discharged on day 16.
Her journey hasn't beeneasy, but all involved
experienced the power ofprayer and God's goodness
during their time of need.
- I truly know that it was prayer and God
who saved me, absolutely.
I believe it, it was thefaith behind the prayers
that God heard and God saved me
and I'm a million percenthappy that I'm still here, yes.
- Now she gets to meet her granddaughter
and gets to be here for weddings
and gets to be a part of things
that I thought I wasn'tgonna get to have my mom for.
- When you ask me, "How is she today?"
I think she's fantasticbecause I remember that moment,
I remember those moments.
For me, it's miraculous tosee where she's come from,
from that moment in theICU to what I see now.
We all realize that it was God
that performed all these things
and we were fortunate to bea part of it and to see it.
- It was God who performedall these things.
You see, the God of heaven did it.
It was humanly impossible.
Somebody whose insides had been torn away
by a propeller on a boat.
You don't live from that, there's no way.
But there was a way because God did it.
Now, here's somethingelse that has happened,
I think we ought to share with you.
There's a guy named Mark, hesent us an email and said,
"I was watching The 700 Club,
Terry received a word of knowledge,
somebody who'd beensuffering by hearing loss."
"I'd had trouble with my left ear
for at least a couple of months now
and now I immediately claimed my healing,
two days went by, nothing's changed,
and then this morning, out of the blue,
my ear popped, whatever hadbeen causing the problem
was cleared away and Ican hear just as well
out of my left ear as my right."
"Praise God, he is good."
- [Terry] Well, Pat, this is Charlene,
she lives in White Plains, New York.
She felt unusually tired, chronic fatigue
became a part of everyday life.
She was watching this program,
she heard you, Pat, say, "There'sa mitochondrial imbalance
in your cells, I believethe name is Charlene,
you don't have any energy."
"Suddenly, there's a burst of energy
going through your body right now."
She called the CBN prayer linefor confirmation and prayer.
Soon after, she experienceda warmth and a tingling
all over her body andwas completely healed.
Praise the lord.- Mitochondrial energy.
Isn't that something?- And you knew,
you said her name, you don't know her,
but you said her name.
- Yeah, Charlene, I didn't know Charlene.
- But Jesus does.- Hey, listen,
we're gonna pray for you right now.
It's always fun to seewhat God's gonna do.
So, would you pray with us?
Terry and I are gonna join hands
and we're gonna pray together for you
and miracles are goingto happen in your life.
Father, thank you, Lord, for healing Charlene,
thank you for healing these other people,
thank you for doing thingsby the power of God.
And now, Lord, we comeupon you and we ask, Lord,
that you might touch thelives of those who are here.
In the name of Jesus, Godalmighty is delivering you
from demonic oppression.
There's some that are justoverwhelmed with fear,
you have an unreasonable fear
and God is dealing withyou, and some others
are haunted by suicidal thoughts,
your mind wants to kill yourself
and others want to kill, somebody wants to kill
somebody else, you are beingpossessed by a demonic spirit
and in the name of Jesus,I bind Satan's power now,
lose them.
You are set free in Jesus' name.
Terry.
- Yeah, someone else, you have a chronic,
and I mean chronic, issue with your sinuses.
Constant draining andit affects your voice,
your swallowing, even yourstomach is upset from it,
God is healing that condition for you,
it's just gonna dry up,you're not gonna have
the problem anymore.
- Thank you, Lord.
And, Father, right now, once again,
we pray for those people in Afghanistan
who are suffering, wepray for people in Haiti
who are suffering, there'sso many around the world
that are suffering, Lord, but we ask
that you would comfort themand come up on them in blessing
and, Lord, deliver us,deliver us as a world
and a nation from theterrible ravages of evil
that wants to come uponus, in the name of Jesus,
we bind Satan's power over this world
and over nations, in Jesus' name, Lord,
may your name be exaltedin the highest heavens.
Thank you, Lord.
Amen and amen.- Amen.
- Now, let me ask you, if youhave had a answer to prayer,
we'd love to hear about it.
If you need prayer, we're here for you.
It's 1-800-700-7000.
Okay?
Call in.
Terry.

he'd be top salesman andreceive a huge bonus.
Since then, the sky's been the limit,
so what was Steve's secret to success?
Let him tell you himself.

