about what you want toknow on today's "700 Club."

(dramatic music)

- Well, welcome folks.

Today's a special day.

We've got your recorded questions.

We're gonna put it on,most of the program.

We'll be answering the questions

that came from the audience.

But first, the stock markethas soared after stunning news

in the fight against COVID-19.

Drug company, Pfizer,is ramping up production

of a vaccine reported to be 90% effective.

How soon would it beavailable to Americans

and what could it mean for our economy

and our return to a normal life?

Our medical reporter, Lorie Johnson,

is joining us right now.

Lorie, this vaccine, theysay, is 90% effective.

I understand that's betterthan the flu vaccine.

- Actually, it's muchbetter than the flu vaccine.

The flu vaccine, efficacyvaries from year to year,

but in general, it's about 60% effective.

This new COVID-19 vaccine has been shown

to be 90% effective.

The FDA said they wouldsettle for a vaccine

that was only 50% effective.

So this is really right up there

with some of our most effective vaccines.

I'm talking about some ofthese childhood vaccines,

such as for the measles.

And, Pat, you'll be happy to know

that this particularvaccine, the Pfizer vaccine,

is not made using a livevirus or even a dead virus.

It's made using this messenger RNA,

which is genetic material thattriggers an immune response.

The only catch aboutthe mRNA vaccine is that

it has to be kept frozen.

This genetic materialfalls apart if it thaws.

And so, you know, lots of dry ice

and great freezers need to be used

from the moment it's produceduntil it's delivered,

but that's not a problem.

And scientists have knownabout this all along.

So this is the Pfizer vaccine.

It looks like it's gonna be the first one

to cross the finish line.

Although there are three others

that are in the homestretch

and we've been talking about these.

The Moderna vaccine is likelyto be approved very soon.

This also uses mRNA and italso needs to be frozen.

Then there's the AstraZeneca vaccine.

This does not need to be frozen.

It only needs to be refrigerated.

All three of thesevaccines require two doses.

So you get a shot

and then three weeks lateryou get another shot.

And then the last vaccine

that's very close to beingapproved is Johnson & Johnson,

that's only one shot.

- The FDA has approved emergency use

of this new antibody drug, what do you know about that?

- Well, this is theone called Bamlanivimab

and this is the drugthat Chris Christie took.

You may remember, he wasdiagnosed with coronavirus

and went into the hospital right away

because he does have some risk factors.

He's over 55 and his weight is an issue

and he was given this drugand recovered right away.

This is an antibody drug,

and this is very similarto the antibody drug

that President Trump receivedthat was so very effective.

So this particular drug made by Eli Lilly,

it's an IV infusion, and it needs to be given

in the very early stages of the disease.

So if a person comesinto the doctor's office

and they test positive for coronavirus

and they have a lot of risk factors

then they go straight tothe hospital and get this.

And the results have beenremarkable up until this point.

- Thank you, Lorie.

You know, the peopleof Germany were asked,

"Why'd you hold this thing so long?"

And they said, "Look, wedidn't want to play politics,"

but it is a little strange.

But nevertheless, it's incredible.

This was developed under theadministration of Donald Trump

and he has a four star general in place

to get these vaccines outto the general public.

And in record time, all acrossthe country it's all set.

And as soon as we get clearanceand we can begin delivering,

they'll out up as manyas 50 million doses.

I think they're gonnastart with about 5 million,

but it's an incredible breakthrough

in this dreadful, dreadful pandemic.

Well CBN News FinancialEditor, Drew Parkhill,

is joining us now.

And, Drew, apparently themarket just loved this news

of this vaccine.

What's your take on it?

- You know, the fascinating thing, Pat,

was this impact on the marketwas very, very split up.

Let me show you what I mean.

Lorie talked about Pfizer, Moderna,

well their stocks yesterday,

we have a couple of graphics here,

their stocks yesterdaywere way up, obviously.

Pfizer is up nearly 8%.

Moderna was up a little over 7%,

'cause they're workin' on a vaccine, too.

