Welcome to the 700 club.
And thanks so much for joining
with us.
Well, president elect
Trump, he's repeated his warning
to Hamas, return
the hostages by inauguration day
or pay a heavy price.
In a press conference
yesterday, Trump
also discussed
the situation in Syria
and the current state
of the Middle East.
Chris
Mitchell reports from Jerusalem.
During
his press conference, president
elect Trump weighed in
on the sudden takeover of Syria
by rebel forces.
He also suggested
Turkish reception to one
was deeply involved,
and sees Syria
as part of his plan
to reconstruct a Turkish empire.
Turkey is the one behind it.
He's a very smart guy.
They've wanted it for thousands
of years and he got it.
And those people that went in,
are controlled by Turkey.
And that's okay.
It's another way to fight.
Trump's comments come as U.S.
officials fear Turkish backed
forces are massing on the border
of northeast Syria
for an imminent invasion.
The territory is controlled
by Kurdish forces
and an independent
and democratic government.
There was an ally with the U.S.
in the war against ISIS.
In a letter
to Trump, leaders warned
of catastrophic consequences
if they were invaded
and asked Trump to press Erdogan
to not send troops
across the border.
As to Israel's war
with Iran's proxies.
Trump was bullish on his talk
with Netanyahu.
The real conversations
will start on the 20th,
but we had
a really good conversation,
and I think we're going to be
in a good place
in the Middle East.
Trump said getting the hostages
free is a priority.
As you know, I gave warning
that if these hostages
aren't back home by that date,
all hell is going to break out
and very strong.
The release of the hostages
is one of the toughest issues
since October 7th.
Now that Hamas realizes
Hezbollah and Iran are not
coming to its rescue,
the group may be ready
to finally bargain with Israel.
Israel's defense minister
told the Knesset Monday
that a deal is the nearest it's
been since the last agreement.
I know everybody here.
We all estimate
that an opportunity is
being created following Hamas's
need to become more flexible.
And I really hope we can advance
to a practical stage
in this process.
According to the Washington
Post, Hamas is no longer
insisting the war in Gaza
completely end and all Israeli
troops depart.
It's a precondition
for releasing hostages.
Meanwhile, a new study reports
Hamas has vastly inflated
the number of Gazans
killed in the 14 month war.
The Hamas run Ministry of Health
in Gaza claims 45,000 dead.
But the Henry Jackson Society's
report disputes that number.
It concludes Hamas is reporting
has a number of distortions.
Men listed as women
to inflate female fatalities.
Adults registered as children
to inflate child fatalities,
including 5000 natural deaths,
as well as people killed
by Hamas in the death totals,
including deaths
before the war began
and no mention
of combatant deaths.
As many as 17,000 military
historian John Spencer said
during its war with Hamas,
Israel has done more to mitigate
civilian deaths than any other
military in history.
Chris Mitchell,
CBN news, Jerusalem.
Well, we've
been telling you for over a year
now that the Hamas ministry,
the Gaza ministry of health,
is a propaganda
arm of Hamas, that
there is a total invention
of Hamas.
Everyone involved in
that is a Hamas fighter.
So you cannot believe
these numbers.
But again and again
and again, I'm hearing it
and hearing these,
inflated numbers repeated,
whether in Europe
or in the United States.
And it goes along with
this whole argument that somehow
or other Israel is involved
in a genocide in Gaza.
Well,
there's no genocide denial.
Israel is not trying to wipe out
every man,
woman and child in Gaza.
That's what the genocide is.
Who is trying to wage genocide?
Well, it's Hamas,
and it's right in their charter
where they call
for a Palestinian state
throughout Israel.
And in that Palestinian state,
there should be no Jew.
They are the ones calling
for the the genocide.
Israel is doing its best
to protect civilian lives,
but in that Hamas is doing its
best to put civilians at risk.
And that's why they're putting
their headquarters and hospitals
and schools and U.N.
buildings.
That's why they're
using civilians as shields.
And that's why they're even
using the hostages as shields.
I just applaud the incoming
president.
We need to take a stand here.
There are Americans
who are hostages
in these tunnels in Gaza.
We have to set them free.