(upbeat music)
- [Narrator] Steve went frombeing thousands of dollars
in debt to running a business
that beat out Fortune 500 companies
for multimillion dollar contracts.
So, how did he do it?
He says it's all becauseof his late wife, Linda.
- I learned from hera lot about obedience.
She was quicker than me.
- [Narrator] Steve had beenworking a low salary job
as a defense contractor,Linda was a stay at home mom.
Credit card bills began to pile up.
That's when a church elder told Steve
to get on board with hiswife and start tithing.
Within a few months after that decision,
Steve was named salesman of the year
and given a huge bonus.
- That was evidence right away
that God was going to blessme as I would obey his word.
- [Narrator] Within a fewyears, he and a partner
started a company sellingequipment parts to the military.
In 2002, they scored amajor multimillion dollar
defense contract.
- What it did was increasedmy faith tremendously
in every aspect, including tithing.
- [Narrator] As Steve earned more money,
he started giving more away.
One of his favoriteplaces to support is CBN.
- I love the testimoniesbecause those are real people
that experience real challenges
and God met them in their need.
- [Narrator] Steve and hispartner sold his company in 2017,
two years before Linda passed away.
Now, semi-retired,Steve has written a book
where he shares the secret to his success,
the one Linda taught him many years ago.
- Just be a giver.

Okay.
(upbeat music)
Pat, this is a viewer who says,
"Pat, can you explain Psalm 91?"
"My family claimed itand we still got COVID."
"What do we have to doto make Psalm 91 work?"
- Well, you know, the Psalmsays, among other things,
"Because he has set his love upon me,
therefore, I will do these things,"
and I know that "He thatdwelleth in the secret place
in the most high shallabide under the shadow
of the almighty that he goesthrough all those things,"
but then he says he then sent his love
and what you need to do,are you sending your love
on the lord?
Do you love God?
And the god we're talking about
is he who causes everything to be.
Do you set your love onthe author of the universe,
the one who's in charge of everything?
That's the secret.
You asked me what's the secret,
the secret is because hehas sent his love upon me,
therefore, I will, all right?
- This is Joe, whosays, "What do you think
about my preacher who sayshe's not into live music
before he preaches?"
"He said if you're there to hear music,
then you should just stay home."
"I'd like to hear yourthoughts on that, Pat."
- I'll tell you what, Ibelieve in having some music
which sets the phrase, but you have
this so-called worship time in churches
and it just drives me nuts,if you want to know the truth.
They keep on singingand singing and singing,
you say, "Enough already, let's get into the preaching,
let's get into the word,"and so, I don't know
exactly which one you're talking about,
but that's my feeling.
I think the songs should setup what is going to be done
and then it's a questionof hearing the word
or it's an offering ofyour tithes and offerings
or what have you, but tojust sing, sing, sing, sing
for about 20 minutes inthe beginning of a service,
I think is, to me, is obnoxious.
- [Terry] How do youreally feel about that?
- That's how I really feel.
- Okay.
This is Patsy, who says, "I'ma 94 year old Christian woman
and I do not feel at peaceabout getting the shot."
"But it's reached the point now
that unless you have the shot,
there are things that you can't do
and places you can't get into."
"Now, what do you suggest that I do?"
- Well, I don't know.
You know, this COVID is really awful.
I mean, I can't tell you how awful it is.
My friend, Jay Saccalo, who I love so much,
his wonderful brother died of COVID
at 57 years old.
Now, he was a diabetic, but he didn't get the shot
and I don't see why youwouldn't want to do it,
I don't care if you're 90 or 92 or five
or whatever you are.
This stuff is deadly and it will kill you.
So, why not get the shot, okay?
- This is a viewer who says,"Hi, Pat, my question is
why do we have to pray without ceasing?"
"Do we have to keep askingGod over and over again?"
"I feel like I'm begging and pleading."
- Well, the Bible says, "Keepon asking, keep on knocking,"
it's Greek present tense, you keep on doing it
until you get the answer.
Once you get the answer, thenyou start praising the lord.
So, but, he talked aboutthe importunate widow,
he talked about, that wasin the word of the lord,
you keep on asking untilyou get the answer.
There's nothing wrong with that at all.
Well, thank you verymuch for those questions,
I think we're running out of time,
but we want to leave youwith our power minute
from Hebrews.
"Let us hold unswervinglyto the hope we profess,
for he who promised is faithful."
And on Monday, chaos at ground zero
of America's immigration crisis.
Take a wild ride down the cart of death
on Monday's 700 Club.
So, for all of us, this is Pat Robertson
and for Terry and me and all of our staff,
we hope you have a marvelous weekend
and I will be back withyou again on Monday.
We'll see you then.
Bye bye.
