(bright upbeat music)

- Well, welcome to theshow. Thanks for joining us.

Nearly one in five.

That's how many Americanadults have received

at least one COVID-19 vaccination.

What about children and teens?

And are the shots safe for them?

- And could expanding vaccinations

to the younger generationsbe a tipping point

in ending the pandemic?

Well, CBN medical reporter,Lorie Johnson, explains.

- A COVID-19 vaccine trial on children

ages six months to 12 yearsold is just beginning.

Meaning most kids thatage could get vaccinated

as early as 2022.

Trials on teenagers are well underway,

they could get theirsas early as this fall.

Christian psychiatrist,Daniel Amen, tells CBN News

expanding vaccinationsto children and teens

could clearly help in the long run.

- Well, I think over time, they could be very important

because even thoughchildren aren't getting

dramatically sick, theystill can spread the virus.

And the more we get on top of this

the sooner we'll get away from a pandemic

that has spawned a mental health pandemic

that is devastating so many people.

- [Lorie] Religious leaderswent public with their shots

at DC's National Cathedral, Tuesday,

to encourage the larger faith community

to help end the pandemicas soon as possible.

- As a believer and a scientist,

I can see the opportunityto use the tools of science

as a chance to be part ofGod's plan for healing.

The vaccines have in manyways, for many people,

been an answer to prayer.

They are safe and effective

beyond what we had a right to expect.

And yet they will not helppeople by sitting on the shelf.

- [Lorie] President Trump, who is now vaccinated,

recommends others follow suit.

- I would recommend it andI would recommend it to

a lot of people that don't wanna get it

and a lot of those peoplevoted for me, frankly,

but you know, again, we have our freedoms

and we have to live by that

and I agree with that also.

But it's a great vaccine.It's a safe vaccine.

And it's something that works.

- [Lorie] Meanwhile overseas, the AstraZeneca vaccine

is suspended in some countries

over the possibility that blood clotting

is linked to the shots.

All this during a surge in cases

some blame on lifting lockdowns too soon.

- They simply took their eye off the ball.

I'm pleading with you for thesake of our nation's health,

these should be warningsigns for all of us.

- Well, Lorie Johnsonjoins us now with more.

So Lorie, tell us about AstraZeneca.

Is it truly linked to blood clots?

- Well right now the juryis still out on that.

But the most important thing

about the AstraZeneca vaccine, Gordon,

it is not here in the United States.

A lot of folks aren't sure.

We know we have a lotof vaccines available.

AstraZeneca is not one of them.

So people in the UnitedStates do not need to worry

about the AstraZeneca vaccine.

We have the Johnson and Johnson vaccine,

Pfizer and Moderna.

So whether the AstraZenecavaccine causes blood clots,

the European health agencies

aren't definitely sure at this point,

but what is definite isit's not here regardless.

- Okay.

Well, let's talk about the other three

and I'm hearing some recent criticism

that Moderna and Pfizeraren't true vaccines,

that only J and J is a true vaccine.

What do you say to that?

That the others are just RNA technology

mimicking the protein, butit's not a true vaccination?

- Well, what we know about these vaccines

is they're absolutely safe and effective.

That people within the faith community now

are coming out in fullforce, recommending them.

The most reliable health sources

are saying that peopleshould get any one of these

three vaccines.

We saw Franklin Graham just this week,

come out and say that ifvaccines had been around

in Jesus's time, that Jesus himself

would have recommendedpeople take these vaccines.

And said his father, the late Billy Graham,

was a very staunch vaccine proponent

and if he were alive today,he would also get one.

So there's a lot of misinformation online.

There is a lot of informationbeing passed around

that is not true

and it's oftentimes verydifficult to decipher.

So we need to look atthe reliable sources.

Not only faith leaders,

not only leaders in health and medicine,

but also PresidentTrump came out this week

and said people should get the vaccine.

And we all know that thereare people who have said

I will do anything PresidentTrump tells me to do.

