(dramatic music)

- [Announcer] The followingprogram is sponsored by CBN.

- [Wendy] Coming up,

the $1.5 trillion industrythat's making you fat.

- I continue to be shocked

by the level of their cunning deviousness.

- [Wendy] See how foodcompanies are tricking

your brain into craving more.

- Your brain is kinda putto sleep and it's going,

"Okay, let's have some more great taste."

- [Wendy] Then a real lifecowboy who chased wild horses.

- The horse bucks, jumpsin the air, is wild,

changes directions, and wejust have to react and respond.

- [Wendy] And this rodeostar used to be one himself.

- Taking control of a completelyuncontrollable situation.

- [Wendy] On today's "700 Club."

(dramatic music)

- Welcome, folks, to thisedition to "The 700 Club."

I hope you all had awonderful Easter holiday.

And Terry is with us.

Did you have a wonderful holiday?

- I did, it was a beautiful day here.

I don't know what it was like in your part

of the country but here it was perfect.

- It was beautiful.

Well, I'm pleased toreport on Friday I finally,

I waited for the J and J vaccine.

One shot, not any reaction whatsoever,

not one, and not any pain, nothing.

- That's great, that's great.

- It was a model of efficiency, the way they did it.

They had the NationalGuard working with them.

They processed thousandsof people in this one site.

It was remarkable.

- There were thousands there?

- They were standingin line and everything.

Anyhow, I was very happy.

And now I'm supposed towait two weeks and then-

- Then you're good to go.

(Terry and Pat laughing)

- I'm good to go,whatever it is, I'm ready.

Well, folks, if you want to get impressed,

a staggering $2 trillion fora massive infrastructure bill.

Well, we would all likea good infrastructure.

Nobody wants potholes.

Nobody wants bridges falling down.

But what is the White House touting?

And why is only 615 billion actually

going to go for infrastructure?

Where's the rest of thatthree trillion dollar going?

Plus, what's the whopping tax increase

that's going to pay for it all?

Dale Hurd has more.

- The White House may callit an infrastructure bill,

but to Republicans, it's agoodie bag of left wing spending.

And Republican Senator Roy Blunt says only

about 615 billion ofBiden's $2 trillion plan

actually goes forinfrastructure improvements.

There's more in the package, George,

for charging stationsfor electric vehicles,

174 billion, than there is forroads, bridges, and airports.

- [Dale] The bill includes 213 billion

for so-called sustainableand affordable housing.

400 billion to expand homeor community-based care

for seniors and people with disabilities.

And 174 billion for programsto build a national network

of 500,000 electricvehicle chargers by 2030.

- We're going to have autoworkers, union auto workers,

I hope, making cars one way or the other.

Why not have them leading the revolution

into electric vehicles?

Which, by the way, there isa very hot competition for.

- [Dale] Blunt said if the administration

could have kept the bill focused

on infrastructure needs,it would have sailed

through Congress with bipartisan approval.

But Energy SecretaryJennifer Granholm indicated

to CNN the White House iswilling to pass the bill

without Republican supportraising the possibility

of using a budgetary maneuver

that limits the amountof votes needed to pass.

Meaning Vice PresidentKamala Harris might once

again cast the tie-breakingvote in the Senate.

In addition to the wastefulspending is the means

to pay for it.

A hike in the corporateincome tax from 21% to 28%

and an increase in taxes oncompanies' foreign earnings.

- Corporations, we all know,

have not been paying their fair share.

- [Dale] But after DonaldTrump pushed American companies

to return their factories to the US,

Republicans are worriedthe tax hike will encourage

corporations to leave againtaking jobs with them.

- If we go back to the firstor second highest corporate tax

in the world, which worksto our disadvantage.

- And some Democrats don't like the bill

either because it will hurt business

or doesn't spend enough ontheir favorite left-wing causes.

Bernie Sanders wants more money

for climate change and student debt.

Senate Minority Leader MitchMcConnell says the last

thing the economy needsright now is a big whopping

tax increase on all ofthe productive sectors

of the US economy.

Dale Hurd, CBN News.

- Isn't that amazing?

You know, they can sail abill through the Senate and

through the House that wouldcall for true infrastructure.

I think we all realize thatour roads have gotta be fixed,

our bridges can't fall downand we've got to do something.

And that puts peopleto work in honest jobs.

But, for example, in charging stations.

In Europe, Volkswagen isbuilding charging stations all

over Europe and they willown the charging stations.

And you look at gasoline pumps,

They aren't put in bythe federal government.

They're put in by Texaco or Exxon or Shell

or all those otherstations, those companies.

There's no reason in the worldthe United States government

and the taxpayers of America have to

build electric charging stations.

I'm all for electric vehicles,

but it can be done in the private sector.

Why in the world would wecripple our corporations to make

them unefficient in competition

against other nationsand other corporations

and put on burdensome taxhike of this magnitude?

It's just boggles the imaginationof how dumb the people are

who run our country and onewishes for something better.

