Coming up.

View the works of the Sistine Chapel
without booking a trip to Rome,

Hey.

Gives me the shields.

Then he had music royalty
in his blood. Grown.

Up in the Cassidy was its
own unique experience.

And cocaine in his veins.

My heart started uncontrollably
pounding outta my chest.

Jack Cassidy shares the story of his rise,

fall and rebirth.

God was literally breathing life into me.

On today's 700 club.

Well, welcome to the 700 Club,

to alleviate a little bit of
suffering in some small corner of the

world. Well,

those are the words that set one American
couple on a journey to a remote part

of eastern Africa.

This couple has dedicated their lives
to serving the poorest of the poor.

George Thomas traveled to Kenya
to bring us their inspiring story.

I traveled some 7,300 miles

to this remote outpost in northwest
Kenya to find out why a group of African

medical professionals working with
American missionary doctors would

choose a life of selfless service

to bring desperately needed medical care
to one of the poorest regions of this

country.

Sitting on the mountain of Mount Sinai,

he's gone back to where it all began.

I discovered why in fairly short order.

Everything you do, you do it
as unto the Lord God, glory.

That plus a deep desire to demonstrate
the saving and healing ministry of

Christ to this community.

You feel very, very fortunate
to be able to do what we do.

There's nothing else
that we would rather do.

Americans,

bill and Laura Rhodes moved to
this corner of Kenya to work at

Capar Mission Hospital.

That was a close one. That was.

A close one located
near the Ugandan border.

The 140 bed Christian hospital
opened its doors back in

1963 when Bill and Laura Rhodes moved

to this part of Northwestern
Kenya getting up to the Mission

Hospital. I guess we'll have to wait for
the cow to pass the road. There we go.

Get, getting up to the mission
hospital was no easy task. Why?

Because, well, you had to
traverse, uh, across roads like,

uh, this, I mean the dirt path.

It was not like it is now.

It was so much more rustic and rural

and isolated and difficult to, to reach.

Rhodes who had no medical background was
pursuing a master's degree in biblical

Hebrew in Jerusalem when he and his
wife picked up two Christian medical

students hitchhiking through Israel.

Bill said, so why as believers
do you wanna practice medicine?

And the answer of one of those young
medical students whom we've never seen

since, never even knew his name,

changed the trajectory of our.

Lives. He said,

I would just like to see if I couldn't
alleviate a little bit of suffering in

some small corner of the world
someday. In the name of Jesus.

That set roads on a 16 year
odyssey with numerous setbacks in

preparation for a surgical career that
would change the lives of the African

continent. You failed to get
into med school three times.

Did it not dawn on Bill Rhodes that maybe

I should try something different? I mean,

maybe plumbing or architecture,
maybe be a lawyer.

Just because you decide to do
something that you think will honor

God or be pleasing to God or be
helpful in moving the kingdom of

God forward doesn't mean that
you have a guaranteed easy path

to get there. In fact, you should
probably buckle up tight because it's,

it's probably going to
be challenging. When.

Bill and Laura moved, uh,

here to Kenya in January of 1999,

some 23 years ago,

they knew without a shadow
of a doubt that this was a

lifetime commitment to serve the people
of this country, but more importantly,

to come to a region of the
nation that had some tremendous

needs. And today, bill, his team,

his wife and children are all committed
to serve the people of Kasir and

beyond.

When we see the staggering

disparity in this world
of the people who have,

and those on the other end who have not,

the disparity is only growing
wider. And for all of our days,

however many we have,

we want to try and bring
healing and wholeness.

In recent years, Dr.

Rose's vision to bring medical care
has gone beyond the valleys that

surround kasir to include other
countries. So for example, he,

along with his wife and members
of the Mission Hospital,

often travel to countries like
Liberia, Chad and South Sudan.

Accompanying him is Kenya Thomas
Kip to who heads up Capsu an

status department.

Kip Toe came from a very poor family
and a missionary doctor acting as

a mentor urged him to
pursue the medical field.

I couldn't imagine that I could come all
the way to this position at the moment,

looking back, I never had any a future.

But since I believed in God and
I'm a product of our missionary,

this is why I have become what I am.

Dr.

Roger's passion is to train and
equip the next generation of African

health professionals. 36 year old Kenyan,

Patricia Chik has worked closely
with Rhodes in the last three years.