And so folks listen up,he said, get a vaccine.

- All right.

There's been a long history in America

of faith leaders getting a vaccine,

going all the way backto Jonathan Edwards.

He paid a price for his though,

but those were in the early days

before we knew from amedical science standpoint,

how to perfect it.

Let's talk about what happensafter you get a vaccine,

and for some of them afteryou get the second shot.

There's an ongoing debate,

do you now have tocontinue wearing a mask?

Can you be a carrier symptom free?

Tell us about that.

- Right, we saw a lotof fireworks yesterday

at a Senate hearing betweenSenator Rand Paul and Dr. Fauci,

and the question is, doyou need to wear a mask

after you've been fully vaccinated?

And right now the CDC and someof the leading health experts

are saying it's a goodidea to wear a mask.

We know for sure that youare not fully protected

until two weeks afteryou've been vaccinated.

It takes at the very minimum two weeks

for your body to ramp up andget those antibodies in place

so that you're fullyprotected after two weeks.

Some people, Gordon, ittakes them four weeks

to really ramp up andget all their antibodies,

and to be fully protected

because their immunesystems aren't as robust.

So as in an abundance of caution,

people are saying thatonce a month is gone,

you can get rid of your mask.

So then why do some health experts say

you should keep wearing it?

Because we don't know yet

whether that you can transmit the virus.

There is some reason to believe

that the virus can get inyour nose and in your throat

and live there.

And even if you've been vaccinated

you're not going to get sick,

but you can cough it or sneeze it

and get it on other people.

This is problematic

if you're around somebody who's high risk.

So again, out of an abundance of caution,

they're saying if you'vealready been fully vaccinated,

if it's been a month since your last shot,

and you're around people whoare high risk, wear a mask.

So if you're in a grocerystore for example,

and you don't know if thereare people who are high risk,

or if you're aroundsomebody who is high risk

and hasn't beenvaccinated, wear that mask.

But you don't need to wear a mask

if you're around other peoplewho have been vaccinated.

So a lot of people thinkthat that is confusing.

Rand Paul said, wait a second,

the science isn't there thatsays you can transmit the virus

after you've been vaccinated.

And Fauci shot back and said,

yeah, well, the science isn'tthere that says you can't.

Right now we just don't know.

- All right.

Well, Lorie thanks for the update,

thanks for joining us today.

and get expert advice from Lorie.

Ashley?- Well, coming up

a husband is rushed to the ER.

He can't breathe and slipsin and out of consciousness.

- At that point, I kind of broke down.

I really had to considerthe possibility that

he might not make it.

- The diagnosis, asevere case of COVID-19.

Well, what saved his life?Find out right after this.

(bright music)

March 28th, 2020, Scott tested positive

for the Coronavirus.

The very next day he was on a ventilator.

Within a week, he was totally crashing.

So how did he survive? Take a look.

- [Angie] Scott was saying,I think I need to go

into emergency becauseI really can't breathe.

- [Reporter] It had been afew days since Angie Biltonen

and her husband Scott, developed COVID-like symptoms,

in March, 2020.

They weren't concerned becausethe number of COVID deaths

in the U.S. was still low.

Even after Scott wasadmitted to the hospital

with breathing problems, Angiefigured he'd be home soon.

- I thought they'll dothe chest x-ray on him

and he'll get the treatmenthe needs if he has pneumonia.

- [Reporter] Just two days later,

Scott tested positive for COVID-19.

He sent Angie an alarming text.

- He said, "They're saying thatI'm not getting any better.

And they're gonna have to move me to ICU

and most likely put me on a ventilator."

- [Reporter] By now, Angiehad also tested positive

for the Coronavirus.

Although exhausted frombattling her own symptoms,

Angie was more concerned about her husband

and she reached out to friendsand family to pray for Scott.

- To have friends come alongand breath the word of God

into you, and just come preparedto these prayer meetings

with scripture and words, was just incredible.