In other news, so-called cancelculture has struck Georgia.

Major League Baseball is pullingout of its All Star game.

What does the presidenthave to do with it?

Efrem Graham has more.

- Pat, blowback after MajorLeague Baseball pulled

its all star game out of Atlanta

over Georgia's new election law.

Democrats charge it'srestrictive against minorities.

Supporters charge Democratsare playing politics pointing

out the law expands earlyvoting access in most counties,

expands weekend voting to two Saturdays

and potentially two Sundays,

permanently adds drop-off battling

which was a temporary measurefor the 2020 elections.

It also prohibits outsidegroups from handing out food

and water to voters within150 feet of a polling location

but allows water stations wherevoters can serve themselves.

The law also requires a valid photo ID

to request an absentee ballot.

President Joe Biden, jumping into the fray,

called the Georgia lawJim Crow on steroids.

But so badly miserablemisrepresenting part of the law,

The Washington Post fact-checker gave him

its worst rating, four Pinocchios

for falsely claiming thebill ends early voting

so working people can't vote.

On ABC's "This Week," former New Jersey

Governor Chris Christieaccused the president

of breaking his word to unite the country.

- I sat here and listened

to the president's inaugural address.

And I just want to, a coupleof real quick points from it.

Politics need not be a raging fire

that the stories everything in its path,

every disagreement doesn't haveto be a cause for total war,

and we must reject a culture

in which facts themselvesare manipulated or made up.

And Joe Biden's brokenhis own rule, 84 days.

And now he's lying to theAmerican people, George.

He's lying about this bill,he's lying to the American

people about it to cause the raging fire

he said he was going to put out.

I'm very disappointed.

- The criticism of divisivepolitics is growing

beyond Sunday morning news programs.

During this weekend's coverageof the NCAA Final Four,

sports analysts Charles Barkleyspoke out saying politics

in America is about divide and conquer.

He says, quote, "I think most white people

and black people are great people.

I really believe that in my heart."

However, he continued.

"The system is set upwhere our politicians,

whether they're Republicans or Democrats,

are designed to makeus not like each other

so they can keep theirgrasp of money and power."

Pat.

- Well, you know, folks,

I think we've gotta recognizethe greatest opportunity

for fraud is in mail-in ballots.

And what the law thatthey're now trying to propose

and jet through Congresswould make this a fraudulent

activity a permanentfixture in our election.

The Constitution gave thestate legislatures the ability

to govern the elections in their states.

This would be a national lawthat they want to put through.

And what Georgia is doing is a mere thing

that we've all got to do.

In order to get an absentee ballots,

you've got to show thema license to show that

you are the person that you'regoing to get the ballot.

There isn't anything Jim Crow about that.

And for these companieslike Coca-Cola and others

to start screaming andcanceling Major League Baseball

and that kind of thing is just outrageous.

I mean, it's simply outrageous.

People ought to read the dumb bill

and see what they're talking about.

And they don't do that.

Efrem.

- Pat, a major foreign policychallenge for President Biden.

The Pentagon is on alert asRussia steps up provocations

in Europe and other parts of the world.

Russia is building up military forces

on its border with Ukraine.

This comes as fighting betweenMoscow supported separatists

and Ukrainian forces isincreasing with about

20 Ukrainian defenderskilled so far in 2021.

Russia conducted militarydrills in the Arctic recently

and is increasing militaryflights near Alaska's airspace

and near NATO airspace as well as

its submarine activityin the Atlantic Ocean.

Analysts say this isall a test of the Biden

administration's resolveto stand up to aggression.

One foreign policy writer says

this could be Biden's firstserious test with Russia.

Turning now to the Middle East,

a major US ally facing an internal threat.

King Abdullah of Jordanput down a possible coup

against his rule.

As Chris Mitchell nowreports from Jerusalem,

the potential overthrow ofthe king represents a threat

to the entire Middle East.

- [Chris] On Sunday,Jordan's foreign minister

accused the country's formercrown prince, Prince Hamzah,

of conspiring with foreignelements in a nefarious plot.

(speaking in foreign language)

- [Translator] Investigationsmonitored interventions

and communications thatinclude communications

with foreign parties about the best time

to start steps to destabilize Jordan.

- Jordanian security forcesarrested more than a dozen

they say were involved in the plot

and placed Prince Hamzahunder house arrest.

He released a videoclaiming his innocence.

- The attempts to claimconspiracies and foreign embarking

and so on and so forth havebeen seen in this region

and in this country,unfortunately recently,

over and over and over againand they are a tool of Turin.

- [Chris] Faced with competing narratives,

the US, Israel, and manyGulf Arab states stood

behind Jordan's King Abdullah.

The State Department said,"King Abdullah is a key partner

of the United States andhe has our full support."

Israel's Defense MinisterBenny Gantz said,

"A strong, thriving Jordanis an Israeli security

and economic interest and we need

to do everything we can to assist them."