But the spillover effectinto other stocks,

travel and leisure stocks,

we have a graphic about that as well.

Some of these stocks went way up.

American Airlines, Delta, way up.

Royal Caribbean, up 29% in a day.

Disney up.

The idea is here that eventually,

whether it's right away or later,

eventually people willstart traveling again.

They'll come out of their houses.

Their businesses will be back up,

the ones that have been closed down,

or at least slowed down temporarily.

So these were the stocksthat did really well.

By contrast, let's look at some of the,

what are called the stay-at-home stocks.

These stocks have doingreally, really well.

I mean, people werebuying things from Amazon.

They were watching Netflix.

They'd be using Facebook.

They, of course, used Microsoft Windows

and Apple for iPhones and so forth.

Those stocks had been doing great,

yesterday, they sold off.

Why?

Because the money went intoother stocks and people said,

"Okay, their day in thesun is kind of over."

So it had a bit of a mixed impact.

But the basic idea here is, Pat,

you've got to have a vaccine or vaccines

to reopen the economy again.

That's what Biden, who,you know, if he wins,

that's what he's talking about.

Trump would be operating the same way.

You're right, this was developed

under the Trump administration.

Whichever, whoever, isdeclared the ultimate winner

and is certified, they're going to inherit

what should be a good situation.

Now it may take a few years

or several months to work itself out,

but it looks prettypromising at this point.

- One last question, Drew,

I know your crystal ball prognostication.

You're not surprisedat the top of the Dow,

but you think the Dowmight go up to 30, 40, 50,

60, 70, 1,000.

- Well, you know, yesterday,

the Dow got very close to30,000 and then it turned back.

That may be resistance for a while.

And like I said, you know, Ihave expected a bear market.

We had one basically inthat really sharp sell off

from late February to late March

where the Dow went from 29,000 and change,

to just over 18,000.

Maybe that got the bearmarket out of its system

or maybe we're gonna havea few sideways years yet.

That's just a matter of timing.

Longer term, Pat, longer term,

we're just around, under 30,000 now.

Well, okay, in March of2009, we were at 6,500.

So in 11 years, 11 and a half years,

we've gone from 6,500, to almost 30,000.

So that's a gain of, you know, like 330%.

But to go from 30,000 to 100,000

the market would only have to go up 230%.

You see what I'm saying?

No doubt in my mind,

economic policy will playa part out of Washington.

But no doubt in my mindover let's say 15 years,

the Dow will go over 100,000.

I'd say within a little over 20 years,

it'll go over 150,000.

- Wow.

Our financial report, keep that in mind.

The joke used to be in the South,

save your Confederate dollars, the South will rise again.

(group laughs)

It's looks like-

- The Dow's definitely gonna rise

and the rest of the market with it.

- It looks like America'sgonna keep on rising.

Okay.

Don't bet against theFeds, that's the key.

The Fed has been pumpin' money like crazy

and don't bet against America

because this is the greatest country

on the face of the earth.

Wendy.

- It's so much more funwhen the market's going up.

You know?

- It makes you feel so much better.

You look at your IRA or whatever you got

and you say, "Hey, this looks so nice."

Okay.- Great stuff from Drew.

All right, up next, you called

and Pat's about to answeryour voicemail questions.

A special edition

of Your Questions,Honest Answers coming up.

(upbeat music)

(lively orchestral music)

Welcome back to a special edition

of your voicemail questions

and we're gonna to start with this one.

Our caller is named Marion

and she is from Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

Go ahead, Marion.

- [Marion] I have a question.

Ephesians 5:20, it says,"Giving thanks always

for all things unto God and the Father."

Now it says, "Givingthanks for all things,"

does that mean all thingsor just the good things?

(Wendy and Pat laugh)

- No, I think it means,Marion, exactly what it says,

"Give thanks for everything."

You know, Paul said, "Iknow how to be abased,

I know how to abound.

In all things and at all timesI know how to give praise."

And we thank God.

Look, sometimes the badtimes are the best, really.

