CAN YOU EXPLAIN WHAT LUKEWARM MEANS AS IT RELATES TO THE BIBLE? I'VE HAD BLASPHEMOUS THOUGHTS AND SAID SOME PRETTY HORRIBLE THINGS TO GOD. HAVE I COMMITTED THE UNPARDONABLE SIN? Read Transcript

- Let's start with some email.

We've got Makayla.

She says, "I've had blasphemous thoughts

and said some prettyhorrible things to God.

Have I committed the unpardonable sin?

Please help.

I don't want to go to hell."

- I don't think you have.

That's something that the Devil often uses

to tell you you've committedthe unpardonable sin.

That's what he said to me.

I had just come to the Lord,

and I was just rejoicing in God,

and I was asleep on one Sunday afternoon,

and this thought's come to me:

"You have blasphemed the Holy Spirit

and you're going to hell."

- Wow.

And you were a brand new Christian.

- Brand new Christian.

You know what I said?

I said, "All right.

If I'm going to hell,

I'll go to hell praising God

because I still believeJesus is the son of God."

Then left.

- You left.

- The unpardonable sin,

like it or not,

is rejecting the Lord forever.

That is the thing thatcan not be forgiven.

Okay?

- All right.

Lupi says, "Pat, can you explain

what lukewarm means asit relates to the Bible?

How do you know if you're praying enough,

and if your relationshipwith God is lukewarm or not?"

Good question.

- Well, in Revelation it says

you either be hot or cold,

and I will spew you out of your mouth.

If you drink lukewarm water, you'll vomit.

It makes you throw up.

So Jesus said, it makesme sick to my stomach.

But what's lukewarm?

Lukewarm is you're notreally on fire for God.

You're not really cold.

You're just kind of pussying along.

That's what so manyso-called Christians do.

They go to church on Sundayand the rest of the time,

they just live their lives.

If you're going to beon fire for the Lord,

it's daily.

You need to pray every day.

You need to read the Bible every day.

You need to live in the Lord.

He said, you'll hear a voice, and you'll hear us saying

this is the way we walk you in it.

If you walk with the Lord, miracles start to happen.

- And when bad things happen,

like that story we say earlier,

you hear from God andhe helps you through it.

- Amen.

- Shirley says, "I amloving you're new book, Pat!

Question: You wrote inyour book that God told you

that you made 'mistakes'in New York and Boston.

I'm confused.

Doesn't the Bible say in Romans

that 'God works allthings together for good'?

Including 'mistakes'?"

- Well, yes.

He does.

He teaches you mistakes

and you come to the Lord and say,

"Lord, I made them.

I've screwed up my life and I'm sorry."

You'll learn from that, too.

But if you walk with God,

you're not going to be mistake-free.

You won't.

We learn.

I have learned more reading about the sins

of guys like David andothers in the Bible.

You have more instruction

than hearing the guy was a perfect person

and he lived a sinless life.

I mean, yes, you make mistakes.

I made mistakes.

The Lord said you don'tmake mistakes in Israel.

I'm going to go into Israel.

This is the land of the Bible.

If you do something hereyou may change prophecy,

so you don't make mistakes here.

Period.

Okay?

- Wow.

That's a lot of pressure.

Richie says, "Pat, I'm an alcoholic,

and I've quit twice before.

I don't know how to quit now.

Please help me."

- The thing about alcoholism,

it is a type of disease.

Alcoholics Anonymous has found

that if they can pair up somebody

who's an alcoholic with somebody

who's had a similar experience,

that they can work together through this.

People say, "Well, go cold turkey"

and you start having DTs and so forth.

Get somebody else.

Go to AA and let them seeif they can't help you.

But, they can.

The Lord will forgive you.

Just let him...

The people who've worked with that,

it's a great program for somebodywho's a sincere alcoholic.

The Lord will forgive you.

You'll get over it when you get somebody

who's walked the day to day,

who is accountable for you,

and who will give you,

when you have a bad day,

you call and this guy's onthe phone talking to you.

- Don't go it alone.

Monica says, "Is it wrongor a sin to eat pork?

I used to go to a churchthat would tell us

that God states in the Old Testament

that there are certainmeats as well as fish

that we are not to eat.

How true is this?"

- In the Old Testament,

you weren't supposed to eat the stuff

that didn't chew the cudand have a split hoof,

and all that kid of stuff.

Let's face it,

how many of you have had bacon

with your eggs for breakfast?

There's nothing wrong with eating pork.

Peter had a vision.

You remember?

A sheet, and he said "I'venever eaten stuff like that."

And God said, "Don't callwhat I've made unclean,

because I'm making everything clean."

(uplifting music)

You are free from the dietarylaws of the Old Testament.

But pork isn't necessarily good for you.

They have trichinosis ifthey don't cook it right.

There was some real wisdom insome of those dietary laws.