- [Reporter] Over the nextweek, Scott continued to decline

and was put in a medicallyinduced coma and on a ventilator.

Angie called the hospitalthree times a day for updates.

- And then I was placingan update on Facebook

and giving a lot of detailsso that people would know

what direction to prayand how to pray for him.

- [Reporter] On April 6th,

10 days after going into the hospital,

Scott started to crash.

The ventilator that had beendoing 60% of his breathing

was now doing 80%.

- At that point, I kind of broke down.

I really had to consider the possibility

that he might not make it.

- [Reporter] That same day,Angie called the hospital

and had a nurse but aphone to Scott's ear.

She prayed for him, playedworship music for him

and told him she loved him.

She also put an update on Facebook

and people immediately startedpraying and fasting for Scott

Overnight, his ventilatornumbers dropped to 55%.

- And then every day afterthat there was improvement.

- [Reporter] By nowAngie's symptoms were gone.

Scott kept improving, and six days later

he was taken off the ventilatorand brought out of his coma.

- I thought, okay, weknow he's gonna be okay.

- [Reporter] As the sedation wore off,

Scott regained his strength.

Angie and their three daughters

were able to FaceTime withhim to encourage his progress.

- I remember at one point thinking,

okay, that's my husband, he's back.

- [Reporter] They also toldScott about all the people

praying for him.

- I just had thoughts of like, you know,

what has my life added upto? What have I done with it?

Have I touched anybody?

Have I made a differencein anybody's life?

And

finding out that somany people went to bat

for my wife and for me,was greatly humbling.

- [Reporter] Then on April 24th,

Scott was transferred to rehab

where he continued to improve.

Two weeks later, Angie wasable to be with her husband

for the first time in 42 days.

- When I walked towards him,

he forced himself up and he stood up.

- I wanted to show herI'm okay, I'm doing good.

It's gonna be okay.

- It was wonderful.

I was so thankful to be ableto hold my husband again.

- It was just a very emotionalmoment for both of us.

- [Reporter] The next day, May 8th,

Scott was released to go home.

A few days later, he wassurprised by a drive-by parade,

celebrating his recovery.

Although he has a few lingering issues

that he controls with diet and exercise,

Scott says he's doing well

and enjoys time with his family again.

Scott and Angie know Godwas with them through it all

and has a purpose for their ordeal.

- It was ultimately to beable to minister to others,

to serve others, to loveothers, and to be a support.

- If the story helpssomeone that's struggling

or has gone through the same thing,

and just God using it forHis glory for His benefit,

to drawing people back toHim, renewing their faith,

if it's faded, that's whatI see God using this for.

God does answer prayer. AndGod is a God of miracles.

- He absolutely is the God of miracles.

He is the God who heals and delivers us

from whatever we are facing.

And there's power in prayingto the God of deliverance.

Well, we have receivedsome answers to prayers

on social media, and thisis Pamela from Facebook.

And she says, "I had spinal meningitis

when I was 11 years old and God healed me.

I'm 55 years old now, Godhas been so good to me."

Amen.

- I've got a great one.here's a viewer on Instagram.

"I've had right lower back pain for years.

I was watching yourshow on January 26, 21,

and my lower back and hipwere hurting worse than usual.

Gordon and Ashley werepraying for healing.

And then Ashley, the anointed one, said,

'someone is having lowerback pain on the right.

God is healing you.'

I claimed it and my painwent away instantly.

I had always wondered ifthat could actually happen.

When I put my trust completelyin God, it did happen.

He gave me a miracle!"

Ain't that wonderful?

God wants to do miracles for you.

That is amazing news. It's thebest news you've ever heard.

God wants to be your all in all.

He wants to be yoursavior, your deliverer,

your healer, your all in all.

All of it. He wants todo all of that for you.

Now, ain't that amazing?

You don't have to bargain with Him.

You don't have to beg.You don't have to plead.

