- All right, let's take 'em.
- Okay, Pat, this first onecomes from James who says,
"About three weeks ago, I went through a
"below-the-knee amputation.
"Yesterday, I fell on my amputation.
"That was the worst pain I'veever experienced in my life.
"If God is my protector and my healer
"why did He not help me at all?
"How am I supposed to continue
"to trust God when I needed Him
"and He essentially sat there
"watching me struggle in agony.
"I'm confused to my core.
"Does God love me?"
- Well, the answer is, yes, God loves you.
And we all have, the Biblesays there is no testing
taken you but such as is common to man.
But God is faithful, Whowill with the testing
make a way of escape thatyou may be able to bear it.
You know, out of thissuffering you have found
a new walk with God.
And the Bible says, "He that has
"suffered in the flesh is free from sin."
You have had a new experience.
Rather than turning against God,
use it as a means to grow in your faith.
All right?
- This is Paul who says,
"God has the power to heal in a second.
"So is it okay for Christians to have a
"do not resuscitate order?"
- Well, I think you'veconfused the two things.
Of course, God can heal in a second,
but there comes a time that a person wants
to die with dignity.
There is a time that all of us must die.
And when we die, thedo not resuscitate says
I don't want to waste millions of dollars
or thousands of dollars on heroic efforts,
to keep me alive, when really,
I wanna go to be with the Lord.
That's what this is all about.
And people say, look,it's time for me to die.
Don't come in with a whole bunch of tubes
and, and artificial meansof keeping me going.
That's what it's about.
All right.
- Ed asks, "How does the Holy Spirit
"and speaking in tongues relate?
"I have a friend that isa good Christian woman
"but doesn't believein speaking in tongues.
"She even makes jokes about it.
"I don't think this iswise, but she won't listen.
"Any scripture to prove thisis wrong to make jokes?"
- Yeah, it's blasphemy against the Spirit.
I mean, it's, she's, she's indanger of eternal damnation.
And people will say, well thisis of the devil and so forth.
When the power of the Spirit came, look,
the highest centers of ourbrain are those centers that
controls speech, the thing that sets us
above the inanimate creatures
or the other, they callthem dumb creatures
is because they can't speak.
And so when the Lord tookcontrol of the speech attributes
of His disciples, theybegan to praise God.
And it was a means of praising the Lord.
And that's what it was.
But somebody that makes fun of that
they are treading onvery dangerous ground.

"My grandson who is 22 andraised as a Christian has
"suddenly decided Christianityand Jesus are fake.
"Now, he believes in Norse mythology
"and the Norse gods,specifically, Odin and Loki.
"He belongs to a group thatbelieves this way and they say
"Christianity got rid ofall the proof of their gods.
"His mom and I have no idea what to do.
"Besides praying, any other suggestions?"
- I do think, I like thatone scripture that says,
"It is appointed unto man once to die
"and after that, the judgment."
And you say, look, you thinkLoki and Odin are going
to be able to help you?
Norse gods?
Can you tell me one time that Loki died
for your sins and rose from the dead?
You know, ask him, showhim the message of Jesus.
When He appeared to His disciples
and brought forth miracles.
But, you know, I would pray.
That's the most important thing.
What else?
- Bill wants to know, "Iread in the Bible that
"there are an innumerablenumber of angels.
"Are angels male or female?"
- They are not without sex.
They do not marry, they'renot given in marriage.
And the, they do mostly,
the ones we're familiarwith have male names,
but they're not, to my knowledge,
I don't think there's afemale angel. (chuckling)
My wife is a big, she likes, you know,
pictures of angels and a lot of 'em have
hair and flowing robes.
But they're Raphael andMichael, and such names as that.
But they're sexless,they do not reproduce,
and so the angels are spiritual, spirits.