If it were any other party
in charge right now,
the mainstream media would have
a incredible drumbeat
every single day.
Go back
to the Bush administration
and the war in Iraq,
where every single newscast,
every single night,
led with the death toll of
American soldiers in Iraq.
And and it was all a propaganda
effort,
to change administrations
to another party.
let's let's call it for what
it is, and let's please
stand for truth.
This misinformation
coming out of Gaza
should have never been repeated.
In other news, investigators
are looking for answers
after a 15 year old girl
opened fire inside her
Christian school in Wisconsin.
I don't understand the level of
violence in our schools today.
It just seems to be again
and again and again.
That which was restrained seems
to be going away
in our own culture.
John Jessup has that story
and more from our CBN
news bureau in Washington. John
and Gordon, a student
and teacher, died in the attack
and two others are in critical
condition as of this morning.
Madison's abundant life
Christian School
has 420 students from
pre-kindergarten to 12th grade.
Officials
say the suspect, identified
as 15 year old student
Natalie Rupp, now
brought a handgun and started
shooting in a study hall.
The 911 call came in
just before 11 a.m.
Monday from a second grader.
Don't let
that soak it in for a minute.
A second grade student call 911
at 10:57 a.m.
to report a shooting at school.
Officers entered the school
within four minutes,
finding two victims dead and six
injured.
Investigators say
the suspect took her own life.
The attack, happening just days
before Christmas break, begins.
I heard gunshots and screaming
and it was all really scary
and I was, like, terrified.
So are my friends.
The community gathered
in a prayer service last night
as police searched
the alleged shooter's home
and social media accounts.
The suspect's
parents are cooperating
with the investigation.
Well, now to the latest on drone
sightings in the northeast,
with the white House
releasing new information.
National Security communications
adviser John Kirby
says an analysis of the reports
reveals
the sightings are a combination
of lawful drones used
by companies, hobbyists
and law enforcement,
as well as manned fixed wing
aircraft and helicopters.
Even star's announcement
comes amid widespread criticism
of the government's response
to the multiple drone sightings,
including from
president elect Donald Trump.
They know where
it came from and where it went.
And for some reason,
they don't want to comment, and
I think they'd be better off
saying what it is.
For federal agencies also
declared there's no evidence
of a threat to national security
or public safety.
The FBI is warning
people not to try to shoot down
any suspected drones.
Well, a free speech case in
Virginia challenges a realtors
right to post Bible verses
on his Facebook page.
The Virginia Association
of Realtors ruled Wilson Farber
committed a breach of ethics
because his post violated
a prohibition on, quote, certain
religious expressions.
Barber told CBN's Wendy Griffith
he did nothing wrong
and is expected to appeal.
This started to come to light
last year
when 70 year old Wilson Farber,
a realtor and pastor,
decided to run for Staunton's
city council
long before his decision to run.
Farber reposted a scripture
from Reverend Franklin
Graham on his Facebook
page in 2015.
It stated that homosexual sex is
a sin based on Leviticus 1822.
Then last year, two Staunton
realtors, including an openly
gay man, filed a complaint
with the Virginia Association
of Realtors
accusing Farber of hate speech.
Why do you think this is
all coming out now in 2024?
Because the National Association
of Realtors is woke.
The leadership of the
National Association of Realtors
has made it very clear
about their involvement
and endorsing
and approving
of the LGBTQ community.
And just recently,
just a few weeks ago, actually,
in Charlottesville, Virginia,
the National Association
of Realtors provided
funding for drag
Queen
to show the Charlottesville Area
Association of Realtors
hosted the November drag
show in the name of a fair
housing symposium
reportedly funded in part
by the National Association
of Realtors Fair Housing Grant.
We contacted the Na for comment
and no one has responded
to our request.
So let me get this straight
so they can use realtor funds
for drag queen shows,
but he can't post a
biblical scripture on Facebook
to support traditional marriage.
That's the position
that's being suggested.
Michael Sylvester
with Founding Freedom's
Law Center, represents
fiber and tells CBN news
that while this is a violation
of free speech, there's a catch.
So it all changed in 2020
when the National Association
of Realtors adopted a rule
that prohibits anybody
from speaking
what they deem hate speech
against certain protected
classes, such
as sexual orientation
or gender identity.
