- Time for your questionsand some honest answers.
Pat, this viewer says,
"Can our deceased loved onesin heaven hear our thoughts?
"If I speak out loud or inthought, can they hear me?"
- The answer is no, I don't think that.
Well, the Bible says we're surrounded
by such a great cloud of witnesses,
but I don't think they're outof heaven listening to us.
I don't think that's the case,
and I do not read that in the Bible.
So if you're thinking or you're talking,
your loved ones in heavenwon't be hearing it,
in my opinion, okay?
- Okay, this is Destinee, who says, "I'm 16 years old.
"I have a serious fear of thunderstorms.
"I'm afraid that thelightning will strike me down.
"Yet I tell myself thatGod wouldn't allow it,
"and that He controls thestorm, but I'm still afraid.
"How do I get rid of my fear?"
- Well, the Bible says,
"Perfect love casts outfear, for fear has torment."
What you've got to do is believe God.
So you get hit by lightning, so big deal.
So you die, so you know the Lord.
What happens when you die,you go to be with Jesus.
(Terry laughs)So you're better off.
- That's the short version. (laughing)
- I mean honestly.
- [Audience Member] Amen.
(Pat and Terry laughing)
- But you want to, you know,if you're afraid of lightning,
lightning will come out of a conductor,
so make sure you've got rubber shoes on
and you're not exposingyourself to lightning.
But lightning doesn'tcome down from upstairs.
It comes from the bottom up,and then it meets with a cloud,
and you get the explosion.
So you're not gonna get hit by lightning,
so just chill, okay.