The US, Israel, andWestern powers consider

Jordan's King Abdullaha major strategic ally.

The US has provided substantial

military assistance to the king.

And about 3000 American troops are based

in the Hashemite kingdom.

If the king fell, it would be a blow

to stability in the region.

For now, the situation is stable

but some say it's a wakeup call that the monarchy

of Jordan may be at risk in the future.

Chris Mitchell, CBS News, Jerusalem.

- The US and Iran are takinginitial steps to re-engage

with indirect negotiationsas the remaining members

of the JCPOA nuclear agreementmeet in Vienna this week.

The goal is to try and getIran back into compliance

after it violated restrictionson enriching uranium

in advance of the US rejoining the deal.

This is a priority ofthe Biden administration.

In 2018, the US backed out of the deal

when President Trumpaccused Iran of cheating.

State Department spokesman Ned Price says

he doesn't expect there willbe an immediate breakthrough

as difficult decisions are still ahead.

Pat.

- We're going to be challenged by Iran.

Don't think they're not.

And the Iranians have that concept

that before al-Mahdi comes,

before the 12th imam comes, there has to be chaos.

And so there are fanatics in Iran

who are a dedicated peopleof the Islamic faith

who feel that there will be a chaos

and they do not mind a nuclear war.

And they've talked openly

about using a nuclear bomb against Israel.

So we cannot go along with anyprogram that allows them to

continue enriching uranium andbuilding up nuclear weapons.

It's just that simple.

The last deal was a giveawayto them of large amounts

of money and other thingsthat would enable them

if they didn't build a nuclear forces

of having the Quds force and the other

behind the scenesterrorist groups operating.

We should not go for that again.

It's just that simple.

But we're going headlongright down the road

that was traveled before.

And it was a folly thenand it's a folly now.

Terry.

- Coming up, fighting,drinking, womanizing,

a bareback rider wasdrowning in debauchery.

So what finally tamed this bronco?

You'll see for yourself later on.

Plus, what's the number one enemy

of your health and wellbeing?

It's not the coronavirus.

Processed foods are out to get you hooked.

So how are they engineeredto be irresistible?

You're about to find out.

(upbeat music)

(upbeat music)

- All you've got to dois go to a supermarket

or any place where the public gathers

and you will be amazedat the size of people.

We are getting fatter andfatter and fatter and fatter.

And the nation, we'vegot a crisis on our hands

of overweight becausethat leads to all kinds

of pathologies which cause death.

All kinds of them.

But have you ever wondered why it's just

so hard to eat justone chip or one cookie?

Why do so many Americans findprocessed foods irresistible?

There's a good reason.

Food companies actually engineer them

to hook you to be a addictive.

So how do they get you hooked?

Medical Reporter LorieJohnson has got the answer.

- [Lorie] Processed foodsbarely existed just 50 years ago

and now rake in $1.5 trillion each year.

So why do these products make up 90%

of what's on our grocery shelves

and comprise 3/4 of ourdaily calorie intake?

- I've been crawlingthrough the underbelly

of the processed foodindustry for 10 years now

and I continue to be shocked by the level

of their cunning deviousness, if you will,

in being able to sort of figure out

what draws us to the products to make us,

not just like them, but want more and more.

- [Lorie] In his book "Hooked,"investigative journalist

Michael Moss claims foodcompanies make their

products addictive by takingadvantage of our weaknesses.

- Biologically, these deepinstincts we have make us

incredibly vulnerable to overeating.

- [Lorie] Bodies naturally crave sugar,

fat, and salt andprocessed foods are packed

with highly condensed amounts,

much more than we use in home cooking.

- They get the brain excitedand it sends a signal saying,

"Wow, Michael, I love that.

Can I have some more of that?"

- [Lorie] And to feed that craving,

food manufacturers can addsome 56 different types

of sugar to their productscreating an expectation

that everything we consumeshould taste sweet.

- Our brain doesn't say,"Oh wait a minute, Michael,

you just ate 2,000calories in that snack bag.

Stop, wait a minute."

Your brain is kinda putto sleep and it's going,

"Okay, let's have some more great taste."

- [Lorie] Getting us hooked

on great taste is only the beginning.

The processed food industryalso spends a lot of time

and money engineeringjust the right texture.

If a food feels good in ourmouths, we'll want more.

They make feeding that desire easy too

because of the low cost.

- But it's also something that sends

that signal to the brain,"Wow, I love the cheapness

of this food, I want more of it.

- [Lorie] Food manufacturers understand

we get excited by anything new.

So they constantly add toan already wide variety

knowing it's nearly impossibleto resist all the choices.

- It's called the smorgasbord effect

and its why you can eat at a smorgasbord,

fill up until you're stuffed, but then look down the table

and see something new and go,"Okay, I can fit that in."

- [Lorie] There's also thatdevious aspect Moss mentioned.

These food giants takeadvantage of our desire

to feel like we're making healthy choices.

So believe it or not,

they also make some of ourmost popular diet foods.