You don't have to do any of those things.

Here's the secret, you have to believe.

Now, faith can also be translated, rely.

Ain't that great?

It can also be translated, trust.

That you've put yourself all in.

So often when we come toGod, we wanna put faith,

if you will, we're wonderinghave we prayed the right way?

Have we done the magic formula?

Have we done enoughgood things in our life

for God to pay attention to us?

You know, we're lookingfor these other things

and we're somehow, "I don'tfeel right coming to God."

All of these things interferewith relying on Him.

Lean into His promise. Leaninto the sacrifice of the cross.

Realize that by Hisstripes, you are healed.

Lean into that.

Don't rely on anythingelse, rely on Jesus.

Now here's a kicker foryou. And it really helps me.

Let Jesus be your faith.

Don't try to drum somethingup within yourself.

It's not based on your willpower.

Let Jesus be that too.

And when you let him be all of that,

well then miracles happenand He breaks through

all of your doubt and unbelief.

He comes to you as savior,as deliver as healer.

Let us do that right now andHe'll break through for you.

Let's pray.

Lord, we lift all in theaudience who have any pain,

any infirmity.

Lord we just declare overthem that you are the healer

and that by your stripes they are healed.

It's a finished work on the cross

and so we declare it finishedover their bodies right now.

And in Jesus' name, be healed,be set free from all pain,

all disease, all infirmity, right now be restored.

Let every cell in your body resonate

with the healing touch ofJesus Christ, right now.

Someone, you've got extremepain in your left elbow

and you haven't been able to extend it.

Right now in the name ofJesus, just extend it,

just lift that arm right on up

and realize God has healed you,

He's completely restored that joint.

Any fracture, any problem, any tendonitis,

all of that is gone rightnow in the name of Jesus.

Be healed and be set free.

Ashley.- There's somebody watching.

You have a heart condition.

You have an irregular heartbeat,

whether that's from a holein your heart or something,

God is healing that for you right now,

everything be regular,

you will not have pain in your chest,

you will not have anyabnormalities in your heart

and the way it functions.

Receive that now in the name of Jesus.

- Someone else, you'vegot deteriorating teeth,

primarily in your upper jaw on both sides.

There's been numerousinfections and bone loss.

God's able to restore bone.

He's able to restoreeverything concerning that.

In Jesus name be healed, be set free.

Someone else withrecurring sinus infections,

primarily over your left eye,

extraordinary pain and swelling.

God is healing and taking it all away,

restoring your immunity.

All that root cause is being rooted out

right now in Jesus name.

Be healed.

- Yeah, and God is able to resource sight.

And I believe that heis restoring the sight

to many right now, whetherthat it's because of glaucoma

or a degenerative disease in your eyes,

receive that right now.

Also blindness from diabetes.

God is healing that foryou right now, receive it.

Place your hand over your eyes

and receive the healing ofGod right now in Jesus name.

- Someone, you've gotproblems with acid reflux

and the cells in your esophagushave been damaged by that.

God is healing those cells.

He's healing, everything concerning

those valves properly closing.

All of that is being healedfor you in the name of Jesus.

Be restored, be made whole.

Lord, we thank you.

We thank you for your sacrifice.

We thank you for your love towards us.

For while we weresinners, you died for us.

We thank you for this.

We receive you now in Jesus name, amen.

And if you've been healed, let us know.

We wanna share your goodreport and tell others

to encourage their faith.

And if you need prayer,

we absolutely believein prevailing prayer.

That's the prayer that doesn't give up,

that gets an answer, keeps on knocking,

keeps on seeking, keeps onhoping until the promise is real.

If you want us to pray withyou, all you have to do is ask.

1-800-700-7000

Ashley.

- All right, well still to come,

another round of Q and A from you guys.

And a Facebook viewer asks,

"My two daughters Haven'tspoken to each other

in the past five monthsand it upsets my heart.

What can I do since they are adults?"