I mean, when you're prosperingyou might, you know,

what does the Bible say?

You know, "Go to the house of mourning

not to the house of feasting."

And I believe in thankingGod for everything.

You know, (laughs) it used to be

if I was trying to drive a nail

and I hit my thumb with a nail, you know,

people would say, "Well, what do you say?"

I said, "Well, I say,'Praise the Lord.'" (laughs)

- All things work together for good.

- You don't curse.

No, you don't do it.

Okay, what's next?

- Here's a question fromKeith, from Houston, Texas.

- [Keith] Hi Pat, my name is Keith.

I was wondering what your opinion is

on what we're gonna be doing

during the 1,000-year reign of our Christ.

Are we gonna be in constant prayer?

Are we gonna be in constant celebration?

Are we gonna be working?

I'd like to have your two cents on this.

- You know, the Bible sayswe're gonna judge the angels.

So they're a whole lot of angels

and the saints will judge the angels.

I think maybe there's somany planets out there,

as our expert says,

there's a billion trillionstars the size of a sun.

So it may be, God willgive us a planet to rule.

I don't know.

There'll be plenty to keep us busy.

And the biggest thing iswe'll be adoring the Father

and we'll be in His presence, okay?

- Amen.

That's the best part.

- All right, here's aquestion from Mary Ellen

and she's from Culpepper, Virginia.

- [Mary Ellen] What does it feel like,

or is there a sensation whenyou receive a word of knowledge

from the Lord during prayer?

Is it a voice in your head?

A thought?

I think that I received a wordof knowledge during prayer.

I wasn't sure, but I acted on it

and it certainly seemed tobe the right thing to do.

- It's called a word ofknowledge and it's just that.

I mean, it's somethingthat is not available

with your senses,

it's just the voice of the Holy Spirit

saying that there's somebody.

I mean, you know, wehave seen more and more

as you get more into theactivity of the Lord,

you lean on Him say, "God,speak to me, say something."

And His spirit withinour spirit is speaking.

And I've had physical things, sometimes you begin to hurt

or sometimes there's a sensation,

but mostly it's justthe voice of the Lord.

Just the voice of the Lordwithin you, all right?

- All right, here's a question from Allan

from Apalachin, New York.

Here's Allan.

- [Allan] My question for Pat is

what was the hardest test ordecision you have had to make

in life and how did Jesus help you?

- Ooh, that's the hardestdecision I had to make.

I guess probably the hardest decision,

when He gave me a scripturethat says, "Sell what you have,

give to the poor and come follow me."

- [Wendy] When you werelivin' in New York.

- I was livin' in New York

and I sold all the furniture we had,

took the money and gave it to a friend.

I said, "Give it to thepoor in Bedford-Stuyvesant

and then follow-"

- [Wendy] And you hadthree children already.

- Huh?- You had

three children already.

- I had three children already and a wife

and

that's where you start.

And then along the way,

they've been also many times God has,

but my book, "I've WalkedWith the Living God,"

there's just time and time and time again.

Well, just listen to theLord and walk with Him.

But at this point it's not hard anymore.

I mean, when God says,"Give everything you've got

and come follow me," that's tough.

- And you had like 70bucks in your pocket.

- But I came down here

and He said, "Go starta television station."

I came to Tidewater, 1953, aDeSoto car, a U-Haul trailer,

some baby beds and some pots and pans.

And I had $70

and God said, "I wantyou to buy a TV station."

I didn't even own a TV set.

(Wendy laughs)Okay.

- It's a great story.

And it's in Pat's new book, by the way,

"I Walk With the Living God."

All right.

Deb, from South Bend,Indiana, has this question.

- [Deb] Pat, I was married tosomeone and I had an affair

and I ended up marrying theman that I had an affair with.

We've been together 24 years.

Since that time, I have been baptized

and I'm very active in my church.

My question is, will the Lordforgive me for my adultery

because I'm definitelysorry for what I've done.

- Well, of course He'll forgive you.