He's going to live a wonderful
legacy. He's left, um,

his family, all the comfort
that he could afford,

but he's given of his life of
himself to come and serve here.

So for me, it's really humbling.

Dr. Rhodes is honored with the
A m h Gerson la Heim Prize for

outstanding Christian
Medical Missionary service.

The annual prize comes
with a $500,000 award,

which will go toward the hospital
surgical work and training.

He envisions the opportunity to train
and raise up whole surgical teams,

not just surgeons, but
anesthetists nurses,

to go to these hard places where
he's now going just, you know,

periodically and go and stay there.

You wanna spend the rest of
your life either here, uh, in,

in northwest Kenya or
somewhere on the continent.

Yeah, this is the end
of the rainbow for us.

Very few people get to do really
what they really want to do.

And we are,

we bless God every day because
we know we actually are in that

little minority that actually is getting
to do exactly what we want it to do.

George Thomas

c News Cap Kenya.

Well, you can be part of
that little minority. How?

By just following what God tells
you to do when you do life his way

and according to his design. And
here's a wonderful prayer for you. God,

can I be part of your plan? Well,

then you'll find that you walk into
things that satisfy the desires

of your heart, that it's something
you've wanted to do all along.

We'll be right back with more of
the 700 club right after this.

Imagine being able to enjoy the beauty
and wonder of the Sistine Chapel

right in your own city.

People in more than 60 cities across
the globe can do exactly that.

A traveling exhibit is giving visitors
a unique look at Michelangelo's

vision of the creation. CBS's
Gabe Lamonica has the story.

When Michelangelo brought the
Bible to life some 500 years ago,

it's hard to imagine.

He thought his masterpiece on the ceiling
of the Sistine Chapel would ever make

its way from the Vatican to a
shopping mall in Richmond, Virginia.

But here we are, the
agony and the ecstasy.

In 1965,

Charlton Heston's portrayal of a
33 year old Michel Angel Bonati

transported the Sistine Chapel
to the silver screen. He.

Wanted to pay banished.
He was first created.

Now a roving global exhibit is
bringing visitors face-to-face with the

Italian artist's visualization
of the book of Genesis.

It's almost as if we're looking at God
creating the world beginning of Genesis.

And we're seeing the the kopia, the,

the richness of God's creation unfolding
in front of us from Adam's creation.

That.

Gives me the shields.

It truly gave me anxiety to see how

closed, but not quite
touching their fingers. Were.

Showing that tangible space between
man and God to the downfall.

A pained look banished from paradise.

Soon Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel,

the exhibition will hit 80
cities bringing to life nine

scenes from the Bible. Tiffany,

I feel like you are living proof that
you don't need to know anything about

Michelangelo or the Sistine
Chapel to appreciate his parents.

Absolutely. Which is your favorite?

So my favorite one is over here
in the ancestors of Christ Room,

there's a guy in the back that's, um,
back here. You won't be able to see that.

60 feet up in.

Italy.

No need for a deep background in art
history to appreciate this masterpiece.

Many of them say that they were,

weren't able to see the
ceiling clearly because it was

so high up,

or they didn't have enough time
to really look at the ceilings.

The cracked fresco shown in vivid
relief, even revealing the great flood.

C the which Noah built at
the instruction from God.

A level of access to the world famous
paintings that even connoisseurs can

appreciate. We've been once and
you haven't never forgotten it,

and it astonished you when you saw it.

I think I've been 55 times in my
life and it never fails to astonish

me. Every time I go in.

Professor William Wallace has written
eight books on the sculptor turned

painter.

Michel Landro is an artist who goes
from zero to 60 in less than a second.

He just is capable of
undertaking monumental tasks and

carrying them out so that suddenly the
artist who's never ma painted a fresco

paints the most important
fresco in the world.

Some of the brass tack the vault is
nearly seven stories high with some

5,000 square feet of painting
and even on a curved ceiling,

Michelangelo achieves a
three-dimensional effect.

The technical challenges
are, uh, are astronomical.

And it's just amazing how well he solved
all of them. The first being, you know,

how do you get a scaffold up there?

But then how do you paint 14 foot
seat seated figures that are 14 feet

high, that are on that curve,

and yet make 'em look like they're
just properly proportioned and seated,

not in some kind of mirror-like
thing? Yeah, yeah. Like, no,

it's like it could have been like, it
could have looked like a house of mirror.

