- [Announcer] Coming up...

We turn the show over to you.

Get ready for an extended edition

of Your Questions, Honest Answers,

featuring your voicemails.

Can the government forceus to take a vaccine?

Will we go to war with China?

Do the dead go through a tunnel of light?

No topic is off limits.

Hear what Pat has to say about the issues

that matter to you.

On today's 700 Club.

(noble orchestral music)

- Welcome, folks, to the 700 Club.

Pushing back about the shutdown.

Small business owners areon the brink of bankruptcy

and they're fed up with being

labeled, quote, "non-essential".

Now that states are reopening,

why are these businessesstill being put on hold?

And will more and more of them revolt

if they're not allowed to open soon?

Caitlin Burke has that story.

- This salon should be open.

Salons and barbershops were scheduled

to get back to work herein Connecticut on May 20th,

as part of Phase One ofthe state's reopening plan.

But just two days before,

the governor decided to pump the brakes.

- A lot of here today,we did what was necessary

and what was called for us to do.

And the rug got pulledout from underneath us.

- [Caitlin] Governor NedLamont blamed his decision

on complaints from salonowners who asked for more time

to prepare for reopening.

Many others, however, werecounting on an income stream

to return a week ago.

Hair Canvas salon owner,Erin Coyle, tells CBN News

she spent time and moneyensuring her business

followed the government's guidelines.

- We separated the chairs and the stations

a little bit more.

We put plexiglass dividersbetween the sinks.

My husband built a hand sanitizing stand

because you couldn't find one anywhere.

We got hand sanitizers for every station.

We ordered in a ton ofbleach wipes and alcohol

and alcohol dispensers, and you name it:

face shields, masks, extra gloves.

- [Caitlin] Across thecountry, small business owners

have already reached a tipping point.

Many frustrated that they'rebeing treated differently

than national chains, like Target and Walmart.

Virginia Beach gym owner,Amanda Crowe, told CBN News

she too was expecting to reopen

as part of her state's Phase One plan.

Then, at the last second,Virginia Governor Ralph Northam

decided it wasn't safe.

- I guess his big argument was

people will be touching everything,

so that's why it's notsafe, and then the sweat.

But, again, I go to Walmart, open up their refrigerator,

grab milk, no one'ssanitizing that handle pull.

Touching all the bread.

I would think the gym, wecould control that environment

and it would be more sanitaryand more clean and less risk

for people to catch COVIDor any other disease,

versus going to Walmart.

- [Caitlin] Petitions toreopen are circulating

in dozens of states.

Reopen New York ralliedin the city last week,

demanding small businesses beallowed to get back to work

and pushing back againstthe label "non-essential".

- Does this virus onlyspread in small businesses?

And yes, I know.

I've heard the argument,"We are not essential".

You know what?

To my children, my smallbusiness is essential.

It is with money from mybrick and mortar store

that I put food in theirmouths and fill their bellies.

Our businesses areessential to our families

and to our communities.

I cannot imagine what NewYork will look like if,

God forbid, we don't open now.

- [Caitlin] Meanwhile in Connecticut,

salon owners are againpreparing to reopen.

The latest date set bythe governor: June 1st.

- I'm absolutely terrified.

I'm probably the mostnervous person of the virus

that I've met.

But if I'm allowed togo back, I'm goin' back.

I'm gonna wear my mask, my face shield.

My clients are gonna wear their mask.

We're gonna follow all the precautions

that we're told.

- While decisions onwhen and how to reopen

are left up to individual states,

President Trump has been critical of those

he feels are moving too slowly,

encouraging governors toallow those who want to work

to go back, and those who arestill fearful to stay home.

Caitlin Burke, CBN News.

- Well, thanks Caitlin.

You know, I mentioned yesterday

that we've crashed this great economy,

the greatest economy in the world.

Just crashed it.

And for what?

I know 100,000 deaths is tragic

but, as I said yesterday, and I'll say it again,

there are 200,000 peoplewho die every year

because they've got thewrong medicine given to them

when they're in hospitals.

200,000.

We don't crash the hospitalson account of those people.

We've crashed our entire economy

and it's time that these poor people

who are trying to runthese small businesses--

This is the backbone ofthe American economy.

And so many people owe their livelihoods

to these small restaurantsand small businesses

like these hair salons andfitness labs and so forth.

We've got to do something.

And we cannot allow thisthing to continue any longer.

It's just insanity.

You say, well we want toprotect the vulnerable.

Well, quarantine the vulnerable.

Make sure that thesepeople in nursing homes

have adequate medical attention.

Make sure that they have the very best

of all the necessary protective gear.

Make sure doctors and nurseshave the right kind of gear.

If you have to wear a mask, wear a mask.

But let's get this economy open again.

We cannot continue this.

This pain and suffering istoo much, it's not necessary,

it's unwarranted, andit is absolutely stupid.