But what's incredible here
is the post that Wilson made was
in 2015, five years
before that rule even existed.
He simply was presenting his
religious views about marriage
that should not qualify
for a hate speech charge.
For now, Farber
can keep his real estate license
while they pursue
a possible appeal.
He says this guilty ruling,
however, sets a bad precedent
and will likely affect
other organized passions,
not just realtors.
Christians don't have rights,
and this is just totally wrong.
And the National Association
of Realtors
being the largest trade
organization in America,
they have set a precedent
by adopting this policy.
If I'm guilty because I post
my religious beliefs in a meme
or a scripture on my Facebook
or social media accounts,
if that's guilty of hate speech,
there are millions
and millions of Christians
that agree with my position
and we don't have a voice.
If the guilty verdict stands,
Farber could face fines
as high as $15,000
and possibly lose his license,
which would likely end
his real estate career.
Wendy Griffith CBN news
Thank
you Wendy Gordon back to you.
Well I hope this story gets
you outraged
because I certainly am.
There's a new thing
coming and it's called
Socia Social media archeology.
Here you have a post.
It's nine years ago
before the rule was
put in by the realtors.
And they're taking
a current rule and applying it
to something that he did
on his own Facebook page.
So here you have a pastor.
He's also a politician.
He's also a realtor.
At what point in time does
a realtor have the association
have the power
to invade his private accounts?
his political accounts,
his political speech?
does does their power
really extend that far?
we're into this gray area
in American culture right now.
And the gray area
is the Bill of rights
applies to the government.
The government can't
restrict speech
and can't restrict assembly.
can't restrict the press.
the government has to guarantee
the free exercise of religion
in the culture.
So the government
needs to intervene
when these private organizations
have this, ideology that they're
trying to enforce
and limit speech.
America is all about
freedom of conscience.
It's all about
freedom of speech.
We all get to believe
what we want to believe.
And in that competition
of free ideas,
the best ideas always emerge.
we have to stand for that
if we allow, you know, hate
speech to be the sort of tag
that limits free speech.
We've lost a fundamental
right to free.
Anxiety, depression,
loneliness
and social media addiction.
These are just some of the
challenges facing today's teens.
Young life is a ministry
that recently conducted
a project to learn
how to reach generation Z.
Charlene
Aaron tells us what they found.
This past summer,
a recent Gallup survey found
a surprising number of teenagers
feel the pressure to be perfect
all the time,
leading to negative emotions.
Young life,
a Christ centered ministry
focused on helping kids
know Jesus wanted to learn more.
In hopes
of turning those feelings
in a more positive direction.
Through its relate project.
Around
40% of young people don't know
or don't believe
that they are worthy of love.
It's something that should
burden us all.
For more than 80 years,
Young Life has focused
on the lives of kids in the U.S.
and beyond, building
relationships through trust
and sharing
the good news of Christ.
Ministry vice President Doctor
Arthur
Satterwhite helped conduct
research for the Relate project.
As those who were called
to come alongside young people
knowing who this generation is,
where they are,
what's their context,
is a big part of us
being able to to go to them,
build relationship
and earn the right to be heard.
Also on the minds of Gen
Z relationships
and communicating not online,
but in person.
More than half communicate
most often one on one
with their closest friend.
Another 20% talk through phone
calls, FaceTime or WhatsApp.
The remaining 25
tend to use text,
email and direct messages
to communicate with friends.
Friends and family
are the primary sources of help
for adolescents
and for this young generation.
40% worry
about their mental health.
And when it comes to technology,
the study found over 35%
turn to social media
when feeling anxious.
So the opportunity for us
is not so much
how do we get them off of it?
It's how do we help them
leverage it for positive aims?
How can we help them
with a theology of technology
that helps them to process?
Where
and how can this help me think
and go deeper
in my relationship with God?
Something Stafford Kramer
with Young Life in Virginia
Beach wants to dive into
with these young people.
It can't just be verbal
proclamation.
It's there's gotta be something
tangible that kids can remember
that they can hold on to,
that they can touch, that
they can feel
that they can smell,
that they can relate to
in their personal lives.
