(theme music)

- [Announcer] The followingprogram is sponsored by CBN.

- [Wendy] Coming up,churches are being torched.

- [George] Reduced to rubble overnight.

- [Wendy] And this isn'thappening in the Middle East,

it's happening right next door.

- 10 Churches, one city, one day.

- [Wendy] What's behindthis spate of burnings?

- [Levant] They werescapegoated for the pandemic.

- [Wendy] And why are Christianscaught in the crossfire?

- No one willing to stand up for them

because that's not politically correct.

- [Wendy] On today's "700 Club".

- Welcome to The "700 Club".

Ladies and gentlemen, we'vegot a special program today.

I want you to think of this;

God almighty sends an angel to you,

and he says to you, this angel,

"I will give you thesecret to robust health,

to a long life, to dramatic weight loss

and to a happy, happy existence."

And you will ask yourself,I want what that angel has.

Well, I wanna introduce youto the angel, Lorie Johnson.

- A new survey released this week

shows president Biden's approvalfell 10 points since June

from 62% to 52%,

as the government pushes newvaccine and mask mandates.

Tuesday, the president calledfor tighter restrictions

to combat the highlycontagious delta variant.

- All federal workers mustreport their vaccination status

or be subject to strict requirements.

I directed my administration to take steps

to apply similar standardsto all federal contractors.

If you wanna do businesswith the federal government,

get your workers vaccinated.

And I also directed the Pentagonto look at adding COVID-19

to the list of vaccinationsthat are required for our troops

- While COVID cases are reaching levels

not seen since February,

vaccinations are also up24% in the last two weeks.

That pushes the totalnumber of vaccinated adults

past the 70% mark.

Now, however, more vaccinated people

are testing positive for COVID,

although most of these breakthrough cases

avoid hospitalization and death.

While a majority of doctors say

vaccination offers the best protection,

another layer includesa strong immune system.

80% of our immune systemresides in the intestines,

home to trillions of bacteria.

Doctors say too muchbad and not enough good

can lead to pre-existing conditions

that put COVID patients at greatest risk.

- A altered microbiome

causes blood pressure,causes auto-immune disease.

I am convinced that itcauses heart disease

and certainly is a major causeof diabetes and pre-diabetes,

and this unbelievable obesityepidemic that we have.

- [Lorie] On the other hand, building up favorable bacteria

can lead to a long and happy life.

One new study out of Japancould have found evidence

to bear that out.

It compared the intestinalmakeup of 160 centenarians,

average age of 107, tothat of two younger groups;

One aged 85 to 89, andthe other, age 21 to 55.

Turns out those who liveto age 100 and beyond

appear to have a special gut bacteria

that produce byproducts whichhelp ward off infections

that the younger folks didn't carry.

- Well, a lot of people don'treally connect gut health

to immunity and also to brain health,

but they're totally interconnected.

- [Announcer] Psychiatrist, Daniel Amen,

says the so-called gut-brainaxis along the vagus nerve

means, for better or worse, our microbiome

directly affects our mood.

- When it becomes unhealthy,

we're sadder, we're more anxious

and we don't fight offillnesses like COVID-19

nearly as effectively as ifwe have a healthy microbiome.

- [Lorie] So while the Coronavirus pandemic rages on,

health experts say there's nobetter time than the present

to strengthen our immune system.

Step one, build a better gut.

- Well, the angel I spokeabout is here with is, Lorie.

The secret the angel had, that's going to give health,

happiness, long life, andcertainly reduced weight

is all found in the (indistinct).

You don't have to goup to heaven to get it,

it's in your gut?

- Absolutely, and you wereso right when you said,

God put these wonderfulthings on our planet for us.

And, you know, there areseven areas in the world,

they're called, blue zones.

And they are areas in the world

that have high concentrationsof centenarians,

people who live beyond age 100.

There's only one of themin the United States,

Loma Linda, California.

I went to Loma Linda andinterviewed all the centenarians,

and you would've thoughtthey were in their 70s,

but what's their secret?

They are vegetarian, primarily.

Sometimes they'll eata little bit of fish,

but they're very into the thingsthat God put on this earth.

And they talk about how in the Bible,

it says that God put all these fruits

and vegetables on earth,

and these are the types ofthings that build up your gut.

- All right. Well, now let'stalk about the gut biome;

What exactly is it?

- So the gut microbiome islike a little ecosystem.

Think of a forest,

so you have all these differentkinds of animals in there,

and if it's healthy, ifan ecosystem is healthy,

these things are allkeeping each other in check.

So you have the good microbiomes

are keeping the bad ones in check,

and so it's this wonderful balance.

But if that microbiomegets out of balance,

in other words, if too manybad bacteria start taking over,

that's when you start having problems.

- We've got this, what is it?

Crisis of obesity.

What is causing thisobesity, is this part of it?

- Absolutely, 100%, and thereason is because of the food.

So I talk to diet experts,I talk to doctors,

I've been doing it for 13 years now.