Well, Gordon will answer thatand more so stay with us.

(bright upbeat music)

All right, well I am herewith Gordon, the gifted,

and it's time to take somequestions from you, our viewers.

And we received thisquestion from Facebook.

This is Lynn, and she writes,

"I would like advice on a problem.

My two daughters haven'tspoken to each other

in the past five monthsand it upsets my heart.

I pray they can forgive each other.

What can I do since they are adults?"

- That's a great question.

And I think it's a greatquestion regardless of

they're still children or adults.

You know, in families, you'regoing to have arguments.

You're going to have storming off.

And then, you know, howdo you come together,

and how do you forgive?

You know, it's one ofthe hardest things to do,

is try to fix relationshipsamong other people,

because you're not part of that.

And assuming you're notpart of the division,

what exactly is the root?

You didn't tell me, butI would encourage you

that one thing you can do,

absolutely that willwork, is pray for them

and pray that they understand

and can come to a point of forgiveness.

The second thing I wouldencourage you to do

is give them lessons on forgiveness.

That if you hold unforgivenessand you hold bitterness

and you hold resentment, regardless of what it's for,

and you may be completely justified

in holding on to all of those things,

and you may be completelyright in your righteous anger,

realize that when you have bitterness

and unforgiveness in your heart,

you're literally poisoning yourself.

Medical science is teachingus that bitterness,

resentment, unforgiveness, these things absolutely can lead

to very serious medicalconditions called heart disease,

and inflammation and arthritis.

And all of these things can be caused

by literally how you feel.

So teach that to your children.

And that will make them more receptive to,

"Well now it might be timefor you to forgive your sister

and walk through that."

You want to have nice Thanksgivings.

You want to have nice Christmases.

You want to have nice Easters.

You don't want everybodyshowing up and still being mad.

So, you know, they're in it together

and it's one of thoselessons I was raised with,

that blood is very thick

and please take care of your siblings,

please take care ofeveryone in your family tree

because there's great strength from that.

And when you're in need andwhen life comes at your heart,

it's great to have greatfamily relationships

you can lean back into it.- Yeah, definitely.

I've taken some issues, you know, with family.

- You too, huh?

- Yeah.

I don't think any of us areexempt from family issues.

But no, I mean, I felt theLord tell me, bring it to me.

You might not be experiencingany change right now,

but bring it to me and see if it changes.

And I'm telling you guys

it was like a day later afterI brought it to the Lord

in prayer, it changed.

- Yeah.- So there's a testimony.

Do that.- Prayer works.

- Prayer works. Okay.- We believe in it.

- Yes, we do. All right.

We got a little bit of timeleft for one more question.

This is Mary from YouTube, says,

"I need help in prayerto receive the baptism

of the Holy Spirit.

I called the live interactiveshow many years ago

and you and Terry prayed for me.

But I still haven'treceived my prayer language.

I'm discouraged."

- All right, Mary, startlooking for the evidence

of the baptism in other ways.

I know there is somedoctrinal teaching out there

that the primary evidence of the baptism

is speaking in tongues.

But I've seen lots of evidence of baptism

where people did not speak in tongues.

And the apostle Paul even writes,"Do all speak in tongues?"

And the answer for himquite clearly is no.

So you're looking for aparticular manifestation

and start looking forthe other manifestations

to give you the faiththat you already have it.

I'm a believer that onceyou have the Holy Spirit

you get all the gifts

and the issue is haveyou been properly taught?

Look at a wonderful video thatHarald Bredesen put together.

It's called, "How to Receive the Baptism

and the Holy Spirit andShare it With Others."

I know we have it on cbn.com.

It may also be on YouTube.

Just look at Harald Bredesen.

It's a wonderful teachingand an activation

in how to receive your prayer language.

I encourage you to watch it.

It's all the time we have.

We leave you with this word from Jeremiah.

"Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;

save me, and I shall be saved,

for You are my praise."

(bright gentle music)