At the heart of Young Life
involves connecting with kids
via clubs and weekly
Bible studies like this one.
Many point out
how this generation and their
needs have changed post-Covid.
I think kids are a little less
innocent just crazy pandemic,
just, I think, took away
some of their innocence and
kind of forced them to grow up
a little bit too quick.
Challenges.
Satterwhite
says the gospel can help
by developing new strategies.
This research is helping us
understand what is the context
that might inform
what are today's methods,
what are the new wineskins
and what is the new then?
Then the new wine?
It's a shift.
Other ministries
such as InterVarsity
and crew are also considering
as they review Young Life's
findings.
It's been fun
to see these other organizations
who are struggling with
some of the same things,
you know, with a similar heart
for young people,
wrestle with man, what is what
what are the implications
for our ministry?
how might we be more intentional
about creating belonging
for the young people that are
calling our community home?
Are being drawn
to our community?
I think that we have
we had to and have become people
where we're constantly sharing
our lives with these students.
We are entering into the lives
of kids
day in and day out consistently.
And when it comes to the faith
of Gen Z, a positive response.
What we found that was faith
as a framing story helps, folks,
especially young people, to
to to contextualize.
Like what is belonging mean?
You know, where do I fit in
and what does
what should that
what could that look like
as we help them to know
not just who they are,
but who they are
and what they're called to?
That's what we're seeing
is a direct correlation
to increase flourishing,
a flourishing this ministry is
helping to shape.
There are 60 kids showing up
every Friday before school
to go to Bible study.
we started there might have been
ten people,
and that was a big number
for us.
So to have 60 and it's just
continuing to grow.
These kids are really resonating
with the purpose,
the love, the consistency
that Jesus gives them.
And they're really grabbing
hold to that.
I know and have seen kids
walk from death to life
and they're not hopeless.
Charlene Aaron CBN news.
One of the
signatures of that story
is the number of living rooms
filled with young people,
all of them
with their physical Bible
open in their laps and they're
reading Scripture together.
We need to realize that
when we've departed
from Scripture,
we have departed from life.
We have departed from that
which restrains.
If young people don't know
the stories of the Bible,
if they're not constantly,
diving into the Word of God,
they're going to be led astray.
And on the internet today,
there's plenty to lead you
astray.
You have to come back
to that life giving scripture.
Here's a quote from you.
It's from Psalm 119 your word.
Remember
the word to your servant,
upon which you have caused me
to hope.
If you're living
in despair, it's
because you're not remembering
the promises of God.
You're
not remembering this scripture
and this prayer is to God.
Remember
the word to your servant
upon which you have
caused me to hope.
This is my comfort
in my affliction.
Whatever affliction comes to you
in life,
your comfort will come
from the word,
for your word has given me life.
We have some wonderful
Bible studies available
to everyone and it's
absolutely free on Cbn.com.
We'll send you an email
every single day
with a scripture verse
and some, chapters to read. And
you can read through the Bible
and in just a single year.
you can also get Superbook
for your children.
They can watch these cartoons
when the Bible characters
are talking,
they're talking scripture.
They're talking from,
the either the new living
or the the new King James
and the English version in the,
all the languages that we have
or not the 70 languages.
we're using
the predominant translations
so that
when they do read the Bible,
they'll remember
the Superbook cartoon
and put the two together.
we're coming out with a whole
study on Psalm 119, next month.
And we're encouraging people
with a whole series put together
by Regents School of Divinity,
how to study the Bible
so that everyone can,
you know, know the principles
from a divinity school,
of what you need the equipment.
You need to read the Bible,
study the Bible, understand?
So that, yes, you can have
the promises of God.
You can pray those promises back
to God and get hope
that the word will be comfort
to you in your affliction.
We need to get back
into the Word of God.
And here's the really good news.
The Bible is now becoming
a bestselling book
all over again,
right here in America.
Bible sales are up.
Well, you need to open them.
Open them regularly.
Get that word in to you
because the days are very
uncertain and the Word of God
will stand forever.
And when that's written
in your heart,
written in your memory,
then you won't have anxiety
in the days ahead.
You'll have the comfort
of Scripture there.
Well, Jim Godson
and her husband Jim
met ten years ago on a film
set in Georgia.