By the way, the obesitycrisis has gotten much worse

and every person I've ever spoken to

about why do we havesuch an obesity crisis,

they all say one thing;

It's our food. It's the food that we eat.

It's our food chain.

And it's because so manypeople eat processed food

more and more and more.

In fact, 80% of most people's calories

come from processed foods,

and these are very bad for the gut.

- All right, you gotthis little gut biome;

How many of these littlecritters do you have?

Are we talking about billionsor trillions of them?

- Trillions of them, and verymany different species too.

And they say that the amountof bacteria in our gut

makes up about two pounds, there are that many.

They're very prevalent,

and so what we want are a diverse amount,

lots of different types, and a lot of them.

So think of a garden;

You wanna plant alldifferent kinds of things,

but you also need to fertilizethat, you need to water it.

And a lot of people run into problems

when they'll put the good bacteria in,

let's say they take a probiotic,

but they don't do anythingto feed the good bacteria

in their gut.

Remember, these are bacteriaand they're living creatures

and they need food.

And if you don't feed themthey will not flourish.

- All right, let's lookat this stuff you've got.

Let's say somebody who'swatching this program,

and he says, you've got my attention;

I wanna be healthy, Iwanna live a long life,

I wanna have happiness in mylife, I wanna lose weight.

All right, let's start;

What do you do to help that guy?

- All right, so you wanna make sure

to put those good bacteria in there.

- All right.

- So the foods and things thathave the actual live bacteria

that you wanna put in your gut,

are called probiotics, probiotics.

Now you can take a probiotic supplement.

I take this supplement, but believe me,

there are lots of them outthere that are very good.

You wanna get one that hasa lot of different types

of bacteria, a wide variety.

- There's a 100 billion littlecritters in it, 100 billon.

- Right, and this iswhy I like it so much,

but people don't haveto get this exact one.

There are a lot of great ones out there.

But also it's a great ideato have some foods and drinks

that contain these live bacteria.

Yogurt is a great choice aslong as there's no sugar in it.

You have to watch out, someyogurts have a lot of sugar.

Just get the unsweetened plain kind,

and if you wanna jazz it up a little,

put some blueberries in with it,

that'll sweeten it up a little bit.

Now here's something called kefir,

which is basically like drinkable yogurt.

It has wonderful probiotics, the live bacteria.

This is another powerhouse.

Most of the experts that I speak to

about wonderful things to eat and drink,

to put good probioticsin your gut is this.

It's a version of kimchi.It is a fermented vegetable.

And there are many, many, many different varieties

of fermented vegetablesin the grocery store.

This is something I put onmy salad every single day.

- It says kraut.

I mean, the sauerkraut is...

- Great thing, sauerkraut is fantastic

as long as it's in therefrigerated section.

When it's been pasteurizedand it's in the can,

the good bacteria have been killed.

- Well, just this morningI had bran for breakfast.

Bran, it feeds the littlefellows. They like bran?

- They do like bran, andit's because bran is fiber.

The good bacteria in our gut love fiber,

and so bran has fiber in it.

- I fed the little fellows this morning.

(both laugh)

- And they're happy, they're thanking you.

- They're happy. What's that?- Another good thing that...

This is called kombucha,

a lot of people have probably heard it.

It's pretty good, it alsohas the good bacteria in it.

So these are the things thatput the bacteria in your gut.

But as I just got donesaying, that's not enough.

You have to feed them fiber.

So as you said,

I mean, we could talk all hour

about the things that have fiber in them,

but this is another somethingthat I take every day.

And the reason I do it

is because so many of thesehealth experts recommend it.

- [Pat] Psyllium.

- Yeah, this will keepyou regular, right Pat?

This is good stuff.

I only take a teaspoon of this a day,

but it's wonderful fiber.

This is flax seed, groundflax seed, wonderful fiber.

Now try to have any kind of leafy green,

but probably the bestas far as a prebiotic,

are dandelion greens, and thenalso asparagus (indistinct).

These are all called prebiotics.

Prebiotics are the types of foods,

and you can even getprebiotic supplements,

but the prebiotics are whatthe bacteria love to eat.

You have to have prebiotics

if you're gonna keepthose little guys alive.

- So, you wanna keep thoselittle fellows happy,

and, how about oatmeal?

Is oatmeal good?

- That's good fiber,

as long as it's not thekind that's in the packets

with a lot of sugar.

- I like the old fashioned.

- Yeah, rolled oats. Yeah, that's good fiber too.

- All right, so you've gotbran, you've got psyllium husk,

you've got asparagus, andyou've got leafy green, okay.

- But anything in the producedepartment has fiber in it,

so all of those things are good.

And it's nice to kind ofmix it up a little bit.

- All right, now that's the good stuff.

Now, what are people doing all the time

to destroy these friendlybacteria in the gut biome?

- So I've asked many experts about this,

and there are tons ofarticles on the internet too,

from experts who say,

you know, the worst thingyou can do to your gut

is unfortunately, take an antibiotic.

Now antibiotics save lives,

sometimes antibiotics are necessary.

And so this is whereit gets a little dicey

because antibiotics are goodwhen you really need them.