A funny mirror. Yes. Yeah, exactly.
House of Horrors instead of horror,

the awe of God.

Would you have painted there? My
son? He's not a portrait of God.

It's a proof of faith.

Whether religious or not,

this image of God creating man is
the ultimate symbol of the creation

story. That's the legacy.

Michelangelo left when he created one
of the most famous works of art in the

world. Gabe Monic, CBS n
News Richmond, Virginia.

Well, if you ever get a chance to go
to Rome and actually see it in person,

you'll walk away absolutely
astounded. But here,

not 60 feet away, looking
up, craning your neck,

but right there in front of you,
all the detail come to life.

If you'd like to have more information
on the Michelangelo exhibit,

just go to CBN news.com. Terry.

Well still ahead, A member of the
Partridge Family's extended family,

David Cassidy's nephew, Jack,

stay tuned to see how he's
becoming a star in his own right.

And then up next, a
matter of life and death.

This young woman's vitals were
crashing and her brain was swelling.

See the mad rush to the hospital
and the miracle that saved her life.

Plus, we're gonna be
praying for you after this.

An hour long drive made in 25 minutes,

Tanya Morrison's father drove 110 miles
per hour to get her to a hospital.

That's because Tanya's doctor had
given her just one hour to live.

I was terrified that the thought
of her dying in an hour's time is,

uh, something to be concerned about.

Tanya Morrison and her husband Paul,

have been attending church with her
parents, Duane and Kay for years.

That Sunday, their pastor had an
unusual and ominous message for Tanya.

And suddenly the spirit gave me
Tanya's name and said to Tanya

that the Lord was holding
her in the palm of his hand.

She was going to face some problems, uh,

in her life that she
really wasn't even aware.

Of. We just couldn't imagine
what it was gonna be,

and we did not know that within
24 hours that this would happen.

When I heard what Brother Walters said,

I thought it was amazing
blessing for Tanya.

I certainly didn't think it was anything
to do with a medical condition that she

had.

In 2017, Tanya was diagnosed
with diabetes Incipidus,

an uncommon disorder that causes
an imbalance of fluids in the body.

The day after receiving a
message from her pastor,

Tonya woke up not feeling well.

Her doctor was concerned about some
recent lab results and insisted Tanya get

another test. Then on her way home,

she became very ill and could barely move.

Her doctor called with Urgent News.

I heard the urgency in her voice. She
said, daddy, I need your help real badly.

I, the doctor just told me I
have water poisoning that, uh,

I need to get to the Murfreesboro
Hospital within an hour.

It is a matter of life and death.

I remember her using those
terms matter of life and death.

Tanya's father, Duane, who lives nearby,

swung into action and raced her to the
Murfreesboro Hospital to get her there.

Before it was too late.

I would look in the rear view mirror and
see my daughter basically unconscious.

And, uh, I was praying
for her and I'd say, Lord,

I know you've got her in
the palm of your hand.

And one of my favorite scriptures that
was coming to me either dwelled in the

secret place of the most high shall
Biden of the shadow of the Almighty.

And, uh, we knew that the Almighty
had our daughter in his hand.

They made an hour long
drive and just 25 minutes.

And when they got off the highway,

they hit seven green lights in a
row before arriving at the hospital.

They pulled up to the emergency
room. Uh, I opened the back door.

She was unresponsive in the back seat.
It was completely scary to see her.

Just unconscious.

Doctors determined that
due to her diabetes,

Tanya's sodium had dropped
to a life-threatening one
12 causing her brain to

swell and lose consciousness.

Nobody else had ever left the
hospital with her condition

alive is what they told
us. So we were, you know,

really praying for her. You know, just
praying for the Lord to take care of her,

to bring her back to us. And
we were not ready to lose her.

We were depending on the power of prayer
and knew that we were asking for a

miracle. And we knew we had a
lot of praying people that, uh,

could pray and that the,

the Lord credential prayer and that he
had all power and that he was gonna keep

her in the palm of his hand and
performed that miracle. We needed one.

I immediately thought back to the,

the words that Brother Walter
had spoken over Sunday. Uh, so I,

I felt comfortable. I I knew that she
was in God's hands and nothing could,

could really be bad. But I was concerned.

Over the next three days in the hospital,

Tanya's sodium levels came back to a
safe range. And she began her recovery.