Together,
they produced a Christmas movie
that's loosely
based on their true love story.
Fans are calling The Farmer
in the Bell
saving Santaland
their new favorite
Christmas movie,
when a famous model returns
to her farm.
I'm not aging out and reunites
with a long lost pen pal.
She may find what true
beauty really is
that true beauty is here.
Your beauty is not just
how you look on the outside,
but by the things you do
and who you are on the inside.
The farmer in the bell.
Available now.
Well, please
welcome to the 700 club.
The bell herself. Jen. Godson.
Happy you hear?
Harry, I'm so excited.
Well, you have lots to share
because this is a project
that has many arms to it.
But this is one that,
you know, at Christmas time,
we were talking and,
you know,
I was saying that families
look for things
they can do together
that are good, positive,
uplifting things.
And it sounds like this
project is one of them.
You say that
the movie is loosely
based on your own true
love story.
Tell us about that.
Oh, Ginny Chandler's my love.
I called my forever husband.
Well that's good. I know right?
For starters, that's
exactly where it needs to be.
And I would say about 70%
of our movie
came from being on his farm.
His mom owns
this farm for over 100 years,
and we've got goats and chickens
and cows and pigs.
But here you are.
I mean, that's not the world
you were in
at the time that you met.
Where are you
always? A farm girl at heart.
No, no no no no no no no no no.
I don't think I've ever stepped
on a farm or stepped in a farm.
But his sense of humor,
I know.
no. Acting and modeling has been
my journey since I was 15.
And so, yeah, Jim and I, we met,
He courted my heart with love
letters.
Well, that's the thing.
When I was going through a very
difficult time of not knowing
if anybody would ever love me
again.
And, And so in the movie,
you see us as pen pals
writing letters,
and Jim has a pastoral heart.
He's not a pastor,
but he spoke life to me
as if God would speak to me,
saying,
Jenny, you know what beauty
really is, is when you know
you use the gifts
that God has given us
and you use them
with joy to bless others.
So it sounds like
he came into your life at a time
when you were really
having some soul searching
and maybe some self-doubt
about your own value
as a person, and God
used him to speak into that.
So everybody
that is in a relationship,
this library relationship
has a beginning.
But happy relationships
usually have a story
that's connected to them, but
they don't all become movies.
Where did the idea
for turning your story
into a movie
come from? Right? Right, right.
Well,
I kept hearing the Lord whisper,
you're going to produce
a big movie.
And I'm like,
what does that mean?
And then I heard the whisper.
The farmer in the Dell,
the farmer in the Bible.
And then we were speaking to
someone over at a big network,
and they said,
you can't name it that.
You have to name it saving land.
So we're like, okay, the farmer
in the belt saving Santaland.
And as the story developed,
Terry, the Lord said, no.
This movie is about helping
helping those women
who also don't believe
they'll ever be left again
and that they are
God's masterpiece.
So how did those two things come
together?
Saving Santa's land
and then the love story.
Well, because the love story
was so integrated
into my healing.
It needed to be shared. And,
it's just beautiful.
Give us a brief summary
of what the what
we can expect
when we go to the movie. Okay.
So my character.
So it's a rom com.
It's like.
It's feel like sweet home
Alabama meets home on the range
with the twist home alone.
And, I know right?
My grandma gives me
this bracelet
when I'm a little girl and tells
me beauty is on the inside.
Beauty is on the inside.
So I'm so excited.
I have to tell my pen pal,
which is my husband
and I go to a pig farm,
which is Santaland.
And, well, I lose the bracelet
in the pig slop and I get made
fun of which
paws is an echo of my true life.
And, as an adult,
I become this famous model
in pink pajamas in New York City
with a horse and pink pajamas
at the end of my career.
And, I said,
I need to find this bracelet.
And so on the journey, I go
with laughter wrestling pigs
with Santa hats on it.
Why not?
I, I had a good time.
But most importantly,
understanding
that true
beauty is when we serve others.
Well, I hear you saying that
the takeaway you want from
this movie is much more than a
nice family Christmas movie. So?
So what do you want that to be?
When people see the movie
and especially women
that you're talking about.
