- This just in.
To all you people out there, thank you.
And thank you for watchingThe Superbook Show.
- Oh yeah, thanks.
(dramatic music)
- John, you forgot again?
- Forgot what?
- We were supposed to dressup as news anchors today.
- Ooh, that's why my mom was like,
"You're going out dressed like that?"
I just thought she didn't like my outfit.
- But this was important, you ruined the whole skit.
You gotta remember the important things.
- Oh yeah?
Where in the Bible does it say,
"Thou shalt remember?"
I think you're thinkingof The Lion King dude.
Remember, remember.
- [Kaitlin] A lot ofthe book of Deuteronomy
is about Moses telling theIsraelites not to forget
all the things God did tobring them out of slavery
in Egypt.
- [John] Ooh.
- God reminds us that hewon't forget the covenant
or the promises that he's made to us.
- Okay, it's starting to come back now.
- Yeah. The Holy spiritbrings back to our memory,
what Christ teaches us in his word.
- Okay, I think I get it.
- Oh, and communion.
I mean, the whole point is remembering
that Jesus died for our sins.
- Okay. I think you've made your point.
- When something's important,
we have to try to make ita priority to remember it.
- Okay. So, what kind ofthings did the Israelites do?
- The way they made their clothes,
built and decorated their houses,
holidays and meals, all reflected God.
- Okay. Oh, that's cool.
It also sounds like a lot.
- Oh, definitely.
But there has to be somethingyou can do that works for you.
- Well, when my mom wantsme to remember something,
she just makes me write it down.
- Excellent.
Getting something out of your head
and putting it on paper is a great start.
- Well, and sometimes Iput reminders on my phone
and on my computer.
- Excellent.
Repetition is good too.
- What is?
- Repetition?
- Just to be clear, what did you say?
- Repe...
I see what you did there, awesome.
And just like anything else,
a great place to start is with prayer.
Simply ask God to help you.
- So, when did you tell meto dress up for today's show?
- Well, I know I sent an email on Friday.
(gasp for breath)
Wait. I forgot to press send.
- Oh no.
- Wait, what? What's wrong?
- That means my mom reallydidn't like my outfit.
(trumpet descending)
Sorry, mom.
- His word is forever alive.
(air whooshing)

(laughing)
Okay. Oh yeah. We're in the button.
- We're picking up from there.