You didn't say what happenedto that previous marriage?

You left your husband and hadan affair but what did he do?

Where is he?

- [Wendy] We don't knowwhat happened to him-

- Well, no we don't-- But she's just sorry

that she committed adultery.- We don't know.

I think, look, the Lordsays, "All manner of sins

and blasphemers will beforgiving the sins of man,"

and I believe God wants you forgiven.

I don't think he wants tohold something over your head

and beat you up.

But He talks about having

"a conscience cleared from dead works"

and you have confessed your sin.

And I presume that the marriage somehow

has been obviously dissolved

because you're not yourhusband's someplace else.

- [Wendy] And she's remarried now.

- And you are remarried, sowhat was there before is gone.

I mean, I wouldn't carrythat with you anymore.

I would just thank the Lord

for His salvation and His forgiveness.

- Forgiving yourself isoften the hardest part.

- Oh, yeah. (laughs)

- That's hardest part, isn't it?

- Yeah.

If, you know, God's forgivin'me, have I forgiven me?

- Okay.- Amen.

Here's Chip fromGoldsboro, North Carolina.

- [Chip] My question is,

according to the Bible,or in your opinion, Pat,

do you think there's any otherhuman life on another planet

other than earth?

- I really don't think so.

I, you know, Hugh Rossis such a brilliant man

and he wrote a book called"Our Amazing Planet."

And when you look at this little globe,

we're in the middle

of a tiny solar system

in the middle of the Milky Way Galaxy,

which in turn is part of

just another series of stars.

And I don't believethere are any other life.

There's nothing that we learn about.

Now there are angels and there are demons

and that kind of life.

But I don't think there's anylife away from this planet

that we live on.

And Hugh Ross said very cogently,

I think he wrote a book or hetalked to me on this program,

and he says you know,

it's amazing when there is aresurgence of occult activity,

people begin to have littlegreen men coming in spaceships

to carry 'em off.

I mean, it's just an illusion.

It's demonic illusion.- It's demonic, yeah.

- But I don't think, I think this is it.

I mean, this planet is it.

And I think these other things

are a bunch of lifeless rocks out there

that have no life and no meaning,

but everybody's always talkin' about,

"Is there life hither and yon?"

But no, I don't think so, okay?

- All right, good answer.

Here's Carol from Chicago.

- [Carol] A pastor informed me

that I have a generational curse.

Will this keep me from heaven?

I'm saved and filled with the Holy Spirit,

but I don't speak in tongues.

- She said, Carol said her pastor told her

that she has a generational curse.

He didn't say what it is.

And she wants to know ifthat'll keep her from heaven.

She says, "I'm saved andfilled with the Holy Spirit,

but I don't speak in tongues."

- Well, not speaking in tongues

is not gonna keep you out of heaven,

nor is some illusory generational curse.

If you have such a curse, you can break it

and say I-- Denounce.

- "I deny this curse,"but I don't think that's.

If a pastor told youyou're gonna miss heaven

because of a generational curse,

I think he's speaking notaccording to the Bible, all right?

- All right, here's Arlenefrom Wichita, Kansas.

- [Arlene] My questionis on Revelations 21:14.

It says, "The wall of thecity had 12 foundations

and on them were the names ofthe 12 apostles of the Lamb."

Does that include the name of Judas?

- Oh, (laughs) no, I don'tthink Judas is considered

as the apostles of the Lamb.

I think there was another apostle.

You know, they chose another apostle.

Actually, I hate to usethe term, they shoot crap,

but I mean, they throwthe dice and another one,

Matthias I think, was chosen.

And really the apostle Paul was,

when you get right down toit, he was the other apostle.

- [Wendy] Yeah, I don'tknow this one. (laughs)

- Well, I mean, but you know, there's no way it was Judas

included in the apostles ofthe Lamb, no way, no how, okay?

- Yeah, absolutely.

All right, here's Oliviafrom Grayling, Michigan.

- [Olivia] I always hear about fasting

and I'm wondering abouthow do you go about fasting

and what's the proper way to do it?