Now there's something else I'vebeen saying on this program,

"You don't fight the Fed".

When the Fed opens thespigots, the market goes up.

And low and behold, thestock market is surging

as airlines and hotelsshow signs of improvement.

Could more Washington handouts keep people

from going back to work?

Is it a disincentive?

Well the problem is, yes it is.

John Jessup has more.

- Pat, stock market futuresare indicating another rally

today after the Dow jumpedmore than 500 points Tuesday,

briefly rising above 25,000.

The S&P 500 hit its highestpoint in nearly three months.

Some of the major gains tied directly

to reopening the economy.

Carnival Cruise Lines, MGM Resorts

and United and SouthwestAirlines all on the uptick.

The market's rally is anindication investors believe

the worst of the economic downturn is over

and better days are ahead.

Well, most Americans areready to go back to work,

but some argue thatCongressional relief money

is tempting many to stay home.

The Cares Act boostedunemployment payments

by $600 dollars a week,

giving some people a higher monthly income

than they'd make on their own.

In the latest House-passed relief bill,

Democrats want to extend those payments

through January of next year.

The Trump administrationbelieves the increase

discourages people fromgoing back to work.

On CBN's Faith Nation program,

Delaware Democratic Senator, Chris Coons,

said Senate Republicans have made it clear

they object to those Democratic proposals.

- When the Senate gets backinto session next week,

we'll be debating vigorously

about what makes the most sense.

Is is extending the small business loans?

Is it extending unemployment insurance?

Is it extending the individual checks,

the stimulus checks that went out, once,

to about 80% of Americans?

In the end, this is gonna be a subject

of vigorous negotiationsbetween the administration,

the House and the Senate.

- Senator Coons is alsoworking with South Carolina

Republican Senator LindsayGraham on legislation

to encourage nations to close wet markets

which slaughter and sell wild animals.

The coronavirus is believedto have started its spread

from a wet market in Wuhan, China.

Well, President Trumpis vowing to take action

against China over Beijing's latest move

to tighten its grip on Hong Kong.

The communist government plansto impose new security laws

severely curtailing human rightsand other personal freedoms

of residents in Hong Kong.

George Thomas explains.

- When the city was handedto the Chinese back in 1997,

the idea was that Hong Kong would be

this "one country, two systems".

And it was supposed tolast for half a century.

The agreement expires in the year 2047.

As Beijing announced days ago plans

to enforce sweeping new security laws,

similar to the draconianmeasures used on the mainland,

many here feared it would be the end

of Hong Kong as we know it.

- Beijing has essentiallyintervened directly and said,

we're not going to wait,we're going to pass this law

here in Beijing, which willapply to you, Hong Kong.

Effectively, this is saying,Hong Kong is no longer

under a "one country, two systems" approach,

it is now fully integrated into China,

despite the fact thatwe are not yet at 2047.

- [George] Many Hong Kongresidents fearful at the thought

of becoming another Chinese city,

and loosing personal freedoms.

- [Translator] I thinkit's very ridiculous.

They promised, "one country, two systems",

but the content of the security law

is basically implementing,"one country, one system".

- [George] Cheng says, for China,

the idea of "one country, two systems"

has always really meant, "onecountry over two systems".

- So, what this is going to mean is that,

freedom of the press, freedom of expression,

freedom of assembly, freedomof protest, freedom of speech,

all of these are going tobe very much in jeopardy.

It also effectivelynullifies the independence

of the Hong Kong judicial system.

- [George] China insiststhe new crackdown is needed

to prevent secessionistsand subversive activity,

as well as foreigninterference and terrorism.

Ahead of more pro-democracyprotests this week,

China's top militarycommander in Hong Kong

says his 10,000-strong army is ready

to do whatever it takes.

- [Translator] The garrisontroops have the determination,

confidence and capabilities todefend national sovereignty,

security and developmentinterests and safeguard

long-term prosperity andstability in Hong Kong.

- [George] In Washington, lawmakers on both sides

of the aisle want tosanction any Chinese official

involved in enforcing thenew laws in Hong Kong.

The bill would also penalizebanks and businesses

that help enforce the law.

The White House is warningChina against enacting the laws.

- If that happens, there will be sanctions

that will be imposedon Hong Kong and China.

It's hard to see howHong Kong could remain

the Asian financial center that its become

if China takes over.

- [George] And now, expertsworry that if China moves

to take over Hong Kong,

Taiwan could be next on Beijing's list.

- The reality is, that Chinacracking down on Hong Kong

means that Taiwan has even less reason

to believe Chinese promises ofautonomy and non-interference

should the two be unified.

- [George] George Thomas, CBN News.

- Thanks, George.

And Pat, analysts and observerssay if this law passes,

this could be the end ofHong Kong as we know it.

- Well, it would be a terrible shame,

because they've had a robust stock market.