When I came to,

I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt it
was the end of the Lord and that he'd

spared my life. And that
that was what Brother Walter,

when he had that word of
knowledge the day before,

I knew exactly that's what it meant
and that God had spared my life.

He came through for us that
time in such a magnificent way.

And we are so thankful that the Lord
demonstrated his power by saving our

daughter.

It was wonderful seeing her, knowing
that she was still alive. And I mean,

she was a miracle. She was a miracle.

I think one of her favorite songs is, uh,

I can't even Walk without
You holding my hand,

referring to the hand
of the Lord. And Paul,

her husband had her one hand
and the Lord had her other hand.

I'm thankful that God carried us through
that and that he gave me a life with

Tanya.

Tanya remains thankful for God's
encouraging word that provided a source of

hope during a terrible situation.

It's hard to describe the gratitude and
the love you feel and just knowing the

love he has for you, that he did this.

He spurred your life for a reason
and now he has your life, you know,

in his hand. And he had me
in the palm of his hand.

It's just a miracle because you,

when you watch how it played out
and that the day before in 24 hours

from the time that was
spoken by my pastor,

I was in the backseat of that car
hanging on to life and how he can turn

that around and heal you.
And it brings glory to him.

And that's what's, you know, important.
You know, it was all for his glory.

He had a plan and it
was all for his glory.

I love the tender heart of God that
he gave that word to their pastor,

that they,

they could stand on that in the midst of
what was a really difficult situation.

Some of you are standing today in the
midst of very difficult situations

and we want to stand with
you. God is not just gracious,

he's powerful,

and he loves us in a way that
extends that power to us,

in our place of need when we come to him.

And so let's do that together
because when we join together,

there isn't our unity. Uh, just a,
an opening of the doors of heaven.

God's heart is open to us at that time.

We wanna pray for you today to further
enhance your faith. Before we pray,

here's a word from Nicole. She
lives in Baltimore, Maryland.

She was experiencing chronic urinary
tract infections while watching this

program a few months ago, Gordon,

she heard you say someone is suffering
with kidney problems and urinary issues.

You are going to be healed immediately.
She knew you were talking about her.

She started crying and thanking God.

She called to tell us that she's
not had any infection since,

since she is praising Jesus
for that healing. Yay.

For 17 months, many of San Antonio,

Texas suffered with daily headaches,
some of which were severe.

Her doctor prescribed pain medication,

which helps some watching
the 700 Club. Terry said,

there is someone who is having headaches.
God is healing. You receive it. Now,

many immediately claimed her
healing and she started crying

for weeks. Now she hasn't
had any more headaches.

She can't wait to see her doctor to
tell 'em all that God tell 'em that God

healed her and she gives all praise
to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

You can give that same praise. Psalm
91 is for you. It's a Psalm of Moses.

And Moses knew a lot about God
and he begins it with he who

dwells in the secret
place. How do you do that?

How do you dwell in the secret
place? Well, you just come to Jesus.

He's the secret. He's the
answer to every human need.

You'll dwell under his shadow.
You'll, you'll be, you'll be with him.

And then here's a great
illustration from that same psalm.

He'll cover you with his
feathers, with his wings.

Get that image.

It's the same image that Jesus used when
he prayed over Jerusalem. Oh Jerusalem.

I wanted to gather you as
a hen, gathers her chicks.

When does a hen do that? When
there's trouble? You know, come,

come and and come on underneath our
w my wings and I'll protect you.

I'll be with you. But then
at the end of Psalm 91,

here's some great I wills,
I will deliver them.

Isn't that great? These are
the I wills of God. They're,

they're wonderful to memorize,
to know that it's his will.

I will deliver when, when you call,

I will answer. It's one thing to pray.

It's another thing to pray,

believing that you'll get
an answer on that long ride.

And it had to be a long ride to the
hospital that Father was believing for an

answer. He was praying
Psalm 91 over his daughter.

The pastor had given them a word.

They were holding onto the word
because they knew that the word would

sustain them. That they would
get an answer to their prayer.

They weren't praying some ritual thing.
They weren't praying with no faith,

no expectation.

When you pray with the
promise of Psalm 91,

I will answer them. Isn't that one?

You have the answer to every human need.

So Terry and I are going to agree with
you in prayer. What do we ask you to do?

We ask you to demonstrate that
you're going to get an answer.