- But really when youlooked at the ingredients

and the nutrition weren'tall that different

from their full-calorie foods.

- [Lorie] Plasteringbuzz words like protein

and fiber on packages can also mislead.

- And so they're addingprotein to sugary cereal

that's still probablynot so healthy for you.

They're putting in lotsof fiber in products

and touting that on the front of the label

even though a lot of thatfiber really doesn't work

to fill you up like fiber should.

- [Lorie] And finally, food companies exploit

our desire to make eating easy.

- Convenience is another oneof those big driving forces.

- So now that we understandthe processed food

industry's tactics, howdo we defend ourselves?

You can start by cookingat home from scratch.

But don't worry, it doesn'thave to be complicated

or time-consuming.

For example, it only takesfive minutes to cook this fish

on the stove whilemicrowaving this sweet potato.

Eat foods that closelyresemble their natural form,

also known as whole foods, paying particular attention

to ones in the produce department.

- Lorie is with us right now.

And Lorie, you mentionedone of the reasons

people love processed foodis because it's cheap.

Is eating healthy, is that expensive?

- You know, Pat, that isa very dangerous myth.

It has been proven to be false.

And the reason it's sodangerous is because

people who are on a fixed income or people

who are low income assume that eating

healthy would be more expensiveso they don't even try.

But studies have shown that

if you stop buying processed foods

and start buying the whole foods,

that it is no more expensive

and sometimes even less expensive.

And Pat, also considerthe expense down the road

if you have a diet oflargely processed foods.

How much money you're going to spend

on medical bills andalso prescription drugs

and over the counter drugs as a result.

- Lorie, do medical professionals actually

consider processed food a realaddiction just like drugs?

- I've actually interviewedsome medical doctors

who say yes, sugar addiction,

processed food addiction is a real thing.

We know that the medicalcommunity defines an addiction

as a practice, a behavior, or a substance

that you would like tostop, but cannot control.

And so certainly food addictionfalls under that category.

And I've actuallyinterviewed a medical doctor

and also another medical profession

who treat people for sugar addiction.

This was before the coronavirus

and I presented it on "The 700 Club."

And for folks who would liketo see those interviews,

they can go to our website.they're on our CBN News website.

- Lorie, I've beentalking, the corn people,

they've got a heavy lobby and they wanted

to make sure that what is called

high fructose corn syrup wasincluded in almost everything.

I thought that that itselfwas something different

from just plain old sugar.

Have you gotten any take on that?

- Absolutely.

And high fructose corn syrup is just one

of the many ingredients that are,

it's a sugar-type productthat has been manufactured

in the lab and can be sortof supercharged, if you will.

And many health professionalssay high fructose

corn syrup is more addictive than sugar.

It's certainly a lot cheaperand it's a wonderful ingredient

from the processed foodmanufacturers' point of view.

Another red flag is maltodextrin.

A lot of people say, "Well, wait, I'm not addicted to sugar.

I like the crunchy foods."

That's because these crunchy

foods have an ingredientcalled maltodextrin.

And it's a supercharged starchthat doesn't taste sweet

but your body receivesit as a very high sweet

and so your body respondsto it as if it were sugar.

So watch out for maltodextrin.

We've talked before about MSG.

The one thing that you need to watch

out for is when you're grocery shopping,

if you see lots ofingredients, that's a red flag.

So try to buy things at the grocery store

that have three ingredients or less.

- Okay, well, folks, we'regonna talk among other things,

I have talked to Loriebefore the show started,

we've got to do something again on sugar,

how much sugar there is.

Because, sugar, it justtakes your strength away.

It's unbelievable.

Now Michael Moss's bookis called "Hooked."

"Hooked," and it's availablewherever books are sold.

Food, free will,

and how the food giantsexploit our addictions.

And salt, sugar, and fat.

This book's available, "Hooked."

And Lorie, we'll lookforward to having you back.

We're gonna analyze sugar.

How much sugar is in a Coke?

How much sugar is inthe various food we eat?

I think we need to know it

because we want to keep you folks healthy.

(Pat chuckles)

All right, Terry.

- Well, still ahead, nausea, head spinning,

eyes watering, excruciating migraine pain.

That's what thisprofessor has suffered for

as long as she could remember.

Medicine never worked.

So how did she find a curewithout leaving her home?

She's gonna tell you herself, that's later on today's show.

But first, a wild ride.

This bareback rider overcamea troubled childhood

to become a champion.

So why was he so miserable?

That's the question coming up.

(upbeat music)

(upbeat music)

- Well, the horse bucks,he jumps in the air,

jerks to the opposite direction.

Bareback rodeo is a wild ride.

And Anthony Thomas isone of the top champions.

So at the peak of hiscareer, why was Anthony

at the lowest of lows andhow did a supernatural

second date totally transform him?

Just watch.

- [Narrator] Anthony Thomashas lived life much like

how he rides a horse.

Some by saddle, some by bareback.

- I was a troubled kidthat ran away from home

that had a dream to be a cowboy.