But the problem is they'reoverprescribed too many times.

- Every dentist for example,

you got an infection in the tooth,

so they give you antibiotics which kills,

it kills those little fellows in your gut.

I mean, it kills them dead, right?

- It absolutely does.

And so, for example, Ihad surgery in February

and my doctor made me take an antibiotic

ahead of the surgery just in case.

And I was like, "I really don'twanna take that antibiotic.

Do I have to?"

And he said, "Yes, you do,

because you could get an infection

and that would be a lot worse

than having your gut microbiome ruined."

But when doctors areprescribing antibiotics

for viral infections, that'swhere we run into problems

because antibiotics donot cure viral infections

they only cure bacterial infections.

And a lot of times whenyou go into the doctor

and you have cold like symptoms,

they'll just give you an antibiotic

on the chance that it mightbe a bacterial infection

when actually it'sreally a viral infection.

- Well, how about little babieswho are given antibiotics,

just standard stuff,

it would mean they started life

without the gut biome appropriate.

- Right, I feel bad, mydaughter's in that category

because she used to haveear infections all the time.

So she was on antibioticsconstantly for like three years,

because she'd get over an ear infection

and she'd get another one.

And that was standard care, was to prescribe antibiotics.

But the thing is, Pat,

before we start gettingmad at these doctors,

this is new information.

- [Pat] Yeah.

- You know, back in the 1990swhen my daughter was little,

we didn't know this,

we didn't know thisabout the gut microbiome.

This is new stuff.

- All right, let's talk nowabout the things people do

to hurt themselves.

Of course we know antibiotics,

but people drink a lot ofdiet Cokes, diet Pepsis,

that sort of thing.

What does this do to them?

- So we know sugar is an enemy of the gut.

It's very, very bad,

it's one of the worst things you can do.

But also people say, "Oh good,

well then I'll just have the fake sugar."

Actually that's worsebecause the chemicals

that are in these artificial sweeteners

actually cause an overgrowthof the bad bacteria.

So some of these gut expertsthat I've spoken to say,

actually, sugar is better thanthese artificial sweeteners,

but really you should do without both.

- I used to take Sweet N Lowand I realize that's terrible.

Sweet N Low is bad.

- [Lorie] I know.- Yeah.

- I used to have a lot of bad habits too.

- But I mean, to think of the things

that are offered as sweeteners

that are so-called low calories.

- Right, and so we justneed to tell people

those artificial sweeteners are unhealthy.

They're bad for your gutmicrobiome, very bad.

- I use Stevia. Steviadoesn't seem to hurt you.

- Stevia is not as bad as faras your gut microbiome goes,

but the problem with Stevia isit just kind of makes you...

The more sweet you have on your taste buds

the more you're going to want them,

but you seem to havea lot of self control.

I'm one of these people who ifI have a little bit of sweet,

I can't stop.

I think I'm a sugar addict.

So I'm kind of these people

that has to go off it completely.

- All right. Well now people, for example,

the diet Pepsis and these other things,

they think they can drink them

because they're lowcalorie and that's okay.

- That's right. And actually,this is really interesting;

Studies have shown thatpeople who drink diet drinks

actually gain more weight,

and it's probably becauseit stimulates your urge

and, you know, your pleasure center,

and it makes you want sweet.

And so you'll eat more sweets.

So diet drinks are...

You know, a lot of peoplehave are addicted to soda

and really have a difficulttime coming off of it,

and I wanted to say that alot of health experts say

go to the bubbly seltzer water,

because a lot of people drink sodas

because they like the fizz,

and you can have seltzer waterwithout the dangerous sugar.

- Now you've got all these things here;

This is hamburger healthy.

- Wait, don't call it hamburger healthy,

it's the opposite of that.

- This is mac and cheese, that'sa standard for many people.

- Yeah.

- What's the deal on that?

- The deal on those,

is those are perfectexamples of processed foods.

A lot of people are like,

you keep talking about processedfoods, what do you mean?

I'm talking about sortof like pre-made foods,

foods like this that havealready been partially

or all the way made for you.

They have lots of ingredients.

Look at the ingredients on the package,

and if the ingredients,it's a very long list,

and if you can't pronounce half of them,

that's a red flag.

And so there is very little tono fiber in processed foods.

And that's where we run intoproblems, is the lack of fiber.

Another thing, Pat,

is people look at foods that are processed

and they don't seem sweet,

but there's actually sugar in them.

They're these additives that they put

into even foods that aren't sweet,

that have the same effecton your body as sugar.

We could go on and aboutsome of these additives

that people put into food,

but they're almost all really unhealthy.

- There's one thing that you pointed out

that I didn't realize,

this is something for acid.

People who have got acid stomach

and they usually take Prevacid,

what are some of the others that they...

- The other antacids, prilosec,

but these are the antacids.

And they're very bad for you, long-term.

And by that, I mean longer than two weeks.

Doctors say don't takethem longer than two weeks.

- What does that do to your gut biome?

- Well, it takes away theacid. It reduces the acid.

