- Welcome to "The Superbook Show."

- Hey, everybody.

Okay, I know what weshould talk about today,

- Okay, what's that?

- I was just watchinga "Superbook" episode,

and now I'm wondering, ifbad things happen to me,

does that mean Goddoesn't love me anymore?

- Whoa.

(air whooshes)

So what episode were you watchingthat brought all this up?

- Job.

- Stop assuming my guilt, for I have done no wrong.

Do you ink I am lying?

Don't I know the differencebetween right and wrong?

- He made your childrenpay for their sins,

so why don't you turn toHim and start living right?

We know God doesn'treject an innocent person

or help a sinner.

- [Man] You simply must repent.

The only way you'll really- Do you think that's why

those bad things- Get better is by repenting

for everything you've done.- Were happening to me, Joy?

Because I did something wrong?- I don'--

- Chris thought at badthings were happening to him

because of all the badthings he saw happen to Job.

So I gotta wonder, ifbad things happen to me,

does that mean God's mad at me?

- That's a tough question,

mainly because even whenwe do know the answer,

it's really hard to believewhen bad things happen to us.

- So what's the answer?

- The answer is no.

Just 'cause bad thingsare happening to you

doesn't mean that God's mad at you,

or even that you did anything wrong.

- Really?

- Yep.

In fact, Jesus said Godgives sunlight to the good

and the evil, and it rains onthe just and the unjust alike.

- But righteous rain is better, right?

- Nope, same rain.

I know, let's look at astory in John chapter nine.

The disciples asked Jesusabout a man who was born blind.

(soft music)

- Rabbi, why was this man born blind?

- Was it because of his ownsins, or his parents sins?

- Neither.

This happened so the powerof God could be seen in him.

- (exhales) Stop blowing my mind.

- Not quite finished.

- Wait, there's more?

- Yeah, let's read Romans chapter eight,

where it's spelled out very plainly.

- Okay.

- Can anything ever separateus from Christ's love?

Does it mean he no longer loves us

if we have trouble, or calamity,

or are persecuted, orhungry, or destitute,

or in danger, or threatened with death?

- Wait, are you asking me?

- No, no, despite all these things,

overwhelming victory is oursthrough Christ who loved us.

- Wow, so God reallyloves us no matter what.

- No matter what.

- And if bad things happen to us,

that doesn't mean God stopped loving us.

- No, not at all.

- Thank God for His love.

- Amen, every day.

- His word is forever alive.

(air whooshes)

- Our "Superbook" app isfor the good, and bad alike.

- And our site, superbook.cbn.com,and our Facebook page,

will speak to both the and the unjust.

- [Both] God loves you no matter what.

- The disceeples.

The disceeples.(DeMarcus laughs)

- Discee, disceeples.

- The E in front of the--

O.

- Yeah.

(fingers snap)

Hey ya.

Hey ya.

- What episode were you wa--

- Okay.

So what's the answer?

(laughs) Come on!

- Sorry.

- Now you got me worked up, okay.

- All right now, let's go look at a story

in John chapter nine.

That was like massively awkward, so.

- (laughs) Cha, cha, cheese.

- [Joel] Chapter nine, okay.