That you believe that,

that you're going to cry out to
God and he is going to answer you

in an act of faith. Cuz faith
can be a verb in an act of faith.

Lay your hand on that area of
the body that needs healing.

Terry and I will join
with you. The Bible says,

when two or more agree touching anything,

it shall be done for them by my Father
in heaven. These are the words of Jesus.

Ask and it will be given to you.
These are the words of Jesus.

Seek and you will find,
knock. It will be open to you.

When you call to him,

he will answer you because
that's his promise.

Let's believe it. And
let's ask him right now,

Lord God almighty, we come to
you. We come to you believing.

And now for everyone who is
reaching their hand on that area,

the body that needs healing,

we join with them in
agreement now touching

it.

We declare over them that
the time is fulfilled.

The kingdom of God is at hand.

We believe the good news
we receive. Your salvation,

your deliverance, your healing.

We perceive every promise
that you have for us now.

So in Jesus name, I say
out loud to my own body,

be healed Now, sickness,
disease, infirmity,

pain, depart from me.
In the name of Jesus,

from the top of my head
to the souls of my feet,

I am healed now by the
stripes of Jesus Christ,

he is restoring me. He's
giving me new energy, new life,

new vigor. In Jesus name.
I receive all of it now.

And I give you praise and
thanksgiving for what you've done for

me. Terry. God's giving you something.

There's someone you have a condition.
Um, it's very grave actually. You,

you're developing these
tumors that are just,

they're visible like it's disfiguring.

Those are melting away.

Jesus is healing you right
now from something that is un

untreatable. God is healing that just
begin to praise him and receive that.

There's someone,

you've got a weak heart muscle and
you're not getting full compression, uh,

on your heart. And as a result, you're,
you've got, um, swelling in your,

particularly in your feet, particularly
in your right leg, your right foot, um,

and God is restoring your heart and
he's restoring your circulation.

And in Jesus' name, may everything
with your vascular system may,

everything with your heart muscle may
everything with every single valve,

every chamber in Jesus name,

be healed and be made whole.

New energy is coursing through
you right now. New vitality,

new oxygen levels.

Go back and get checked and give
praise to God for what he's done for

you.

Yeah, someone else. You have a
problem with oxygen levels and you're,

you actually get at the
base of your fingernails,

almost a grayish bluish color.

God's healing that
condition for you right now.

Just breathe deeply as your lungs
completely open up and your body is able

to process all of that appropriately.

Uh, there's someone, you, you've had
some kind of discharge out of your, um,

left ear. I don't know if
it's, um, spinal fluid or,

or or just from an infection. But you,

you'll know it because I'm saying
discharge from your left ear.

God is healing that right now. Thank you.

Whatever that condition is in Jesus'
name, be healed and be made whole.

And someone else, you have a, an issue
with chronic sts in your eye. I mean,

it's just, you hardly get one
healed and another one is present.

That whole thing that's out of balance,

out of order is being made
right now in Jesus' name.

Some with recurring eye infections.
And God is healing your eyes,

cleansing you from all that bacteria,

everything that's wrong
with it in Jesus' name.

Be healed and be made whole.
Lord God, we thank you.

We thank you for all
that you're doing for us.

We receive everything and every
promise that you have in Jesus

name. Amen. If you've
been healed, let us know.

Let us share in your good report.
Just give us a call, 1 800 700 7,000.

And if you need prayer, let me remind
you. Ask. And it will be given.

Seek and you will find knock
and it will be open to you.

That's why we believe in prevailing
prayer. The prayer that doesn't give up,

give up until you get the answer.

So if you want someone to stand
with you in prayer, call us.

One eight hundred seven
hundred 7,000. Terry.

Well still ahead. The
grandson of Hollywood royalty.

Jack Cassidy talks about his stint
in the spotlight on the voice.

Find out what happened when his dream
of winning the contest was dashed

and then also ahead.

A baby's life is in constant danger
and her mother has no way to afford the

brain surgery. Her
daughter needs to survive.

See how this mom turns to prayer
and watch the miracle that

follows bats coming up.

Heaven Light is a little girl with a
glow about her that matches her name.

Her mother is devoted to her.

Yet not long ago heaven light was
in constant danger every single

day.

When Heaven Light was two months old,
her mother found a bump on her head.

As time went by, it grew bigger.

When she plays,

I make sure she does not hurt
herself or bump her head.