And the acid is something that helps

keep your microbiome balanced.

And also when you don't haveenough acid in your stomach,

your stomach doesn't break downthe food the way it should.

And so some people take theseantacids like candy for years.

And also, Pat, aside from the problems

with the gut microbiome, theyhave been linked to dementia.

So people should really try to avoid

certainly using those antacidsfor more than two weeks.

- Someone's having a birthday

and it looks like that's a birthday cake.

What is this?

- That's an example ofsugar, just flat out sugar.

Too much sugar is very, very bad for the gut.

It causes the bad gut bacteriato grow out of proportion.

- Well, the deal is, as I understand,

once the good bacteria isoverwhelmed by the bad bacteria,

the bad bacteria isthen telling your brain,

up through the vagus nerve,"Feed me, feed me, feed me."

So it sets up a cravingfor those sweet things,

is that right?

- It absolutely is right.And that's a huge problem.

I actually interviewed adoctor in New York City

who helps people with sugaraddiction, that's a real thing.

I think I'm a sugar addict. How do I know?

It's when I have a littletiny piece of sugar,

I cannot stop, I really can't.

I mean to only have just one cupcake,

just one piece of cake, I can't do it.

I've noticed that you can,

and you've told mebefore you have one piece

of dark chocolate every day.

I can't do that, I will eat the whole bar.

- That's good for your blood pressure.

- Yeah, one piece, not the whole bar.

So anyway, he said theway that you go off sugar,

like he was saying that,

having so much sugar makesyou want more and so...

- You've got bad bacteriataking over your gut,

so that gut is talking again to your mind.

- Absolutely. And so ifyou can push through,

and again, this is somuch like other drugs,

if you can push throughthat withdrawal period.

Three days, you know, whereyour body's screaming,

I want sugar.

If you can do it, the cravings stop.

And I'm here to say, I'velived through this before.

I mean, there have beendays that I've thought

I could never go without sugar.

And I hear people say this,

"I could never go withoutsugar or white bread."

But you think that,

but if you go withoutit for like three days,

you'll stop craving it.

- You're talking about pasta,

you're talking about white bread,

you're talking about all kinds of cereal,

every cereal, the Cheerios, and all those,

they're loaded with sugar.

- They are, and I'm reallyglad you pointed that out.

Because anything that's pretty much white,

like white bread, or white pasta,

your body reads that as sugar,

your body responds to itas if it was just sugar.

- Well, the thing that we're talking about

is your immune system,

about 80% of your immunesystem is in your gut.

So this keeps you...

And you mentioned that survey they did,

I think in Japan, of centenarians,

and they found that thegood gut brought forth

some chemicals that kept these bad things

from hurting (indistinct),

could you talk about that a little bit?

- So what we know is thatthe way this all works

is these bacteria producecertain things, chemicals,

and they respond different ways

depending on which bacteriaare producing them.

So remember what makes bacteria so good

are the things that they produce.

Remember we feed them, and thenafter that they produce it,

just like we eat things and then produce.

So that's what we're talking about.

And these bacteria they produce things

that have been shown tohelp people avoid disease.

What's interesting isthat we want to have a lot

of different types of bacteria,

and this exact strainthat was so prevalent

in these centenarianswas missing in the guts

of younger people.

So we want to try gettingback to the probiotics,

we want to try to introducea lot of different kinds

of bacteria into our gut.

So in other words, don'tjust have yogurt every day,

mix it up, have some kimchi.

They also have fermented beets, they have fermented carrots,

I've seen fermented lemons, you can make it at home.

I was making my own kimchi for awhile,

my house looked like a sciencelab but it was really fun.

But you wanna have a lot ofdifferent variety of bacteria.

- You know, the thing of itis, when people are sick,

I mean, we're talking about80% of your immune system.

It's not just COVID,it's all of the diseases

that come on human beings.

I mean, you look at these people

and you see advertisementsfor various types of medicine,

on people whose intestines,

you know, irritable bowelsyndrome and all that,

it's all caused becausethe gut aint working right.

- I've spoken to someexperts on the microbiome,

and they say a lot of intestinalproblems that people have

are because of thiscondition called a leaky gut.

Years ago, many doctors weresaying that's pseudoscience,

there's no such thing as that.

But now the research is bearing that out,

that if you continuallyabuse your gut microbiome,

the lining in your intestines

starts to have a big holes in it

and things can get out of your intestines.

And then your immune systemthinks that they're foreign

and starts attacking them

and starts attackingother things in your body

that look like them, like your thyroid.

So basically this leaky gut syndrome

is causing a lot of people to be sick,

especially having GI problems.

So the way to cure a leaky gut

is obviously to increase your gut health.

But some say that alsocollagen is a really good idea

because collagen is reallywhat makes up a good portion

of the lining of our intestines.

You can get collagen assupplements, or also bone broth.

I make my own bone broth athome, I drink it every day.

- I listen to this stuff,

you know, these medicines they sell,

and irritable bowel syndromeand all these things,

and I think most of it hasto do with this gut flora.