But there are plenty of men
out there
who also don't feel
very lovable.
What's
the message you want the doll
is, as I said, in this bracelet,
we hold on and we grasp on
to the love that God has for us.
And I like to imagine, as if I'm
holding onto Jesus's hand.
And it's a prayer
that says, Dear Jesus,
help me grasp
a wide, high, long and deep.
Your love is for me.
And we worked with Greg
and there in Somalia
focus on the family.
And they said, the only way
you can actually feel God's love
is if you forgive
and open your heart.
And so,
the bracelet is a pathway
to actual biblical beauty.
Terry, each inscription shares
what really makes someone
beautiful and valuable.
A magnificent masterpiece,
beautiful.
Made by God.
My body,
my soul are marvelously made.
I'm an overcomer.
I'm transformed
by the renewing of my mind.
I'm going to bring those lies
into the light of God.
And I'm going to be transformed.
So you've actually created the
bracelets as well for people?
I did, and then I want to
mention the book
Beautiful Marble.
What's that about?
So in the movie,
my character reads
beautiful marble
to a little girl,
which is Josh's daughter.
And that's
that's fictional in the movie.
It's actually her niece.
And in doing so,
I have a revelation
as I'm speaking to her,
that beauty is when
we serve others with kindness.
And so, Mike Narok,
Larry the Cucumber
I was terrible impression.
Sorry, Mike.
he we asked him
to write the book.
And. Sarah.
Sergio Floyd
does the beautiful watercolors.
Wonderful.
I want everybody to know
where they can get these items.
You can watch the the farmer

Thank you. Gordon.
Welcome back to Washington
for the CBN news break.
Researchers warn
parts of America are sinking.
A study
from the University of Miami
found about 35 coastal buildings
in South Florida
are affected by subsidence.
The gradual sinking of land.
And it's not only the Sunshine
State.
Scientists say New York City
is sinking at a rate of about 1
to 4mm a year in California's
San Joaquin Valley.
Researchers
at Stanford University
say chronic groundwater
pumping is causing land
to sink as much as one foot
each year.
Scientists say the main
risk of the sinking is a higher
risk of flood damage.
Well, U.S.
Senate Chaplain Barry Black says
God performed a miracle
after he was admitted
to the hospital last week
suffering from a brain bleed.
The chaplains chief of staff
put out a call for prayer
on his behalf.
Pastor Ted Wilson, president
of the seventh day
Adventist World Church,
took to the social media website
X, soliciting prayer.
He was surprised
to get a voice message
from Chaplain Black, sharing
how God miraculously intervened
to prevent a much worse
situation.
Black is expected
to make a full recovery.
The 76 year old is a retired
rear Navy admiral,
and the first black individual
and seventh day Adventist
to serve as a U.S. Senate
chaplain.

and I have say well team
it is struggle to practice
the Muslim daily prayer.
He thought it was too hard.
Well then one day he prayed
a completely different prayer
after watching an episode
of Superbook.
11 year old Tim,
who was confused by his parents
two religions.
My dad was Muslim
and my mom was Christian
at one point, he said he tried
to practice Islam.
My dad told me
I have to practice the Muslim
daily prayer.
But it was hard for me because
I didn't know how to do it.
One day,
he accepted an invitation
to visit an after school program
supported by CBN's
Orphan's Promise.
There he received snacks
and free tutoring.
He also learned about the Bible
from CBN Superbook.
The first story I watched was
about David fighting Goliath.
I liked when David stood bravely
and was not afraid to fight
Goliath.
But it was the story of Jesus
dying on the cross
that finally grabbed his heart.
I actually teared up when I saw
that part of the story
where Jesus got whipped
was carrying the cross,
and finally crucified.
That day, Timo
prayed to become a Christian.
I prayed, God,
please forgive me for my sins.
I also prayed,
Jesus, I invite you
to come into my heart
to be my Lord and my Savior.
He most said he loves sharing
Superbook stories
with his family
and prayed that one day
they will all go to church
together.
They love the stories
I tell them.
I am thankful to Jesus

Hi! We are from CBN Malaysia.
We would like to wish you
a merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year. Oh.
A sign.