God definitely placed horsesin my life and in my heart.

I was able to connect witha horse as a young kid.

I've chased wild horsesall over the world.

They're definitely a soulful creature

that comes from God and it saved my life.

- [Narrator] The rodeo cowboy

and professional barebackcompetitor left home

in Australia at 12 years old,

surviving a difficult family life.

- I had a pretty traumatic childhood.

My parents had me doped up pretty bad

on several different types of drugs.

I knew that I was troubled and confused

and I would've endedup in organized crime,

or in jail, or dead if I hadstayed there in that situation.

Probably better off for me to stay away

and being with the horses, the cows and the sheep,

I knew that's what gaveme a sense of belonging.

- [Narrator] Thatbelonging came at a ranch,

a cattle station near theboarding school where he was sent.

Young Anthony found stability,

identifying with the unbroken horses.

- I think the immediate connection

that I had with those wild horses

that God placed me in front of, like me,

they were confused and they had used their

defense mechanisms to protect themselves

and I could definitelyrelate to them in every way

just because of the similaritiesin the way that we thought

and the circumstancesthat were brought to us.

- [Narrator] Working longhours, seven days a week,

Anthony learned theart of breaking horses.

- Establishing full trustbetween man versus beast.

The horse has got to be in the mindset

that he trusts you enoughto want to do that for you.

You can make these bigcreatures do things,

but they're only gonna give you

probably 70% of what they can do.

And when you can gain that full trust

and have a full sense ofunderstanding with the horse,

then you'll get close to 100%out of your horse every time.

- [Narrator] The connection to horses

provided Anthony opportunities on them.

His learned instincts and neglected

upbringing prepared himas a bareback rider.

- They say barebackriding is taking control

of a completely uncontrollable situation.

You know, the horsebucks, jumps in the air,

is wild, changes directions,

and we just have to react and respond.

And I think God preparedme to be a professional

bareback rider just becauseI need to trust the Lord

and the Holy Spirit's plan100%, surrendering to the Lord,

that it's not up to me what happens.

- [Narrator] As a teen,Anthony looked forward

to the occasional weekend rodeosin the Australian outback.

- All the crews and all ofthe keen young cattle hands,

we call 'em ringers, would enter the rodeos

and use their skills that they would use

at their job every day, like riding bucking horses

and catching bulls andshowcase their talents.

And I would go to those local rodeos.

I ended up doing reallywell in all the events

that I entered and I caught the rodeo bug.

- [Narrator] In 2011,

Anthony won the Australian Bareback Title.

The following year hemoved to Canada aiming

for a North American title.

- The horses are so much bigger

and stronger and more athletic.

The bucking horses in Canada

and in the US are second to none.

You know, the bright lights

and the big stadiums, and the huge crowds.

Everything was just so much different

and obviously it pushed you to be far more

of a professional athlete.

- [Narrator] Injuriesand surgeries mounted.

So did distractions that camewith the touring territory.

- You're in a differentcity, in a different town

and there's always a bar,there's always womanizing

and partying and making bad decisions.

And for probably a good10 years of my life,

I was as guilty as any man on earth,

fighting and drinking andjust all of the debauchery

that comes with being in aparty scene all the time.

I remember being down in thedumps, at the lowest of lows.

- [Narrator] In 2018,Anthony worked his way up,

among the world's best 15 bareback riders.

But his life felt meaningless.

On a second date, at therequest of his now wife Amanda,

they visited a church serviceat Hope City in Houston.

- The presence of the Holy Spirit

just almost knocked me off my feet.

I started crying, didn'tknow where it come from.

And God was just speaking to me

and it was a undeniablesense of conviction,

hope, and renewal, atransformation of my life

to become an actual kingdomman, realizing how much

of a relationship that I have with Jesus,

that I can talk to Him as a friend,

that He's always gonna be there for me,

He's always gonna provide for me.

- [Narrator] While thepandemic shut down rodeos,

Anthony opened a Farm toTable natural beef business.

The past year also broughthim a new perspective

with empathetic strength.

- 2020 really opened myeyes to underlying racism.

I think that empathy is so important.

The Western industry is apredominantly while culture.

It's not judgmental to anybody,it's just the way it is.

Even though I am a different color

to everybody else in thebareback riding sport,

you would hope that the judges

in the sport have everybodyin their best interest.

But, it's not something that

I can allow myself to think about.

And I do believe that God'sput me in rodeo showing

that people of all differentcolors can get along

and be brothers and sisters and be family.

- [Narrator] The Rodeo Bareback Cowboy,

ranched in Humble, Texas,

embraces his storiedjourney with humility.

- Be loyal to Him andshow Him all the glory

for everything He's done for me.

God has placed me in every situation.

And I can't even explainhow that happened.

God is true and God isreal and He's a real Savior

and He saved my life

and He's provided forme in every situation.

Every one of us has aplatform right where they are

and teach them about the love of Jesus.