The GEM exchange in HongKong is an opportunity

for Chinese companies to go public.

It's been a financial center

that's noted all over the world.

And men like Li Ka-shing and others

that are with Hutchison Whampoa,

very successful companies,

enormously rich people.

And this whole idea ofcrashing their economy

is just insane.

It's one more move by dictators

to do something that's foolish.

But Taiwan, of course now,is going to be on alert.

And the Chinese are always concerned

that there will be an invasionfrom Taiwan into China,

which isn't about to happen.

But the United States has gota defensive treaty with Taiwan

and we're going to sendthem planes, and supplies

to defend themselvesagainst a Chinese invasion.

And whether China is preparedto go into a naval engagement

across the water intoTaiwan, remains to be seen.

The chances are, they won't.

But the United States better be ready.

And the president, again, isgoing to be tested severely

by that particular initiative.

The Chinese are alreadyhaving very aggressive acts

in the South China Sea.

They're claiming islandsthat they're making,

that they shouldn't.

They're extending their domainover all these territories

in the South China Sea.

And they are threateningour interests there

and the United States can't back down.

It's going to be tough.

And the last thing any ofus want is a war with China.

But it looks like that'swhere it's heading.

John.

- Pat, here at home,

searing heat is pummelingparts of the southwest.

Meteorologists predicting

record-breaking temperatures today,

some in the triple digits.

Palm Springs, Californiaand Phoenix, Arizona

could top 110 degrees.

Temperatures have tendedto 20 degrees above normal

for this time of the year inCalifornia, Nevada and Arizona.

Excessive heat warnings andheat advisories are in place.

Well, on the other end of the spectrum,

Virginia's mild winter broughtan early strawberry crop,

and COVID lockdowns made it difficult

to bring in the harvest,

with some farmers having to cancel

their popular you-pick season.

While others opened up theirfields with some restrictions.

Wendy Griffith has more.

- [Wendy] It was picture-perfect weather

for strawberry picking in Pungo,

a rural area near Virginia Beach.

Bruce Henley, owner of Flip Flop Farm,

just hoped folks would take advantage

with new safety rules inplace due to the coronavirus.

- The rows in the fieldare five foot apart.

So we're putting a flagdown every other middle,

and telling people to stay down the rows

without the flags and thatputs them 10 foot apart

in the field.

- [Wendy] And when people weigh and pay,

Henley says they can rest assured.

- We're extra sanitizing, we'rewiping down all the buckets,

we're wiping off the scalein between each customer,

wearing latex gloves, doing all we can.

- Here in Virginia Beach, strawberry picking is

an annual tradition for many families.

These are known as "sweet Charlies",

because just like thename, they're super sweet.

And despite the coronavirus,

people are out enjoyingthis beautiful weather,

while still maintaining social distancing.

- We live close by andwe're always really excited

for strawberry season, andjust to be out in the open.

Everyone seems to besocial distancing well.

But to get out here with our kids too.

- [Wendy] Just down the road however,

Mike Cullipher kept his strawberryfields closed to picking.

- We're completely opposite of anything

we've ever done before.

With everything going onand with the CDC guidelines

and what the governor has mandated,

our family decided that our first priority

was keeping us and thepeople that help us,

our employees, safe.

Second priority waskeeping our customers safe.

- [Wendy] So Cullipher decidedto take a different route:

online ordering and pick-up service.

- That's the preferred way.

You go through our website, pre-pay,

we give you a time slot likethe grocery stores are doing,

and when you can comepick up your box or bag

or what have you.

- [Wendy] The decision did not come easy.

- We feel bad that we're depriving people

of the opportunity to come and pick,

and it's costing us money.

'Cause most people want to do that.

So we know we're losing business,

but you have to do whatyou're comfortable with.

And this is all I'mcomfortable with right now.

- [Wendy] Another problem forboth farmers is manual labor.

The pandemic kept manyseasonal workers home,

so Cullipher hired a local girl's

high school basketball team

to help pick the delicious berries.

- And he said that we can come out here

and pick strawberrieswhile social distancing

and getting paid.

So, I was like, yeah, count me in.

Because I work at a restaurant as well,

and I can't work right now.

- [Wendy] Meanwhileback at Flip Flop Farm,

Michelle and her daughter Nelliepicked enough strawberries

to go around.

- Today, we wanted to get out of the house

because we've been cooped up for so long

with this social distancing.

And we wanted to pick some strawberries

so we can send some joyto some of our friends.

- [Wendy] What are you personally gonna do

with your strawberries?

- We are gonna cut these up,

and make our homemade whippingcream, and make shortcake.

- [Wendy] And that is asweet ending to this story.

Wendy Griffith, CBN News, Virginia Beach.

- [Mom] Is it good?

- I call that a sweet assignment.

Pat, did Wendy bring youback any strawberries?

- Yeah, boy they're so delicious.

