- And welcome back.
It's time for your questions
and some honest answers from Pat.
Let's start with David's.
He says, "I've read in the Bible
"that knowledge willincrease in the last days,
"but I've never read that humans
"will go to planets like Mars.
"From a biblicalperspective, will God allow
"such things to take place before
"or during the Tribulation?"
- The truth is God's allowing us
to do planetary exposure ratio right now.
The truth is Mars is an inhabitable rock.
The other planets are a bunch of rocks.
We are living in the most beautiful planet
of all the planets.
It is a special place as ahabitation for human beings,
and I don't know why anybodywould want to leave this
to go to some hunk ofrock out in the stars.
But they'll be some interplanetary,
but that's not theBible was talking about.
Knowledge would increase,
but it increasing exponentially.
The amount of knowledgethat's available to us
right now is nothing short of awesome.
Just the little thingsyou hold in your hand,
a little iPod, you can punch up stuff
and you can get a voluminous information.
And we have the ability tosend in a matter of seconds
all of the books that'll be stored
in the Library of Congressput down on the digital phone.
So without a question that knowledge
has exploded on this planet.
You don't have to go to any other planet.
All right.
- I remember in high schoolyou had to go to the library
and get encyclopedias to do a book report.
- [Pat] That's right.
- Now you don't have to do that anymore.
- All you do is punch it up.
- There it us.
You can solve your ownhealth crisis with Google.
All right.
Lucia says, "For Christiansto have any credibility
"in the non-Christian world,it is essential for Christians
"to stand against the slaughter in Syria.
"Even the Jews wereallowed to arm themselves
"against Haman, why not the Kurds?"
- Well look, I suggestedas a matter of fact
to one of our leaderswho will remain nameless
that we sell arms to the Kurds,
but here's what used to happen.
The Kurds were under thecontrol of the Iraqi government,
which in turn was controlled by Baghdad.
So if we would send weapons to Baghdad,
they would hold them.
They wouldn't send them on to the Kurds.
So I think absolutely weought to give the Kurds
all they need to defend themselves.
There's nothing wrong withthat and we should be done.
All right.
- All right.
Rhonda right in, "Recently,I've had a long discussion
"with my pastors about a problem going on
"in our church that Idisagree with them about.
"Everything seemed great, but then the pastor's wife
"started ignoring me!
"It's not like it wasn't noticeable
"since we are both on thepraise and worship team.
"This has gone on for several weeks,
"and I'm not sure what I need to do.
"I've supported mypastors for over 15 years
"and when I didn't agree with them.
"I don't want to leave the church
"because I feel like they are all family,
"and I love them.
"What should I do?"
- Well, you know what the Bible says,
"If you have ought against any,
"you go to your brotherand tell him the problem."
Why don't you go to that pastor's wife
and say, "Listen, we're onthe worship team together.
"How come you're not talking to me?
"And I really enjoy the fellowship."
Or maybe you could giveher a gift and say,
"Here's something that Ithought it to be special."
Find out something she would like
and then give it to her.
And then all of a suddenher heart will be open.
But what is it that's wrong with her?
You've got to find out.
You really need to put yourself
in the position of somebody else.
What is it that's her problem?
Have you offended her?
Is she dislike you for some reason?
Is there somebody talkingabout you to her with slander?
I mean, what's going on?
Go to the one and the spirit of (mumbles).
You yourself be tempted and say
and get it right withyour brother or sister.
That's what the Bible says.
You don't quite walk out.
Try to fix it.
You know.
- That's good word.
Very good.
All right.
Audi says, "Hello!
"I am a new landlord.
"We still have a mortgageon the rental property.
"We also cover the water, sewer
"and trash for the rental property.
"My question is, do I titheon the entire rental income
"or just on what wouldbe considered profit
"after expenses are covered?"
- You know I was once talkingto the Secretary of Treasury
about how we ought to account for taxes,
and Ronald Reagan thoughtthat tax deductions
should be allowed on thegross income, not the net.
As far as your tithe,I think your obligation
is to pay the tithe on theprofit, not on the gross.
For grocery stores forexample, tithe on their gross
they wouldn't have any money left
because their margins are so thin.
They have huge gross, but not much net.
So normally speaking I think the tithe
would be onto that, butthe government allows
you a tax deduction Ibelieve on the gross.
- That's good news to a lotof people watching right now.