No matter what, that there'sa God that's always there

for you, that has more for youthan you could ever imagine.

- What a great testimony.

Folks, we've got somethingcalled "Free Indeed."

It's called "God's Power in Your Life."

And you can download afree copy, go to CBN.com

and you can learn about Anthony

and the other stuff that's there.

"Free Indeed," CBN.com or youget a copy at 1-800-700-7000.

Okay, Terry.

- Well, coming up later,

informative, entertaining,and always unpredictable.

I'm talking about your questionsand Pat's honest answers.

Annie says, "I'm a single woman

and I have been havingstrong sexual feelings

for a married man.

Will God forgive me ifI ask Him earnestly?

Is it also a sin that Ihave enjoyed it so much?"

Wow, what will Pat say to that one?

Stay tuned, we'll be back.

- No job, no income, no money.

That's what a Jewish family faced

when Israel went into lockdown.

Even worse, they were recent immigrants

with no friends orrelatives to fall back on.

So how did they survive?

Well, take a look.

- [Narrator] Snejana's familyimmigrated from Ukraine

to Israel to find a better life.

Her husband Sergei worksin a factory in Israel.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit,

the factory closed leavingthem with no income.

- [Translator] We were justmaking enough to get by before

but then Israel went into lockdown

and the factories and the schools closed.

I couldn't work because I needed

to stay home with the children.

It put us in a very desperate situation.

- [Narrator] Even afterIsrael eased the lockdown,

the schools remained closed

and Sergei's work hoursat the factory were cut.

They didn't know how they'd be able

to afford rent or put food on the table.

- [Translator] In thebeginning, I was very scared

that my children would catch the virus.

And then we didn't haveany money to buy food.

Mentally, it was so hardand I became very depressed.

- [Narrator] Then a local church put them

in touch with CBN Israel.

We're making sure the familyhas the food they need

and we're giving them gift cards

to help them buy other essentials.

- [Translator] This is thefirst time in our lives

we've gotten help like this.

There wouldn't be anyfood in our apartment

if it wasn't for what you've given us.

We are so grateful.

- [Narrator] Thanks to CBNIsrael donors, Snejana's family

and others across the countryare getting the support

they need during this crisis.

- [Translator] It means so much

to know we're not alone in this.

You've brought back realhope and joy into our home.

Thank you so much fromthe bottom of my heart.

- Hard to imagine what thatwould be like, isn't it?

To move to a new country

then have your husband lose his job,

there's no opportunity for other income

and you're all alone.

This is an opportunity for you and I,

friends, to step right intothe middle of this need

and to share the love of God with people

who've maybe neverexperienced that before.

It's what 700 Clubmembers do and you do it

every single day of theweek all around the world.

For those of you who haven'tjoined the 700 Club yet,

what a great day to do it.

It's Monday, start the week off right.

It's 65 cents a day, $20 amonth to be a 700 Club member.

Even the number to call istoll free, couldn't be simpler.

1-800-700-7000.

You just call and say, "Iwant to join the 700 Club,"

and immediately you canhave the satisfaction

of knowing you're making a difference.

In addition to that, ourthank you for joining us

to send you Pat's latestbook, it's wonderful,

"I Have Walked With the Living God."

Here's Bernice, she livesin Gallup, New Mexico.

She's read the book.

She said, "Pat, what abrilliant wise person you are.

Thank you for 'I HaveWalked With the Living God.'

It's educational, refreshing,and very encouraging.

A beautiful qualitypublication overflowing

with rich spiritual background teaching.

Thank you for all you do for the world."

You know, this is filledwith not just a timeline

of Pat's life, but how Godhas met him at every turn

in the road and been so faithfuland accomplished so much.

And we want you to beencouraged in your walk

so call now, join the 700 Club

and we'll get that bookout to you right away.

- Let's do it, let's do it, okay.

- Time for some emails, are you ready?

Okay, this is Beth who says, "Hi, Pat.

After Jesus was crucified, the Bible doesn't say anything

about Jesus going down to hell

for those three days until He rose again.

I want to know if He did or didn't.

I've heard He did andI've heard He didn't.

I'm so confused."

- Well, if you read, I believe it's Peter,

he does say exactly that,

that He went to preach to those

who were captive duringthat period of time.

So the Bible does, if youjust read a little bit further

or get a concordance, okay?

- This is Annie who says, "Hi, Pat.

I'm a single woman andI've been having strong

sexual feelings for a married man.

I know that this is wrong, but like Jimmy Carter,

I have lusted in my heart.

Well, God, forgive meif I ask him earnestly?

Is it also a sin thatI've enjoyed it so much?"

(Pat chuckles)

- If sex wasn't pleasant,

we wouldn't be reproducing the race.

God has made this typeof intimacy very pleasant

just like He's made drinkingand eating pleasant.

So that's not a sin.

But you have feelings for a married man

and you just need to divertthose feelings some other way.

You cannot do it.

And if you're enjoying it,

it means as you're turningit over in your head.

