- Welcome to

the Superbook Show

Yeah.

(clapping sound)

A lot has changed since the pandemic began

but one thing that hasn't changed

is God's wonderfulprovision for our needs.

On one of those provisions

(stomach rumbling)

is food.

With Thanksgiving right around the corner

we are so thankful for all the great food

that we're about to eat.

Here's some Superbook Show hosts

on the Thanksgiving dishes

That they can't wait tosink their teeth into.

(upbeat music)

- Hey Superbook Show Morgan here.

One of my favorite Thanksgiving things

has to be green bean casserole.

One because green beansare my favorite vegetable.

And two, I love thoselittle crispy onion things

at the top of them.

So good.

- Hey guys, Miriam here and my

favorite Thanksgivingdish would definitely

be my mom's candy yamsbecause she adds a layer

of like miniature marshmallows on the top.

And then she throws the yams

back in the oven so that themarshmallows get toasted.

It's like having roasted marshmallows

on a campfire and it tastes super yummy.

It's very sticky, butit's tastes delicious.

That's why it's my favorite.

- Hi, I'm Molly Jean

and my favorite Thanksgiving dish

is my sister's homemade Mac and cheese.

it's my favorite because I lovethe creaminess of the cheese

on the inside and the crunchiness on top.

- I love Thanksgiving,because my favorite food

is pumpkin pie

and I've never had aThanksgiving without it.

So you can count

that I'm going to have somepumpkin pie on Thanksgiving day.

- My favorite Thanksgiving dish

is the less, a specific dish

and more about the seasoningsthat we use on Thanksgiving.

So I'm Puerto Rican.

So we use a Sazon and Adobospecific Puerto Rican bases.

And we also specifically use

like the seasoning thatmy grandfather makes.

Like custom, like he grows in his backyard

like puts all the stuff togetherwith like salt and oregano.

And so we put that oneverything, and it's so good.

So it's kind of like having Thanksgiving

in Puerto Rico

in America.

It's basically a turducken.

- My favorite Thanksgiving dish is

mashed potatoes.

They played a big part in my childhood

and they make me feel very nostalgic.

When I was little, if mashedpotatoes came with any meal

we were sure to be in for a treat.

- Well, hello everybody.

My favorite Thanksgivingdish is the Turkey stuffing

because that was the staple in our family.

We made it from scratch,we had a family recipe

and it was what broughtus together that day.

All of us in the kitchen cooking together.

- My favorite Thanksgivingfood is a honey glazed ham.

Two reasons.

One, is Virginia's state food, as well as

we only have it once ayear during Thanksgiving.

So it's worth waiting year around for it.

- Although they call it Turkey day

my favorite Thanksgiving dish is actually

the green bean casserole.

I like to eat healthy sometimes.

And with all that meat

and all that stuffing

all on one plate

I have no room to actuallyeat anything healthy.

And that's where the greenbean casserole comes in.

It's not only healthierthan both of those things

but actually if made right

it tastes so good.

I'm just, my mouth is watering, even thinking about it.

And if you haven't triedit this Thanksgiving

now you know what to try.

- Hi everyone, it's Sophia here.

You know, what one of myfavorite Thanksgiving foods

I look forward to every year

after a big Thanksgivingfeast with my family?

It's one pumpkin pieand vanilla ice cream.

Whether it's store boughtor made by my cousins

it's such a classic, and Ilook forward to it every year.

And I hope you have a great Thanksgiving

with your family this year eating whatever

Thanksgiving foods you like, bye.

- Hey everyone, happy Thanksgiving.

This is Alex from the Superbook Show.

And I wanted to tell you free of charge

about my grandmother's

famous sweet potato casserole.

See the thing I love mostabout this is usually

when people make a sweet potato casserole

they make it way too sweet.

But with this, it's the perfect blend

of sweetness andsavoriness all in one dish.

- Hey everybody.

So one of my favoriteThanksgiving dishes is

I think it's called brush and potato salad

but, basically my mom chopsup a bunch of potatoes

and cooks them with a littlefrozen peas and carrots

and then she lets them chillputs like a whole bunch

of Mayo in there, mixes itall up and then puts them

in the fridge for likethree to four hours.

Not a lot of people like itfor some reason, but I love it.

And I look forward to itevery year and I'm super

super excited to eat it this Thanksgiving.

- Hey, the thing I'mmost looking forward to

for this Thanksgiving isthe Brown sugar sweet ham.

Now let me tell you a story.

There's always two differentneeds at my Thanksgiving.

There's the Turkey

and then there's the Brown sugar ham.

For the Turkey, nobody ever eats it

it's only just there

for the traditionality you know.

It's just there for the looks.

The ham though.

Everybody loves the ham

because it's so sweet

and it's so tasty and itjust, every single bite

of that ham makes youfull, it makes you happy.

I just love the ham so much better

and that's what I'm looking forward to it.

- Hey guys, Emma here.

My favorite Thanksgivingdish is actually chicken.

In my house we don't actually eat turkey

because my brother is allergic.

So we eat chicken, so I decided

to give you guys my bestchicken impersonation.

(chicken clucking sound)

Upbeat music