They really are good.

- John asked if I broughtyou back some strawberries.

You know, I did not, andI feel ashamed of myself.

- I've had some people godown there and get me a couple

'course yesterday, down at Henley Farms.

- They are.

There's nothing likefreshly-picked strawberries.

- Well, you know, we've beengetting some from California.

They look beautiful, butthey don't have much taste.

These are much more flavorful.

They're just delicious.

- [Wendy] They are.

- We had one of the best seasons, I think.

No frost, or something.

- Yeah.

It was so interesting,'cause just down the road,

you've got two farmers, twototally different stories.

And they're justfollowing their conscience

and doing what they feel comfortable with.

- My wife and my oldest son, when he was a little boy,

went down there and therewas so many strawberries,

poor old Tim, he gota rash, he turned red.

- He ate so many?

- He ate so many, they're so delicious.

Okay, let's get on with the show.

- Yes, indeed.

Well, up next, you called

and Pat's about to answeryour voicemail questions.

A special edition of YourQuestions, Honest Answers

is coming up.

(positive music)

when you call us right now and just say,

"Yes, I want to help those in need."

All right, we are moving on

to what everybody's been waiting for.

- Let's go for it.

- Our first caller isCarol from Eaton, Ohio.

Go ahead, Carol.

- [Woman On Voicemail] Isit wrong to watch magicians?

Some of the talent shows on TV have them.

And some I find entertaining, some I feel are spooky,

and I leave the room.

My husband thinks I'm nuts for that.

What's your thoughts?

And thanks.

Love your program.

- I don't what magiciansyou're talking about.

I think the stuff they do on television

is just slight of hand, there's nothing wrong with it.

It's not something evil.

Is that what you're talking about?

- Yeah, I guess, but if youfeel like it's spooky to you,

if it's causing you--

- The Bible says whateveris not of faith is sin.

And if you believe it's sin, it's sin.

To me, it's just--

They call it (indistinguishable),

you've got your hands moving

and they've got handsquicker than the eye.

That's all they're doing.

If they're trying to hypnotize people,

it's a different matter.

I wouldn't go for that, all right?

- All right, here's a question from Janet.

She's from Bonita Springs, Florida.

- [Woman On Voicemail] Ihave a bit of confusion

when the Bible is speaking of "I Am".

I always took it to be the Father.

But now I'm thinking more,is it referring to Jesus?

Because, "I Am the Way."

- I've got a book that I'm justfinished on the Holy Spirit

that goes into all of thisthat I think is very important.

But the identification of God,

when He said, "I AM that IAM", it means His name is,

in the Hebrew is aTetragrammaton, "Yahweh",

which is the hiphielof the Hebrew "to be".

And God is identified as being.

He is the One who causes everything to be.

So that's what "I AM" is.

And "I AM that I AM", it's being itself.

When you get right downto what it means it's,

it is the hiphiel of the Hebrew,

it means, "He who causeseverything to be".

That's the name of God, okay?

- All right.

Here's a question from Chuck.

He's from northern Michigan.

- [Man on Voicemail] Pat, youbeing a health aficionado,

with obvious good results,

are you concerned aboutpossible, mandatory vaccinations

for all Americans with a vaccine

that was a rushed job to develop?

Even medications in usefor years has resulted

in unintended, adverse side effects.

Gee, what could possibly go wrong?

- I totally agree with you.

I don't take flu shots.

And I don't take a lot of other shots.

- [Wendy] I don't either.

- I think they said weought to take a flu shot.

No, you shouldn't oughta.

But I think mandatory vaccination,

they want to do that withpeople on account of--

- Is that constitutional?

Can they really mandate it?

- They've overridden so manyof our personal freedoms,

that I think one more, youmight take a case to court.

But in the meantime, you'd probably lose.

But I just don't think the government

should be mandating things,

but they're so concerned withyoung children, for example.

They want to get them vaccinated early on,

because of certain cancers.

I just don't think the government ought

to be forcing people todo things like that, okay?

- All right.

Here's a question from Debra.

She's from Atlanta, Georgia.

- [Woman On Voicemail]I'm worried that I'm going

to go to hell no matter what,

because I had an abortion,

breaking the 10th commandment,"Thou shalt not kill".

How can I be saved?

- Well, you've had anabortion, how can you be saved,

is that what the question?

- Mm-hmm, she's worried.

She doesn't feel like she's--

- All manner of sin andblasphemy, the Lord will forgive.

And you've taken a life andyou feel guilty because of it.

The whole thing that we'vehad abortion on demand,

Roe versus Wade, we'vekilled about 50-60 million

young babies in America.

The slaughter has been horrible.

But, will God forgive you?

Of course He will.

You come to the Lord and say,

"God, I did a terriblething, and I'm sorry."

If you confess it and forsake it,

God will forgive you.

That's the answer.

All right.

- Amen.