And ladies and gentlemen, Ijust don't want you to die.

And I want to keep youlong, and old, and healthy.

And you're looking at somebodyright now who's 91 years old

and just going strong,

because I look after myself,

I pay attention, you know?

And we have a little book,

and when we offered this the last time,

it was the most popularthing we have ever offered

to this audience, andwe give it to you free.

It's called, "How To Build A Better Gut".

And all these principles

that Lorie has been talking about,

about antibiotics and meat.

When you look at sugars behaving badly,

read the fine print on allthe things that you eat,

and what we eat, fermentedis fine, et cera.

We'll give this to you free.

You don't have to pay a penny for it,

just because it's our serviceto you, it's 1-800-700-7000.

And Lorie, as our angelhas come from heaven

to give us the answer,

you know, they said, whohas to go up to heaven?

The answer is inside of you, that God has placed within you

the secret of health.

The secret of health arethese little critters,

trillions of them insideof your intestines.

If you got the right onesthey're gonna keep you healthy

and keep you young.

And I don't know about thosethings that the Japanese study,

but I don't see any sense in...

I don't see any end, I mean, you just keep on going.

I mean, Moses hit 120,and I'm going for Moses.

- Yes, I know.

Well, you're going strong

and I've never known anyone as disciplined

about their diet as you, andso you're quite an example.

I have good days and bad days,

but you seem to have all good days.

- For example, they put thesegrowth hormones into meat,

into chickens, and so you buy the meat

and you're buying some of these hormone.

So I make sure that we get,

the meat that I eat is from Whole Foods,

they take that stuff out.

You've gotta be careful, you've gotta to read the label.

My wife had a problem and shewas eating these Cheerios,

and I looked at the thing andthe amount of sugar in it.

I mean, they have three kinds,

they've got sugar, andthey've got high fructose,

corn syrup, and they'vegot something else.

And you look at the percentage of sugar...

Read the labels, folks.

You are responsible, and Iwant you to stay healthy.

And Lorie, an angel has come among us

with a treasure from heaven.

- Glory to God.

And I've just had a lot of...

A lot of these experts that I talk to

are always talking about theimportance of a healthy gut.

But I will tell you, Pat,I wanna just reiterate,

that doctors are notsaying this type of thing

should be instead of a vaccine,

but rather in addition to the vaccine.

- Yeah, okay.- Yeah.

- All right, "Build A Better Gut".

Again, the number is onyour screen, 1-800-700-7000.

Or you can do cbn.com, it's a free booklet

and you really need to get it.

Stay healthy, stay well.

We got a lot of otherthings on this program,

but God bless you.

Thank you, Lorie.

- God bless you, and thank you.

- Wendy, what you got next?

- Wow, such great information you guys.

Well, up next we've gotdozens of churches in Canada

being torched and radicalactivists are yelling,

"Burn it all down."

So why are Christians being singled out

and why are others cheering it on?

Find out after this.

(upbeat music)

- "Burn it all down!"

That was the rallying cry of one activist

in the wake of a string ofchurch burnings across Canada.

43, get that, 43 churches were hit,

10 of them in one day in one city.

So what's behind this blastof fury against Christians?

Is it connected to the discovery

of hundreds of unmarked indigenous graves?

And why is no one standing up

for the churches under persecution?

George Thomas brings usthis alarming report.

(dramatic music)(clock ticking)

- [George] Just after3:30 AM on July 19th,

in the Canadian city ofSurrey, British Columbia,

Steven Faltas, awakens aftercalls from an alarm company

and fire department aboutan incident unfolding

at his church.

- When I got to our church,it was a very difficult scene.

- [George] Video shot bya neighbor around 4:30

shows St. George CopticOrthodox church, fully engulfed.

Faltas is a board member at the church.

- The street was completely closed,

approximately four or five fire trucks,

all fighting the blaze, police cars.

The scene was quite dramatic, surreal to be honest.

- [George] It's the latest ina string of arson or vandalism

against churches across Canada.

- They hit 43 churches,

and 10 were hit in asingle day in Calgary.

10 churches, one city, one day, shocking.

- [George] Those 10 incidentshappening in Alberta Province.

(fire crackling)

- [Greg] A pillar of the communityover a century years old,

reduced to rubble overnight in a blaze.

- [George] Where an officer

with the Royal CanadianMounted Police tells CBN News,

they have deemed the acts as suspicious.

- We are actively looking for suspects

so that we can hopefully

hold those who committedthe acts accountable

for the damage and theturmoil that they've caused.

- [George] Calgary police releasing photos

of several suspects wantedin their investigation.

- When a faith community istargeted for vandalism or arson,

it not only impactsthose directly affected,

but leaves others in thesame faith, feeling unsafe.

- [George] The arson andvandalism follows revelations

of hundreds of unmarked gravesat former boarding schools

for indigenous children, many, which were Catholic run.

After the discovery, churchesbegan to burn across Canada.

And although most of the churches attacked

have been Catholic,

several non-Catholic congregationsalso suffered damage.