- Well, there are a number of fasts.

There's a fast of no pleasant bread.

That means you don'teat dessert for awhile.

There's a fast of no food,no drink for a while.

There is a fast whereyou fast for one meal.

You know, David said, "I afflictedmy soul through fasting."

And what you're saying is I'mdenying the craving of my body

so that my spirit can go free.

And instead of spendingtime filling your stomach,

you're spending your timefilling the things of the Lord.

But I would caution you.

You know, I used to spend, deny myself a number of months

and then I was trying to work out

and I didn't have enoughmaterial in my muscles

and I hurt myself.

So I also, I think if peoplehave medical conditions

that you have to be careful of it.

But you know there usedto be a fast on Friday,

I mean like once a week, either Wednesday and Friday

but Friday, and the peoplewould not eat any breakfast

and go through lunch or something

and that would be a period of fasting.

That's something that it says to the Lord,

"I'm really serious

and I'm putting you aheadof my physical needs."

So it's under the Lord, butyou remember the Bible says,

"But when you fast, youanoint your head with oil

and put shine and look happy

and don't go around lookin' sad,"

because you know, if youdo then you've missed the-

- Missed the blessing.- Yes.

Okay.

- All right, Don, from Rancho, California-

- No, it's was Cucamonga- Cucamonga. (laughs)

- Okay-- Cucamonga.

- Rancho Cucamonga.- Rancho Cucamonga.

- [Don] Pat, in the Bible it says,

"Absence from the body ispresent with the Lord."

I'm asking, does that meanthat the instant you die

that you go immediately infront of the Lord for judgment?

Could you help me with this, please?

- Well, you said judgment, now you go before the Lord,

you're absent with the bodyand at home with the Lord.

And if you are among those

who have accepted Jesus as their savior

and you're born again,

you remember, the thiefon the cross, he said,

"Remember me, when youcome into your kingdom,"

and Jesus said, "This day youwill be with me in paradise."

"This day," so there's nopurgatory, no inbetween state.

When you die, your spirit is,

immediately it leaves yourbody and goes to paradise

if you know the Lord.

And you are with the Lordat that point, your spirit.

Now later on, there's aresurrection of the body

when the dead will rise and at that point,

you're given a heavenly body.

But in the meantime, yourspirit is with the Lord.

- What about judgment?

Is there a judgment for born again?

- Well there's the Bemajudgment, you know,

but, "We'll all come beforethe judgment seat of Christ."

But there's the so-calledGreat White Throne judgment,

but the Bible says in John,"If you have accepted the Lord

you will not come intothat other judgment."

But there will be rewardsand there will be punishment.

I mean, you know, you justcan't live any way you feel like

on this earth and expect tohave the Lord say, "Well done."

So you come to Him

and, I mean, those whohave led people to the Lord

and have been faithful in givingto the poor and the needy,

you know, "They'll shine withthe brightness of the stars."

All right.- Amen.

Well, coming up, we've got round two

of our special voicemail edition

of Your Questions,Honest Answers from Pat.

So don't go away, we'll be right back.

- Welcome to Washingtonfor this CBN Newsbreak.

Christopher Miller is the newacting Secretary of Defense.

Monday, the President fired

former secretary Mark Esper in a tweet.

Last June, Esper drew thepresident's displeasure

for publicly disagreeingon using the military

to put down civil unrest incities across the country.

Miller takes over after serving

as director of the NationalCounterterrorism Center

for about three months.

Well, Armenia, Azerbaijan andRussia signed an agreement

to end the six-week-old warbetween Armenians and Azeris.

The conflict often sawfriendly powerhouses lining up

against each other.

Turkey backed Azerbaijanwith military support

while both Russia andIran sided with Armenia.

The deal allows Azerbaijan

to keep areas of Nagorno-Karabakhseized during the war.

Armenia also agreed toleave several other areas

in the next few weeks.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced

that Russia would providenearly 2,000 peacekeepers

along the front lines.