All right, here's Ronald fromFort Lauderdale, Florida.

- [Man On Voicemail] Do youthink that President Trump

did the right thing bytaking hydroxychloroquine?

And do you think everything'sgonna be okay with him?

- Look, I'm not a doctorand I'm not his doctor.

He claimed his doctorsaid it was all right.

But, I think, for thePresident getting on television

and advising people againstan unproven medication

that is not specific for coronavirus,

I think it was a mistake.

And I think he's now said aloud,

"I've finished the course."

But there are people who havefound remarkable side effects

because of this hydroxychloroquine.

And I think that for thePresident to go on television

and say this is what I do, no way.

Let's face it, he's the Chief Executive,

but he's not either the chiefpastor or the chief doctor.

I think he's got to be verycareful of what he does.

I hate to be critical of anything,

but at the same time, youasked me, and that's my answer.

All right.

- I never heard that you could take it

for preventative reasons.

- Well, you can't.

The whole thing is, it usedto be, when you had malaria,

you took quinine.

And that was the dose for malaria.

Okay, that's malaria.

And so, hydroxychloroquineis a type of quinine

and it isn't specific forthis coronavirus at all.

It was not designed for that.

And it has a number ofdeleterious side effects

which shouldn't be taken.

And one guy, he learned itwas some kind of a similar

substance in the cleaningsubstance for his fish tank,

and he took it, and I think he died.

You know, you just can't takethese things without a doctor.

Trump has a doctor who let him do it,

but it just isn't somethingI would advise, all right?

- All right, here's Wendy

from Mount Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania.

- [Woman On Voicemail] Myhusband is a known pedophile.

And I chose to stay with him.

Will God judge me based on that?

And if I would decide to leave him,

how would God look at that?

- Did I hear that right?

- Her husband's a known pedophile

and she chose to stay with him.

Will God judge her for that?

- I tell you, I don't knowyour reasons for hanging around

but I really think--

The Bible says immoralityis a cause for divorce.

And it's permissible accordingto what rule Jesus laid down.

I would not only getout of that situation,

I'd report him to the police.

He's breaking the law.

That's horrible, thathe's molesting children,

and you're gonna stay with him.

Are you complicit in what he does?

- [Wendy] That's the question, right?

- Am I complicit, and the answer is yes.

You're letting him get away with this.

You know that he's going after these kids

someplace or other.

And you're letting him get away with it.

In my opinion, you ought toreport him to the police.

All right?

- Yeah, that's tough love there.

All right.

Here's a question from Kathyfrom Ann Arbor, Michigan.

- When Jesus said,

"Greater works than these shall you do",

I'm wondering what arethose greater works?

- You know, Jesus lived in asmall country, in Palestine.

He spoke to, really, asmall group of people.

And he demonstrated powerthat is just awesome.

Everybody who needed healing came to him.

He never turned anybody away.

He cast out demons.

He knew the future, Heknew all kinds of things.

But at the same time, today, with CBN,

we lead probably 100million people or more

to the Lord, every year.

That far exceeds, in termsof quantity, what Jesus did.

He said, "The worksthat I do, you will do,

"and greater works than these,

"because I'm going to the Father."

So Jesus right now is at the Father.

He's interceding for you and me

and He says, "Help them, Father.

"And I want them to dogreater works than I did."

In terms of quality,

I don't think we can touch what Jesus did.

I mean it was just extraordinary.

But in terms of breadth of outreach,

I think what we have throughout the world,

huge meetings with hundredsof thousands of people

in attendance in Africa and so forth,

I think that exceeds in quantity, okay?

- Yeah, great perspective.

Imagine if Jesus hadthe internet, you know.

He could've done a lot more.

- You see the Apostle Paul isup in heaven, just yearning.

He didn't have jet airplanes,he didn't have television,

he didn't have radio, hedidn't have shortwave.

He didn't have any of these things.

And he had to go--

He was riding donkeys or walking

or in old leaky boats.

I mean, it was incredible.

So, yes, we have manybenefits they didn't have.

- That's right.

Well, coming up...

We've got round two of ourspecial voicemail edition

of Your Questions,Honest Answers from Pat.

So don't go away, we'll be right back.

(upbeat music)

- [Announcer] Tomorrow...

Trump's Press Secretary.

- Perhaps you should look into it

and get me some answers.

- [Announcer] And she'sfighting back against fake news.

- I guess I would turn thequestion back on the media

and ask similar questions.

- [Announcer] DavidBrody's exclusive interview

with Kayleigh McEnany.

Plus...

Pastor Tony Evans.

- God just doesn't move you to a Benz.

- [Announcer] How we canbe stronger, together,

while still being apart.

Tomorrow, on the 700 Club.

(intense music)

- And welcome back to Washingtonfor this CBN Newsbreak.

Protests overnight in Minneapolis,

after the death of a blackman who was in police custody.