- It's tragic that churches

are being caught inthe crossfire of a long

and difficult political process

that we as the Orthodox communityhasn't been involved with.

- [George] While Canada'sprime minister, Justin Trudeau,

calls burning of churches,an unacceptable response

to the unmarked indigenous graves,

conservative talk show host, Ezra Levant,

says any comments fromCanadian national leaders

to the church attackshas been tepid at best.

- You've got churchesunder attack all around,

and frankly no one willingto stand up for them

because that's not politically correct.

If these were mosques or synagogues

they'd have 100 champions,but Christians, I'm afraid,

are the last acceptable group in Canada

to discriminate against evenwith violence and arson.

- [George] Levant saysthe other side, however,

has been brutal at times.

For example, the recenttweet, "Burn it all down,"

that led to the resignationof Harsha Walia,

leader of British Columbia,Civil Liberties Association.

- This activist seemed to be saying,

if you're a Christian youdeserve to be burnt and scared

and picked on, by virtueof your Christianity.

- [George] Levant sayspoliticians have used churches

that stayed open duringthe pandemic as scapegoats.

- In the province of Alberta,

three different pastors were jailed

for refusing to close their church.

Churches were demonizedas super spreaders,

they were scapegoated for the pandemic.

It was reminiscent oflanguage that was used

against the Jews inGerman 80 odd years ago,

that they're disease carriers, they're infecting society.

- [George] Members of St.George's recently held a vigil

outside their burntchurch vowing to rebuild.

Faltas told CBN News that he has a message

for whoever destroyed theirbeloved place of worship.

- The only thing that we cansay to those perpetrators

as Christian believers is, we forgive you.

But we'd obviously would love

to have our church still standing,

but at the same timewe're strong believers

that although today maybe a day of mourning,

God will provide and tomorrowwill be a day of joy.

- [George] George Thomas, CBN News.

- I am amazed that Trudeausays it was unacceptable.

Of course, it's unacceptable.

You know, you cannot burn down churches,

I don't care how manygraves from some past year

about Indians, or indigenouspeople as they're called.

We cannot allow this kind of thing,

and the worst we can'tallow is another Holocaust.

We cannot have this kindof thing in our society.

So it isn't a question ofsaying it's, "unacceptable",

of course it's unacceptable.

But the government shouldmove in quickly and stop that,

that's what they've got police for,

they've got Canadian Mounted Police.

They're pretty good people, get them on the job. Wendy?

- Amen. Well, up next;

A horrific crash leaves one passenger

with a traumatic brain injury

and a body that was shutting down.

So how did this womanmake a complete recovery?

See the story that her medicalteam is calling miraculous,

later on today's "700 Club".

(bright upbeat music)

- Bruce Ausink, caughtat the moment of despair;

His wife was in a coma, her brain was bleeding,

and her body was shutting down.

So what did Bruce do?

He made a Facebook post thatled to a miracle. Watch this.

(calm music)

- [Narrator] Bruce And HelenaAusink were driving down I-95

through a rainstorm on theway to a family reunion

in July, 2018, when their carhydroplaned and hit a tree.

Bruce and their three youngdaughters weren't hurt,

but Helena was knocked unconscious.

- At that moment, everything changed.

I knew that she was seriously hurt.

I did not panic.

I just right away like opened her mouth,

listened for her breathing, checked her pulse.

I felt a faint pulse.

She began to take gasps, kind of like intermittently.

- [Narrator] As Bruce heldhis wife's head still,

another motorist called 911.

Moments later an ambulance arrived.

Helena was intubated

and rushed to Nash EmergencyCare Center in Rocky Mount.

- I think they were concerned right away

about her making it.

I just remember justconstantly asking God,

you know, petitioning the Lord,

saying, "Father, protecther, be with her."

- [Narrator] Time was critical.

But with a medivac crewgrounded due to weather,

she had to be taken by ambulance

to Vidant Medical Center inGreenville, North Carolina,

over 40 miles away.

By then she was in acoma and on a ventilator.

- They explained, she's hada traumatic brain injury,

her brain is swelling, herbody's shut down because of that,

'cause it's trying to self preserve.

She was non-responsive.

So that wasn't a good sign.

And it was at that point

that I was in the moment of despair.

- [Narrator] Doctorsput Helena on medication

that would keep her sedatedand allow her brain to heal.

Meanwhile, Bruce sent out acall to prayer over Facebook;

Friends and family fromall over the country,

joined with him to pray.

- I was very, very concernedthat she wouldn't make it,

or if she does make it,

what level of functionalityis she going to come back to?

I didn't know or have any idea

what the future looked like at that point.

- [Narrator] After a few days,

the swelling in Helena'sbrain had gone down,

and doctors began weaningher off the sedatives

to see if she would regain consciousness.

- You know, with her beautiful personality

it was extremely difficult to look at her

and reflect upon where she is right now

versus where she was.

It would just prompt me to pray.

- [Narrator] After a weekthey took Helena off the vent.

- And so for that hour and somechange, it was just amazing.

And I felt such victory in that moment.