She often touches her head
and says, mommy, get this off.

I realize how dangerous it was
and went all over to find out.

The plates in her skull didn't
fuse the way they should have.

So she's had fluid from
her brain accumulate here,

just under the skin left
untreated over time,

her brain would eventually start to grow
through that hole and she'd probably

develop mental disabilities.

When I learned Heaven
light needed surgery,

I lost all hope because I couldn't afford,

I worried for her future because
daily activities are dangerous for

her.

I prayed God would make a way for
us because there was nothing I

could do.

Heaven like's Mother kept searching for
help and learned about Arusha Lutheran

Medical Center, a hospital
supported by Operation Blessing.

We soon arranged and paid
for Heaven Light surgery.

She recovered completely.

I am so relieved and at peace now.

Afterward she felt her head
and said it is gone now

and smiled. She will be
able to go to school safely.

She can interact and
play like other children.

Thank you to everyone who
helped make this possible.

You have changed our lives.

And that thank you goes
all the way to your home.

If you're a member of the 700
Club because you made it possible

because of your faithful giving.

We're able to have these centers around
the world where Operation Blessing can,

can help people in need. We're
able to distribute medical care,

we're able to distribute food,
disaster relief, clean water,

all because you care enough to
give. If you're not a member,

I invite you to join with
us. It's real simple.

All you have to do is call us one
eight hundred seven hundred 7,000.

Say I wanna become a member of the
700 Club. How much is that? Well,

it's just $20 a month. That
breaks out to be 65 cents a day.

Some of you can give at higher levels.

We have 700 Club Gold for you
and we have a thousand Club,

which is a thousand dollars a a
year. That breaks out to $84 a month.

If you're already a 700 club member,

Well,

coming up next a fall from the
voice that sent this singer into a

cocaine fueled addiction,

find out who he called for help and
what he learned about coming clean.

Jack Cassidy was 17 years old when
he was selected to be a contestant

on the Voice.

He was in his element and
convinced he could win it all.

So when Jack was cut from the contest,

his dreams were dashed and his life
was soon hanging in the balance.

I did one line that night that was
too much and I felt my whole body

start to shut down and go cold.

And my heart started uncontrollably
pounding outta my chest.

Jack Cassidy is the grandson
of actress Shirley Jones.

He grew up in a musical
family with his dad,

Patrick and his uncles
David and Sean Cassidy.

Growing up in the Cassidy's was, was
interesting. It was, uh, you know,

it's definitely, it's it's
own unique experience.

My parents tried to keep me very,

very grounded and really
instill what was important,

which is just normal family life and love.

And mom sent me to a church
camp called Forest Home.

She thought me and our family needed
Christ cuz we were going through

some rough stuff. And she's like,
hopefully my kids can find Jesus.

That summer he encountered the
unconditional love of Christ at camp

and gave his life to Jesus.

I just said yes. But from there my
prayer became a prayer for evidence.

And over the next few years, I just
got flooded with those evidences.

Jesus showing up in very
miraculous ways in my life and,

and giving me peace in the
midst of chaotic circumstances.

And just definitely affirmed for me that
there was power in the name of Jesus.

In high school. Jack was a talented
singer and worship leader. When he was 17,

he was selected to be a
contestant on the voice.

Jack was thrilled to have
a platform to share Jesus.

I had never done anything in the
music business before. And, you know,

trying to succeed on that show or when
that show was definitely the goal.

It was like, oh, I definitely belong here.

I was working with other artists and
working with the coaches and it was like,

this is, this is where I fit in. This
is, this is who God created me to be.

Jack's time on the voice
took him to the top 12,

but his dreams of winning it all
were dashed. When he was voted off.

I let that show get the better of
me, and I just got caught up in,

in that world. Uh, so when things
returned to a state of normalcy,

it was a,

it was a much bigger fall and I guess
I was chasing that high again and,

and I was allowing myself to let my
Christian guard down and went to a

lot of parties and interacted
with a lot of worldly type things,

which was temporarily soothing.

The depression and the fall from that
show that I was, that I was experiencing.

At one of those parties, Jack
was introduced to cocaine.

From the first time I tried cocaine,

I got pretty instantly
hooked and started to become

every day, all day.

And it completely destroyed
my life in every aspect.

It, it drained my bank account completely.

It made me start to steal
just to, just to get,

just to get drugs.