That's
what Tony Espinosa asked God for
after she prayed for her
husband's heart to be healed.
Tony asked
for a very specific sign,
and here's how her request led
to a white Christmas miracle.
Every time I pray,
I have always asked for a sign.
Always.
Since I was a little girl.
That's all.
Just a little sign, Lord.
Just a little sign.
Tony Espinosa had been praying
for a miracle
since March of 2004.
That was when she and her
husband,
David, learned
he only had two years to live.
And you just said, you know,
I hate to tell you this, but
your heart is enlarged.
It's not beating
like a normal heart.
F is the efficiency
rating of A of your heart.
A healthy heart is considered
at 60.
And I was at 12%. It was shock.
You know, my first
emotional shock.
I was numb.
I really was.
I was like a zombie
the first few days.
The first week,
my prayer was just like
that. Okay.
You know, help me through this.
They saw the second opinion
and a third,
but all came back
with the same diagnosis.
So it was more about
getting my family ready
for when I wasn't here
any longer.
I've accepted
the fact that I'm going to die.
But Tony and their daughters
weren't giving up faith.
They made an appointment
with doctors
at the DeBakey Heart Institute,
seven hours away in Houston.
I'm not ready for this.
I'm not ready to be it alone.
I'm not ready to be a widow.
I'm not ready.
I'm always asking God. Just.
You know that
David gets a heart transplant.
That's what I was praying for.
They asked their family
and friends at church
to pray for David.
Oh, that was awesome.
you know, I'm suddenly.
I'm on prayer lists everywhere.
They all rallied around us
and prayed for him,
and it was just amazing.
For the next seven months,
they continue
to make monthly trips
from their home in McAllen
to Houston for checkups.
I wasn't improving.
I wasn't getting worse.
But my year continued to be 12%.
The doctors told them
David needed a heart transplant
as soon as possible.
That's when Tony came to
a surprising realization.
Why am I asking for David
to get a heart transplant?
Someone has to die.
It just.
It did something to me
when I heard that.
I mean, I started praying,
gave him a new heart,
but not someone else's heart.
You can do that.
You can give him a new heart.
Thanksgiving came and went,
although he was still in
need of a transplant.
David was encouraged
that the Lord was working.
I continued to get
little messages
from God and of Matthew,
I will be with you
until the end of age.
And then I ran across, Ezekiel
where he says,
I will give you a new heart
and a new spirit.
I truly believe that
he was giving me hope
that there was
something to come.
I remember saying,
thank you for healing, David.
I know you have healed David.
Thank you.
Thank you Lord. Thank you.
But I just
I just need that little sign.
It would be awesome
if it snowed in McAllen.
I believe I said Christmas Eve,
Christmas Day,
McAllen, down in the Rio
Grande Valley.
And it's pretty much
two seasons.
You have summer for
about 11 months out of the year,
and for one month,
out of the year, you got four.
If you have that faith,
you know, the size of a mustard
seed and you just pray God
your will be done.
It was that Christmas Eve
and everyone had gone to bed.
Then I looked out and
I saw this stuff coming down,
and I opened the the door
and I was like,
this is snow.
I felt that.
Silent night, holy night.
There was no noise, nothing.
I felt him.
I felt him.
Like I'm here.
I've never left you.
It continued.
It continued and it continued.
And that was just. Thank you.
Thank you.
The next morning,
all South Texas
woke up to a white Christmas
for the first time
in over 100 years.
And for him to show me that way,
I'm just a little speck
in the world.
But he knows who I am.
God is awesome, and his mercy
and his compassion
is just overwhelming.
Three weeks later,
they went for David's
monthly checkup in Houston.
And then we go to the doctor
and he opens the chart
and it's just his eyes open up
and he says, you know what?
I can't explain it,
but you're not sick anymore.
What Tony and I looked day,
so we know we can explain it,
because I know.
I grabbed his hand and said,
you've been healed.
God answered our prayer.
Now my EAF is up in the mid 50s
and nothing has changed
other than it's not.
We put ourselves in his hands
and he did the rest.
Since 2004,
David has been enjoying life
with a healthy heart.
He and Tony continue to pray
and thank God for their miracle.
You can be at your lowest, but
yet he's going to pick you up.