Then she started likestruggling to breathe

and it was like a coughing type thing.

And they had to put her backin, I was there for that,

and that was an emergencyactually, to put it back in.

And so that was anothervery difficult time

because here I thought we wereon the fast track to success,

and then we're put rightback where we were.

- [Narrator] In fact,it was looking worse.

Doctors scheduled a tracheotomy

to insert a tube in Helena's windpipe

to get her off the ventilator

and allow her lungs and airway to heal.

But her loved ones didn't give up.

- That became the big prayer focus;

Let's pray that she can beextubated and not have a trach.

- [Narrator] Then, the daybefore the tracheotomy,

doctors decided to try one more time

to take Helena off the vent.

- When it was successful, itwas just huge prayer support.

- [Narrator] But Helena stillneeded prayer and healing.

When she was transferredto Riverside Select

specialty hospital forrehab, four days later,

she still couldn't speak or walk.

And doctors weren't sure ifshe would ever fully recover.

- Her Glasgow coma scale, which is a scale of severity.

The best you can get is15, and hers was three

at the initial scene, which is totally impaired.

- When I first started taking care of her,

she couldn't talk.

She was in the bed, had restraints on,

she had a feeding tube in her nose.

- [Narrator] Then just twodays after being transferred;

- I walked in her roomand I said, "Hey girl."

And she said, "Hey," inthis little raspy voice.

She didn't know my name,

but she knew exactly who I was.

- When I came, the first thing I'd say,

go over close to her and give her a kiss

and say, "I love you."

One time she said, "I loveyou too." It was so faint.

And I just exploded.

I was like, "Yay!"

- By day five, she was walkinga little bit with a walker,

getting up and down to thechair, following commands,

having short conversations.

- [Narrator] After justover three weeks in rehab,

Helena went home.

- It was just beautiful to have her back,

and to have her back in the kid's life.

- The biggest thing is thatI was thankful I was alive.

And so I was just so grateful for that,

that I was there for them.

- [Narrator] Nine monthsafter the accident,

Helena completed a 5k run

while five months pregnant.

Later she gave birth to ahealthy baby boy, Josiah Lee.

- Most people have some sort of deficit,

Helena does not have any deficits.

She drives, she exercises,

she probably could runa marathon tomorrow.

I mean, that's just kind of how she is,

and that's how she wasbefore the accident.

So it's pretty miraculous.

- Without prayer, without a miracle,

she wouldn't be functioninglike she is today,

or may not even be here.

- Whenever I met someonewho would come and say,

"We prayed for you afteryour car accident,"

I would say, "Thank youso much for your prayers.

Your prayers moved the heartof heaven on my behalf."

- I love that,

your prayers moved the heartof heaven on my behalf.

Here's some answersthat have come into us;

This is by email, a man named Santiago.

He says, "I've been out ofwork since the 7th of July.

I have back issues, spine, nerve,

I've been standing word.

I was watching the "700 Club"

and Wendy said," There's aman with lower back problems,

touch your back."

I did, and tears flowed.I felt heat in my back.

I praise the Lord! Hehealed me in Jesus name!"

- [Wendy] Amen. Here's one;

For almost a month, Tondaof Rochester New York

suffered from significant shoulder pain.

While watching the "700Club" she heard you say, Pat,

"Somebody has what is called bursitis.

It's in your shoulders.God is healing you."

Tonda claimed the word andher shoulder pain disappeared.

She's felt great ever since. Praise God.

- Folks, I believe in the power of God,

and I want you to believe with us.

And Wendy and I aregoing to join in prayer

right now for you.

And all I ask you to do is realize,

it's by faith, it's not by works.

So don't say I'm unworthyto have a miracle,

we're all unworthy to do anything.

But with God, all things are possible.

And Jesus said, "Hitherto youhave asked nothing in my name,

ask and you shall receive."

Why? That your joy may be full.

God almighty wants us healthyand he wants us happy.

We're going to join hands, please pray with us.

Father in Jesus name,

how we thank you for themiracles we hear about,

how we thank you for the glory of God

that comes down to this earth.

Lord, we're all unworthy of your love,

we're unworthy of the joy of the Lord.

But we believe you Lord,

and nothing with God is impossible.

Thank you, Lord.

- [Wendy] Thank you, Lord.

- Somebody named, it's likeMichelle, I believe it is.

You're on a neck brace right now,

just touch your neck andthat whatever has been wrong

with your muscles in your neck

are healed in Jesus'name, touch her, Wendy.

- There's a woman, and you areso afraid of catching COVID

that you will not even leave your house,

and you're a believer.

And God is telling youtoday to fear him not COVID,

because he is with youand he is your protection

and the blood of Jesus covers you.

So don't fear and justtrust God, in Jesus name.

- Somebody, you've gotsomething called (indistinct),

and you've got this terribleacid reflux and so forth.

(indistinct) in Jesus'name, heal you. Wendy.

- Thank you, Lord.

There's many people rightnow watching at home

and you have COVID andyou're in different stages.