Thousands of demonstratorstook to the streets.

Police used tear gasto hold off the crowds.

Four officers had been fired

one day after George Floyd's death.

Video shot outside a southMinneapolis grocery store

Monday night showed an officerkneeling on Floyd's neck,

even though he was in handcuffs,

and remaining in thatposition as Floyd pleaded

that he couldn't breatheand finally stopped moving.

He was later taken to a hospital

where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the unarmed victim is suspected

of trying to pass a forged check,

that he was under theinfluence of alcohol, drugs,

and resisted officers.

- The factors that areinvolved, the bottom line:

the reasonable restrictions

or whatever you want to call it,

the force that was used wasvery unreasonable last night.

- [John] The FBI and state law enforcement

are investigating Floyd's death.

Well, two Republican Senatorsare asking President Trump

to protect Christians facingpersecution in Nigeria.

Iowa's Joni Ernst and ChuckGrassley recently sent a letter

asking the President to considerdeploying a special envoy

to help end genocide in that nation.

They point to 40,000 Nigerian deaths

tied to the terror group Boka Haram,

which along with the Islamic State

is hostile to Christians in the country.

At the White House, in2018, Mr. Trump asked

the visiting president ofNigeria to protect, quote,

"innocent civilians of all faiths".

The senators want to see more action.

- Welcome back to our special edition

of your voicemail questionsand Pat's honest answers.

And we have this question from Donna.

She's from Ebensburg, Pennsylvania.

- [Woman On Voicemail] Isit true that when we die,

that we go through the tunnel of light?

And that our loved oneswill be there to greet us?

I was told that if we do gothrough the tunnel of light,

that there could be evil people there

who look like our loved ones

and that we will have to be re-incarnated

and have to go through life again.

- I don't think thatany of that other stuff

that you're talking about is Biblical,

but this tunnel of light thing--

You know, when you're born,a baby goes through a tunnel.

And I really believe that at death,

your mind flashes backto those early days.

And I think that's what thattunnel of life stuff is.

- [Wendy] Interesting.

- I don't think it's some spiritual thing,

and I certainly don't think

that if you've got the wrong tunnel

that you're going the wrong direction.

I just think there's nothing in the Bible

that backs that up whatsoever.

But I do think that somehow, our life flashes before us

at the time when we're dying.

That, I believe, is probably where

that tunnel thing comes from.

But, there's no spiritualconsequences, that I know of

whatsoever, in the Bible.

If somebody tries to make one,

it's extra-biblical, all right?

- All right, here's a callerfrom Grand Prairie, Texas.

- [Woman On Voicemail] Howdo I keep my marriage going?

My husband had gotten into some porn,

and not wanting to be intimate with me.

It seems to be getting better.

He's says he's notinvolved in that anymore.

But I just feel that there'snot a spiritual connection.

He doesn't want to pray with me,

he doesn't want to discussanything dealing with religion.

What should I do at this time?

- The whole idea of pornis just so addictive.

These porn actresses,they're all enhanced,

their bodies are enhanced surgically.

And the stuff they do inthese pornographic things

is not something that wouldbe normal in relationship.

You say, what can you do?

This is an addiction, andit needs to be dealt with,

just like alcoholism orovereating and so forth.

It is an addiction.

And it is a hard addiction to stop.

But if I were you, Iwould do everything I can

to be as loving as possible,

and to be as demonstrative as possible,

so your husband will knowthat what he's got at home

is a whole lot better than something that he sees in porn.

And that's all I can say right now.

I would overwhelm him withyour love and affection,

and see what happens.

- Yeah, and she was sayinghe won't pray with her.

But, just like you said,

keep demonstrating the love of Jesus,

and be a great wife and keep praying.

- The intimacy of prayeris every bit as intimate

as physical intimacy.

How do you do that?

How do you get somebody delivered?

And that's what you're talking about.

There needs to be a deliverance.

But deal with that and you get it,

well, get as close as you can,

and be as loving as you can,

and maybe he'll wake up to the fact

that what is on the screen can't touch

what he's got in his own home.

All right?

- Amen, great advice.

Here's a question from Davefrom San Fernando, California.

- [Man On Voicemail] I'mcalling to ask a question

regarding dying mymustache at the age of 64.

Is that vain or is that okay to do that?

- (laughing)

I think, if you want amustache, be my guest, funny.

A few years ago, myfamily, we went someplace

up in New England,

and they left me alone for a few days.

And so I decided to grow this thing.

Then I shaved it off andthey didn't even notice

that I had it.

So apparently--

- They didn't even notice!

So he's wondering, at 64, is he--

- Nothing vain.

I was seeing a Tom Selleckmovie the other day,

before he had his mustache, and he looked so good.

He was very handsome.

And then he got a mustache.

And then they play in thisthing called "Blue Bloods"

and he's commissioner, and he looks good.