As long as you've got faith
and you believe.
And I have a profound
love for him,
that's the good news.
It is not that I got healed.
It's just it's.
Now I have a story to
tell you of how great God is.
He is amazing and he is great.
And, you know, so often
we're asking God for something,
something significant, like
a life threatening condition.
And asking for a healing.
But what they found out,
and what is true, is that
when God responds to us,
it was him
we were looking for all along.
Not just what his hand
could provide for us,
but just his very presence.
It's amazing.
And in this instance,
what an unbelievable experience
that David had as his heart
was healed
with no explanation
after years of trouble.
And God gave a sign.
Just like at Christmas
time, God gave a sign Jesus.
And the sign is still the answer
today, isn't it?
So no matter what
you're looking at in your life,
whether you have a physical need
that you're
standing for healing for,
or maybe you have a financial
need, a relationship need,
maybe you're struggling
with addiction.
Maybe it's depression.
I don't know.
But what I know is
Jesus is the answer.
The sign is still the same,
and the peace
and the power and the strength
we need comes with him.
Many of you have sent in prayer
requests
this season as we've invited you
to do that.
Our trees throughout
the campus are covered
with these requests
and we pray for them regularly.
So we want to share
some of those today.
Before we pray specifically
for you, here's someone saying,
please, I need healing
for my husband from having COPD.
Someone else saying a stop
to the pain from hand surgery
and then cured of rectal cancer.
Someone else saying healing of
two leaking valves in my heart.
Gordon
or someone asking for prayer
for recovery from open
heart surgery.
asking for
healing for cataract surgery.
and then
can I sleep through the night
without getting leg cramps?
And then, someone
asking for a provision I need.
I need money so that
I can afford two crowns for my
my teeth.
Here's something that let
the story really penetrate that.
He's he's always with you.
He will be with you
even to the end of the age.
And he's not just with you,
as you know,
sort of in an a different God.
He's with you, loving
you tenderly,
willing to give you
whatever sign you need
so that your eyes would be open
and your ears would be open,
and you would understand
the greatness of his power
towards us who believe.
Get the gospel right.
God so loved the world.
That means you,
that whosoever would believe on
him should not perish.
Let's take that.
Let's say, okay, here I am.
I'm a whosoever
I believe, help my unbelief.
Lord, let me know that
you're with me right now.
Let's pray.
Lord God Almighty,
we just ask for you.
Yes, we ask that your presence
would be manifest in our midst.
Your word promises
that you will manifest yourself.
Oh Lord, we love you.
We love that
you came, that you left heaven,
that while we were sinners,
you died for us.
Lord, what a great gift.
What a great sacrifice for us.
We turn to you
and we ask for
your presence to shine
in our hearts,
that you would reveal yourself
to us.
Be with us
now, Lord God be Emmanuel,
God with us, for
we ask it in Jesus name.
There's someone you're
experiencing
heart pain right now
and you're saying, please say
heart conditions.
That pain just left to you,
your heart is going to return to
normal.
There's not going to be
any constriction in the veins
or the arteries.
In the name of Jesus, be healed
and be made whole.
Yeah, there's some there.
It's not some one. It's.
Many of us are praying for our
loved ones this holiday season
who have not yet
come home to the heart of God.
And I believe God's
pouring out his truth
and his power and his presence
in the way that only he can stop
pleading and begin to thank him
for what he's doing in the lives
of those you're praying for.
I think
there are also many praying
for provision
that, inflation is just ravaged.
your, your expenses and
your income hasn't kept track.
You're looking at credit card
debt,
you're looking
at a lot of different things
and you're wondering
where to go.
Let the God who wants to provide
provide for you.
May he provide all your need
according to his riches
in glory.
Lord, we ask for windows
and heaven to open
and pour out gifts
upon your children.
Pour out that blessing, Lord.
Give them new inventions,
new creative
ideas, new ways to earn income.
We ask it in Jesus name,
Amen and amen.
If you need prayer,
we're here for you.
We're here for you.
24 hours a day, seven days
a week I have to do is call us.
Here's
a word from the gospel of Mark.
Jesus looked at them and said,
with man it is impossible,
but not with God.