But Lord, we just askyou to send your angels,

your ministering healing angels,

to touch everyone who's dealingwith this pandemic, Lord,

and that they will not haveanything lingering after.

When it's gone, it will be gone,

and we ask Lord for this in Jesus name.

- There's a ruptured aorta,

it sounds like it's critical.

I mean, this is the widow maker.

I don't understand howanybody who would have that

could still be alive,

but maybe you're in the hospital right now

and God is healing you.

But he's reaching in right now

and putting that aorta back in place,

in Jesus name, touch him.

Now, Lord, we pray for America. We pray for this world.

We know the crisis that we're in.

We see the hatred and the bitterness,

like these churches that have been burned.

We see all of the confusionin this terrible pandemic,

and all the fear that's there.

Lord in Jesus name, move among your people

and give strength to your saintsin Jesus name, touch them.

Thank you, Lord. Amen.

- [Wendy] Amen.- And amen.

Please call us, we love to hear from you.

Wherever you are, just pickup the phone and call in.

If you want another prayer request,

we'll be glad to pray for you.

1-800-700-7000, that's easy to remember.

And we're here for you. Wendy.

- Still to come;

Another round of yourquestions, honest answers.

Sarah says, "Hi, Pat,

I wanna know your thoughts on evolution."

Pat weighs in on that andmuch more, so don't go away.

(bright upbeat music)

Well, now it's time for your questions,

and Pat's honest answers.

We're starting with Theresa who writes;

"I am having a hard...

Teresa writes, "I'm having a hard time

releasing my anger towards my landlords

of past hurts they'vedone and said towards me,

my children and husband.

We've been a good family, renting for the last 20 years.

Every year our rent is raisedfrom $850 to $1350 now.

We were going to rent to own,

and then they changed the price on us.

I am angry over all ofthis. What should I do?"

- The Bible says, "Sufferyourselves to be defrauded."

And, you know, life istoo short to waste it

being mad at about a few bucks, you know?

God is able to provide multiple times

beyond what you are talking about,

and if you'll let him move inyour behalf, that will be it.

And the Bible says, when you stand praying,

if you have ought against them, forgive.

You cannot have a miracle

if you're going to hold agrudge against the landlords.

So they stuck it to you

with a few bucks on rent, tough luck.

If you don't like it, move.

But more than anything, look to God

and he will give you morethan you can understand.

He says, "The gold ismine, the silver is mine,

the cattle on a thousandHills is mine, I own it all."

And God can give it to you overnight.

So don't hold a grudgeagainst those landlords.

Yes, they were probably mean,

but maybe, maybe, maybethey had to raise the rent

because their expenses aregoing up you never know.

Put yourself if you can,

in the other man's position a little bit,

rather than just being mad, all right?

- Amen. Sarah writes, "Hi, Pat.

I wanted to know your thoughtson evolution. Thanks."

- I think the whole concept of evolution,

that everything has evolved

through natural processes defies science.

And I think we have just givenourselves over to evolution,

but this universe isabout 4 billion years old,

and Charles Darwin andthe people who he was...

The plants he was studying andthe animals he was studying,

are just a small piece.

And do you realize that theuniverse, at the big bang,

if it was off by 10 toa factor of, I think 30.

I'll get it right in a minute.

It's about 16 times or 30 times,

so it's 10 with zero afterzero, after zero, after zero.

If it's off a fraction,

we would either not be able to have life

or the universe would run out of control.

It's gotta be exactly that way,

and to think that that evolved.

The universe cries for life and a creator,

there's no question.

The universe was tuned for life

and I don't believe in evolution, okay?

- Okay. Here's Laurie;

She says, "My husbandand I will be married

40 years this October and I'ma firm believer in tithing.

My husband is not, he thinkstithing is a waste of our money

and I think I'm not tithing enough.

Am I tithing enough just off my income?

I feel guilty not giving more."

- Well, the last thing Godwants you to do is to be guilty.

The Bible says he loves a cheerful giver,

and so you pray that yourhusband will know that

he's missing a blessing.

And if you could show him thatthis is the way to be blessed

and you realize, "Give andit will be given unto you,

pressed down, good measure, running over,

will men into your bosom."

That's how to prosper.

And if you can persuade your husband

that he's missing a blessing,

and, you know, but in terms of you,

you give out of your income what you will,

and you believe the Lord, hewill bless you, all right?

- All right, good word.

Michelle says, "With allthat's going on in the world,

I worry so much for thefuture of my children.

How do we remain hopefulin these uncertain times?"

- You know, years and years and years ago,

when I had a little baby girl, this was my fourth child.

I looked at her and I said,

"What's gonna happen to that child?

What's gonna happen to herin this world to come?"

Well, she's in her 50s rightnow, and she's done very well.

Has a wonderful family, everything is good.

God looks after you, sodon't worry about it.

Trust the Lord and he willtake care of your children.

We leave you with this word from Psalms,

"God is our refuge and strength,

always ready to help in times of trouble."

From Wendy and all of us,this is Pat Robertson,

see you again tomorrow, bye-bye.

(bright music)