I think it was Luther said it's not a sin

to have the birds fly over your head.

It's when you let them nestin your hair that it's wrong.

And you're obviouslycontemplating thinking

about it and enjoying a relationship

that should not be there.

See if you can't find somebody else.

There must be some otherman out of all the billions

of people here that you can find a seat

besides this one married man.

- This is Jerhomie who says, "Hi, Pat.

My wife and I are Christians, but heading

toward separation or continuinga miserable life together.

We have an amazing three-year-old boy.

We are ministers, butthere's no love between us.

I've prayed, soughtcounseling, read books,

but nothing has helped.

We've been married for six years.

I don't know what to do.

Can you give insight or counsel?"

- I think what you need to do is begin

to focus on all theattributes of your spouse.

What is it?

I mean, is he a hard worker?

Does he look after the children?

Is he faithful to you?

Does he come home drunk, et cetera,

et cetera, and all those things.

And I think if you think of your wife,

she's a good cook shelooks after the house,

she does this, that, and the other.

And I really believe thatthat's the way love will go

when you begin to focuson the good things.

What you're focusing nowis on the bad things.

And the more you focus on the bad things,

she doesn't pick up her clothes,

and she doesn't keep the house clean,

and I just can't stand it any longer.

Well, if you keep that mindset, of course,

you're going to have problems.

So try the other way and see

if it might not do you some good.

- This is Morris, Pat, who says,

"The Bible does notmention the United States

in the Last Days.

Considering what's going on in our country

with the government and social issues,

do you think this is thebeginning of the fall

of the United States andprophecy being fulfilled?"

- Well, you know, there's something

and when you look at Ezekiel38, there's the young lions

of Tarshish or are looking and saying

what is going on when Gogand Magog is invading Israel.

And I think it can be said

that we are the young lions of Tarshish.

Tarshish was a place beyond Gibraltar.

And there were people whosaid we're from Tarshish

and they found something outin Iowa that had an inscription

in Ugom that said ministersfrom Tarshish came here.

So that may be it.

Also, you look at thething, it's in Revelation,

it says, "Mystery,Babylon, Mother of Harlots,

you've made the world drunk

with the wine of your fornication."

And I really believethat the United States

that used to be a beacon ofhope has been exporting filth,

exporting all this, the sexualculture, the idea of LGBTQ.

We're imposing that on the whole world.

And the pornography thatcomes out of Hollywood,

the stuff that comesout of our porn shops,

we're sending to the wholeworld, our television.

And Mystery, Babylon, Mother of Harlots,

is that the United States?

It may be.

- This is Kara who says,

"How do you help a person who is dying?"

- Well, the way you helpis to tell them about God,

to tell them about heaven.

When my brother was on the way,

I used to pray for him to be healed.

And he had prostate cancer

and it spread to hislungs and into his brain.

And I had been praying for healing.

And I finally said, "Look,Tad, I just wanted to tell you

about heaven is like, and heaven is wonderful."

And I explained to him heaven.

And then I asked him if he would pray

with me and he prayed to accept the Lord.

So I think when somebody's dying,

you've got the point them toheaven, what's heaven's like.

And tell him about Jesus dying.

And if you come to Him,

He'll give you a place in heaven forever.

That's how you deal with them.

- This is Robert who says,"Many church denominations

believe one must be immersedin water to be saved.

Both my wife and I have been sprinkled.

What does the Bible say about this matter?

I'm 86 and my wife is 84

and we don't know howmuch longer we'll live."

- The Bible says absolutely nothing,

absolutely nothing about being baptized

as a way to be saved.

After you were saved, itis an act of obedience.

But the idea that you'vegot to be immersed

in water in order to be saved,

the apostle Paul said, Ididn't go baptizing anybody

except the two or threethere, I don't remember.

But he said I was sentto preach the gospel.

Because the gospel ishow people find the Lord.

And so, if you would be more comfortable,

I mean there's nothing thatsays that a 84-year-old

or 90-year-old or whatevercan't get baptized by immersion.

If it will make you happy,

there are plenty of people that do it

and there are plenty of Baptist churches

around that you could get baptized in

but I don't think that's the answer.

- Okay, well, that'sall we have for today.

But thank you all for your questions

and you for your answers, Pat.

Up next, on a scale fromone to 10, pain at an 11.

That's how this woman describedher crippling migraines.

What cured her excruciatingheadaches for good?

She'll tell you herself after this.

Plus, we're going to be praying for you

and your needs when we come back.

- Just stepping into the sunlight,

that could trigger a full blown migraine

for Lilia Santiague.

Her eyes watered, her head spun,

she even had to wear sunglasses indoors.

This went on for years.

But not anymore.

So what happened on theday that Lilia calls

simply the amazing day of my life?

Take a look.

- [Narrator] Dr. LiliaSantiague pursued her passion

for a career in higher education,

in spite a lifelong strugglewith migraine headaches.

- I am a professor, andI teach and both serve

as a faculty supervisorand student supervisor.