But the mustache is very distinguished.

But certain amount of facial hair--

The generals in the Civil War,

they all had beards andmustaches and so forth.

- And they've really come back in style,

in the last few years.

- Absolutely.

I see nothing--

If you want to grow a mustache,

there's some other thingsI could say about it,

but I won't do it on television.

All right.

- All right.

Enjoy your mustache.

All right, Roxanne has a question for us,

and she is from Houtzdale, Pennsylvania.

- [Woman On Voicemail] Whyis it that I don't feel

like I hear God answer me?

I pray, and I talk to God daily.

But I never feel likeI hear Him answering me

or answering my questionsor answering my prayers.

- Roxanne, why don't you be quiet.

The Bible says, "Be stilland know that I am God."

He speaks in a still, small voice.

And he speaks to the inner person.

And I would read the Bible,a particular passage,

and let it speak to you,

and then read it over and over again.

Don't just keep on reading,

but get a few verses,

and let them speak to you.

And then say, "God, Ineed to hear your voice."

And then, be quiet.

"Be still and know that I am God."

All right?

- Amen.

Here's a question from Maureen.

She's from Succasunna, New Jersey,

I think I got that right.

- [Woman On Voicemail] I just want to know

what supplement that, Pat,you're taking for your brain.

You are so sharp, so in tact, and I know that the Lord

has given you wisdom, knowledgeand increased understanding.

But I also want to knowif you're supplementing.

- [Wendy] She wants to knowwhat supplements you're taking.

She says you're so sharp,

the supplements you'retaking to have a sharp brain.

- I have so many.

The LifeExtension has awhole group of supplements

that they put out that I take.

- So LifeExtension has a multivitamin.

- Multivitamin group.

I'm trying to think some of the others.

- What else do you really love?

I know you drink green tea.

- I take Cognitex which isextremely good for your mind.

And I try to take the Knox,

which gives you some muscle strength.

- And you also work out every other day.

- I work out really hardin the gym every other day.

And so, but when I do that,I also take a little Tylenol

to make sure that my musclesdon't hurt too much (laughing).

But the LifeExtension hassome great supplements.

I also take the stuff for your gut flora,

the probiotics and prebiotics.

And I think the gut flora,to have a healthy gut,

is the most important thing in the world.

And I try not to takeany of those diet drinks

or any of the artificial sweeteners.

I use stevia, but I don'tuse any of the rest of them,

because it kills the gut flora.

So I think the most importantthing, to be healthy,

is to take thoseprobiotics and prebiotics.

I get the ones that arein the refrigerators

at the vitamin store.

- But you do it all:

you exercise, you takesupplements, and you eat well.

- I don't take any artificialsweeteners, at all.

- That's important.

- No Sweet'n Low...

- I can't do it either, makes me sick.

- It kills the gut flora, okay.

- All right, great answer.

Great question.

Here's a caller from Keokuk, Iowa.

- [Man On Voicemail] Pat, do you feel like

we will eventually go to war with China?

What are your thoughtsand feelings on that?

- You know, I hate to think

that we'd ever go to war with anybody,

but the Chinese areacting so aggressively.

They used to call themselvesthe Middle Kingdom.

and they figured the worldrevolved around them,

and they stayed prettymuch in the kingdom.

But now they're movinginto the South China Sea.

They're building islands andclaiming they're part of them.

They're showing aggression.

They're talking about a deepwater, a blue-water navy.

They're building missilesthat might well hit America.

And this Xi is an absolute monster.

He's a dictator.

I thought China was gonnabecome the largest Christian

nation on the face of the earth.

But he's suppressing Christianityin a terrible fashion.

And not only Christianity,

but those Uyghurs who are Muslims.

So I think, again, thePresident's going to be stressed

beyond measure with certain challenges,

and China, for sure, is gonna be one,

because, sooner or later, they're gonna have a nuclear war

just like the North Koreans.

And we got to confront themin the South China Sea,

and we're gonna have toconfront them with Taiwan,

and it's gonna be adifficult, difficult thing.

I hope and pray it's not necessary.

But you know, I was inKorea a long while ago,

and the Chinese came into Korea.

They were blowing trumpets and storming.

They overwhelmed our forceswhen they came into that war.

- Really.

- We were beating the North Koreans,

and then the Chinese came in.

And they had a lot of people,

and they don't mind sacrificinga few hundred million,

if need be, and they havewell over a billion people.

- Wow, such a different ideology.

- It's different, but Xi, he'sthe worst that's come along

in a long time.

I was so happy when Deng Xiaoping went.

He said it would be riches, glorious, and they opened up

and it was freedom of religion.

I had access personally.

It was so good to China.

I just love the Chinese people, they're wonderful people.

All right.

- All right, well, still ahead,

we've got more of yourvoicemail questions.

Round three of the special edition

of Your Questions, HonestAnswers is coming up.

