- Well just again, Mike'smiracle pregnancy shows us that
God answers prayer andstill, people have questions
about prayer and God's timing.
Gordon, here's a question being asked,
how long should one persistin praying for something?
- I'd like to tell people, until you get the answer.
- [Terry] Yeah. (chuckling)
- You know, that's the key, just praying
without getting the answerdoesn't do anything for anybody.
- Yeah.
- But when you pray and get an answer,
it's that answered prayerthat gives God glory.
- Amen.- And that's why
He gave us this wonderfulparable about the importune widow
who went to the unrighteous judge.
But she knew that unrighteousjudge could give her
what she's looking for.
And so she pounded on hisdoor and then he finally said
to, all right, just to make so you
don't bother me anymore,
I'll give you what you're asking for.
And then he added to itso ask and keep on asking.
Seek and keep on seeking.
Knock and keep on knocking.
But don't make that some sortof, you know, prayer off it.
It's not through works,it's through beliefs.
- So what are some prayers that've been
answered in your life?
- Well, I think one of the biggest ones is
being healed of cerebral malaria.
- [Terry] I remember that.
- That one, I'm, I'm dyingin a hospital in Manila
and heard an audible voice behind me.
I don't know how, that was a concrete wall
so (chuckling) I don'tknow how that happened
but I heard an audible voice.
"Get up, get to workfor I have healed you."
And it was a series ofmiracles and a series
of things that happenedover a course of weeks.
But when that voice spoke,it was like every cell
in my body just sprung to life.
It was, it like I wasexpanded and rearranged
and put back together.
It was a really incredible experience.
So God answers prayer.
Here's a word of encouragementfrom Matthew chapter seven.
"Ask, and it will be given to you,
"seek, and you will find,
"knock, and the doorwill be opened to you."