I love what I do.

An opportunity to helpstudents to get their doctorate

and to be able to goout into their community

and help others, it'sthe perfect way to serve.

But I know that for aslong as I could remember,

I've suffered with migraines.

I could remember as far backas going every six months

to get an MRI or every year to get one.

In the last eight years, maybe I've had six of them.

The migraines would beso incredibly painful

that when the doctor askedme between zero to 10,

what is your pain level?

I would say 11.

I'd go through yearsof take out chocolate,

take out cheese, avoid stress,

avoid noise or anything of that nature.

But there was never a conclusive,

here's the reason you'regetting the migraines.

I've taken a lot of differentkinds of medication,

none of it has worked.

So currently, I work from home,

but before, I would go into the office.

And if I started feeling nauseous,

then I knew I was getting a migraine.

So then it would becomehard to see the screen.

It would become hard to see the lights,

and I would put on my sunglasses.

I would feel nauseous.

My head would spin, my eyes would water.

Simply, you can't doanything with the pain.

While I wanted it to goaway, it wasn't something

that I specificallyprayed all the time for.

- [Narrator] On theevening of May 29th, 2018,

Lilia was at home nursingthe familiar headache pain

that always led to a full-blown migraine.

- I was at home with my god-sister

and "The 700 Club" was on.

And she was in front ofthe television watching

and she heard Pat say-

- There's another migraine, the Lord has just touched you.

It's like His hand is on yourforehead right at this moment.

- And she says, "Come over,I think this is for you."

- Just touch your head, inthe name of Jesus, touch.

- And I started to touch my head

and stretch my hand out to the screen.

- That migraine is gonein the name of Jesus.

- And here I was healed at that moment.

You want to dance, you want to laugh,

you want to run around the house.

But it's like I was in such,"Oh my gosh, it's happened.

I don't feel what I was feeling before.

It's amazing."

I think we raised our hands.

We were praising God.

We were saying hallelujah and amen.

It was amazing.

Two years have passedsince "The 700 Club,"

that instant and I feel great.

I don't have any migraines.

I could stay in front ofthe computer all day long

and not have any problem with that.

I can do more.

I can now go outside.

I'm not worried that steppingoutside, the sun is shining,

I may get a migraine,so I'm not going out.

I'm not worried about that anymore.

God is amazing.

I mean, Jesus is everywhere, right?

So to happen through a television screen,

I can tell you honestly thatit took me to another level.

It was simply the mostamazing day of my life.

- Can you imagine after years

and years of debilitating migraines?

And so we want to pray for you right now.

Got some amazing reports, Pat.

This is Mary, she livesin Cheshire, Oregon,

was left with one leg shorter

than the other after hip surgery.

While watching this program,

she heard you, Pat, say,"Someone, you have a hip,

the hip isn't quite sittingthe way it's supposed to.

You think you have a shorter leg.

Right now, your leg is growing

and your hip will be healedalmost from this moment.

You are healed."

When Mary looked down, hertwo legs were the same length.

She looked in the mirror and marveled

that both her hips andher shoulders were even.

- You know, I didn't know Mary

and I didn't know any of thosethings, but God know her.

Cindy has written inthe late stages of COPD,

she was watching this program.

Terry said, "There are many of you

who have issues with breathing.

It's not COVID.

Your fearful of getting itbecause of your breathing."

And she said, "Breath ofheaven, blow into those lungs

right now and heal and Jesus' name."

And Cindy said, "In thatinstance, I knew this was for me.

I claimed it a thanked God for the moment.

And I went to my doctor.

She was very surprised at my rate

of progress and neverseen anything like it."

That's God.

Now we want to pray for you right now.

Nothing's impossible.

Father, thank You so for thewonder of what You're doing.

Thank You for these miracles.

Somebody, you've got a humped back.

Your back may have been broken, but it's all humped over.

And whatever the problem, right now,

in the name of Jesus, I wantyou to raise your hands,

and as you do it, you're gonna praise God

and your back is going tobe completely straight,

in Jesus' name, touch her.

Terry.

- And Lord, I pray for, Ifeel like there's someone

with a jaw that is justclicking all the time.

So painful, it's makes eatingdifficult, but even talking.

Right now, Jesus is healing that for you.

It's all coming back into alignment.

The click is gone, the painis gone in Jesus' name.

- There's a woman namedNorma, you're pregnant,

you've got morning sickness

and you're so nauseated right now.

Norma, in the name of Jesus, your pregnancy is going

to be fine, you're going to give birth

to a healthy child, and right now,

you are healed in Jesus' name, touch her.

Thank You, Lord.

Well, that's all the time we've got.

Thanks so much for giving usthis little time in your home.

We thank you so much for this.

Today's Power Minute is from Psalm 107.

"He sent His Word and healed them;

He rescued them from the grave."

Tomorrow, we've got a highpriestess in witchcraft.

You want to see that.

For Terry and all of us,see you tomorrow, bye-bye.