Stay with us.

(upbeat music)

(positive music)

Welcome back.

We've got round three

of Your Questions andHonest Answers from Pat.

We're gonna start with John's question.

He's from Findlay, Ohio.

Here's John.

- [Man On Voicemail] My question is this.

We had to put our dog down.

He's 15 years old, wonderfulrescue shelter dog,

very close to him.

We had the dog crematedand we have his ashes.

Would it be offensiveto God if, when I pass,

that I would have thedog's ashed buried with me?

- If you want to have your dog's ashes--

I tell you what, there are notgonna be any dogs in heaven,

if I read the Bible correctly.

Horses maybe, white horses--

- White horses.

- But I don't know of any dogs there.

I've had so many different dogs.

I've had every kind of dogyou've ever thought of.

We've owned every type of dog.

And I've loved dogs, traineddogs, teach dogs do everything,

and if you're close to them,

they get to be like members of the family.

So, I tell you one thing,

at the resurrection, that dogisn't gonna come back to life.

But you will come in a new body

and you have a spirit andyour spirit will live on.

The Bible says the spiritof the beast goes down

into the ground and thespirit of man goes up

to be with God, okay?

- Wow, I didn't know that verse.

- It's in there.

- It's in there, okay.

All right, here's a callerfrom Mount Pleasant, Texas.

- [Woman On Voicemail]I would like to know,

as a Christian, when you passaway and you go to heaven

to be with the Lord andlive forever with Him,

I'd like to know anything that you love

or anything that you want oranything that makes you happy,

will that be in heaven for you?

Like horses, and so forth?

Will they be in heaven?

- I think the joy in heavenis going to be beyond measure,

because we will be spiritsand we will be in the presence

of God Almighty and His presencewill be so overwhelming,

it'll be so beautiful, soexquisite, so delightful,

that we will be just caught up in that.

Whatever memories youmay have had of the past,

it will be, of course,no tears, no sorrow.

But if the things that made you happy,

God will give you everydelight that you could imagine.

That's what the Garden of Eden was,

it was a garden of delights.

It was everything thatcould be imagined to taste

and to smell and to view.

And heaven is going to beintensified thousands of times.

And we will be spirits.

We have to get our mindsaway from what we're doing

as human beings and think of what

we will do as spiritual beings,

before the presence of God.

It's gonna be beyond belief.

"Eye hasn't seen, ear hasn't heard,

"neither has it enteredinto the heart of man,

"what God has preparedto them that love Him."

But the Lord has revealedit to us by His Spirit.

But we just get a little glimpse of it.

It's gonna be so wonderful.

- And don't forget the mansions.

- The mansion is an incorrect--

- [Wendy] Oh no!

- "In My Father's house are many rooms",

resting places, not mansions.

- Okay.

- I'm sorry, it's a bad translation.

"Many resting places".

- It's a "no".

- I'm sorry, you ain'tgonna have a mansion.

- Okay.

Good to know.

- I have a mansion over thehills, all right, go ahead.

- [Wendy] It'll still be nice.

All right here's a question from Chris.

He's from Shelton, Washington.

- [Man On Voicemail] Do youbelieve that the United States

will eventually be invaded?

- I doubt very seriouslyif we will be invaded

but I do think the NorthKoreans are doing everything

they can to get anintercontinental ballistic missile

that is adequate to hit America.

I think the idea of theChinese developing one,

the Russians developing one.

Tom Clancy, in some of hisbooks, he had a freighter

out there in the Baltimoreharbor that launched a missile,

and that was part of that,"The Sum of All Fears".

I do believe that it'd be possible

to haul something like that.

In terms of a land army invading us,

it doesn't make a whole lotof sense, in today's world.

- Let's pray not.- One last question.

Okay, here's Mary Loufrom Harrisburg, Illinois.

- [Woman On Voicemail] My question is,

is it a sin to drink beerand chew chewing tobacco?

- Is it a sin to drink beerand chew chewing tobacco?

- Chewing tobacco is so nasty.

You know, it'll also giveyou cancer of the throat

and the gums.

I know some of thosebaseball players used to have

a big wad of--

But it'll give you cancer.

Chewing tobacco, it's just so nasty.

- My grandfather did it.

- My wife was a nurse andthey knew she was my wife,

and there was one old ladywho was either dippin' snuff

or doing something andwhen my wife showed up,

she swallowed it, so mywife wouldn't catch her

with the stuff in her mouth.

- Oh my goodness.

- Is it a sin?

It's just stupid and it's nasty.

And it'll give you cancer, okay?

Well, today's power minuteis from the book of John:

"And the word becameflesh and dwelt among us,

"and we beheld His glory,

"the glory as of the onlybegotten Son of the Father,

"full of grace and truth."

Thanks for being with us.

For Wendy and all of us, I'llsee you tomorrow, bye-bye.