For the next year and a half,

Jack isolated himself from friends and
family as his drug addiction took over

his life.

Found a new batch of drugs
that was just a lot stronger.

And I did one line that night
that was, that was too much.

And I felt my whole body start
to shut down and go cold.

And my heart started uncontrollably
pounding outta my chest.

And it felt like it was, it was
right on the verge of a heart attack.

And I felt like I, I couldn't
really call the ambulance or,

or get any help.

Alone. And desperate,

Jack remembered the power of Jesus name
he experienced earlier in life and cried

out for help.

Even though I had buried God
really deep in that season,

I hit my knees in the midst of
that full-blown chaos and I just

cried out to him and asked him

To let me lift to save my life in a
moment of total, total brokenness,

total dryness did not deserve
to be saved. I got myself here.

I felt the spirit come in in that moment
and completely overpower the chaos

and the drugs that I'd put in my body.

And the drugs were warring against
me trying to make my body shut down.

But God was literally breathing life
into me. His power in my spirit,

in the midst of all that is what was
keeping me in a place of real peace and,

and calming my heart down and,
and keeping me literally alive.

Jack realized how far he had fallen
from the calling he once had.

After that experience, it
really exposed what cocaine was.

It was not a friend, it was not a
helper to get me out of those places.

It was leading me to a place of death.

And when Jesus showed up in such a
radical way in the midst of that,

it really made it really real and
tangible that he was the way to

life. Jesus showed that, no, I'm,

I'm the Lord over that and I can be
Lord over all these things in your life.

So it really established this,
this deep rooted trust in God.

Jack has been free from drugs
since 2018 and shares his deep

appreciation for God's love in his music.

Jesus. I'm learning, let go

show me how I'm.

He is willing to meet us in
whatever place that we're in.

And that varies for everyone. For me,
the darkest moments I walked through,

he wanted to meet me and
redeem me in that place.

And he came with a spirit of kindness,
a spirit of love and a spirit of,

I just want to help you. And,

and he's willing to do that in
whatever scenario people walk through.

That's an odd thing, isn't it?

We almost have to unlearn what's
taught us from the time we're

small, which is pick yourself up,
dust yourself off, get moving.

You've got this.

But when we come to these
places in our lives as adults,

we're the rubber meets the
road and we are not enough.

Where do we go? Where do we go? You know,

thankfully Jack's family
had invested some time and,

and uh,

sending him places where at an early time
in his life he did find out about the

power of the name of Jesus.
Because it really does change.

Everything really does
change everything. You know,

in us there's,

there is this thing that
has to continually be
surrendered to the Lord that

says, I can do this. You know,
let me, I can manage this.

And it's for some of us,

sometimes it's a survival technique
that we wind up getting caught up in.

But for the most part,

until you know how trustworthy
Jesus is beyond that,

that he has always had a plan
and a purpose for your life.

And it's your choice to
tap into that. You know,

as difficult a journey as
this was for Jack, really,

it was a gift from God to him to come
to the place where he had to surrender

and let go of all that.

He knew how to manage and control
in his life and say, Jesus,

I'm crying out to you. And he
was right about what he said.

You know, he didn't deserve to have
Jesus do a thing for him. I mean,

his life was a mess. He'd
gotten himself into that.

He'd made choices that backfired
and that really were costing him his

life at that point. You know,

you can't earn the love or the presence or

the power of God. There is
nothing you can do to earn that.

But you can call upon
the name of the Lord.

You can call out to him in
your misery, in your lostness,

in your panic, in your sickness.

And God will be present
with you. It's who he is.

It's not about who you are.
It's not about what you've done.

It's not about having some kind
of a spiritual ability to tap into

things. He wants the real you.

He wants you just to call upon
his name because like Jack,

you know, there's power
in the name of Jesus.

I don't know what you're facing
today. Could be many, many things,

but the power in Jesus' name
never changes. Never changes.

Will you call on him today to come
right into the midst of whatever you're

dealing with and to make a difference,
to give you, first of all, salvation,

you need it. We all do. We're
sinners in need of a savior.

Call upon the name of Jesus. Just
say, Jesus, come into my heart,

my life. Teach me your
ways. Forgive my sins.

Fill me with your Holy
Spirit. He will come.

We leave you today with these
words from one Peter five, seven.

Give all your worries and
cares to God for he cares

about you. Thanks for joining