The fighting pitted Christian Armenians

against mostly MuslimAzeris against each other.

Pat and Wendy we'll be backwith more of "The 700 Club"

right after this.

(dramatic music)

- Thanksgiving was startedit looks like in New England,

as the early pilgrims werestarving and suffering.

They had a time thatthey could come together

and thank the Lord.

It was a time of thanksgiving to God

and the Indians broughtfood and they had food

and they had games and they had prayer

and it was a wonderful time.

So Thanksgiving has been setup as a national holiday,

and it's the time ofgiving thanks to the Lord.

You know, some of theseleft-wingers wanted to say

well, what they were doing isgiving thanks to the Indians.

They weren't thinking of the Indians,

they were thanking God.

And that's what it'sabout is thanking God.

But at the same time, we'vemade it a time of feasting.

And we talk about turkeys andpumpkin pies and cranberries

and all the stuff you eat Thanksgiving

and it's a time of feasting.

Well, that's good.

There's nothing wrong withhaving a wonderful meal together.

I don't know how many people

can get together like theyused to at Thanksgiving,

but at our hotel, we usedto have over 1,700 people.

I think now they might have 100 or 200

or something like that because of COVID.

- Because of COVID.- Yeah.

But anyhow,

we want to give you a chanceto help somebody else.

We have a letter that's goneout to people and it says,

"I want to demonstrate God'slove to a hurting world

because there are so manypoor and suffering people."

And here in America there are people

who are hungry this Thanksgiving

and I think it would be wonderful

when you sit down toyour Thanksgiving to say,

"Well, actually I have given something

to CBN's Thanksgiving Relief Program,

and I'm helping the poor and the needy.

And now I can eat myturkey and cranberries

and all this stuff witha clear conscience."

Give thanks.

This is coming in the mail.

When you get it, please fill it out.

Send a generous contribution,

CBN Center, VirginiaBeach, 1-800-700-7000.

More questions.

- [Wendy] Are you ready for another round?

- [Pat] I'll let you knowafter I get- (laughs)

- All right, it's another round

of your voicemail questions for Pat

and here's one from Ron, he'sfrom Spokane, Washington.

- [Ron] I watch your showfaithfully, pretty much every day,

and I struggle with, and so do my parents,

struggle with understanding

these healing messages that you have.

Please expound on those andhelp us to increase our faith

and show us where to read sothat our faith will increase.

- The Bible says, "Faith comes by hearing

and hearing by the word of God."

And I would recommendthat you live in the word,

read the word, just a littlebit of it, if need be,

and just till it resonates in your heart.

And as you read the word of God, you know,

"How can a young man cleanse his way?

By taking heed theretoaccording to thy word.

And that thy word, have I hid in my heart

that I might not sin against you."

We want God's favor, we want His blessing

and we'll get that favor and blessing

when we obey His commandments.

And the commandments are in the Bible,

so I recommend stronglythat that's what people do.

And when they do, their faith will grow.

- And he says he'sstruggling with understanding

how we receive words of knowledgefor people to be healed.

- Well,

I would recommend that you read

the books about thegifts of the Holy Spirit,

and you ask God,

the Bible says, "Earnestlydesire the better gifts."

And they're revelatory giftsthat are given to people.

I've got a new book out,

that it's not publishedyet but I finished it,

about the Holy Spirit

and I go into detail aboutthe gifts of the Holy Spirit.

It comes from the powerof the Holy Spirit,

being baptized in the Spirit.

There's the word of wisdomthat tells about the future.

There's the word of knowledge

that tells aboutsomething that's going on.

And then there's the discerning spirits.

- I remember, Pat, when I gotbaptized in the Holy Spirit,

it was 22 years ago and Iwas going to this church

where everyone was baptizedin the Holy Spirit except me.

And so I knew they hadsomething I didn't have,

I mean, I was a believer,

but I wanted it and I asked God for it.

And you know, God is faithfuland He gave it to me.

It didn't happen overnight, but He did give it to me.

And it's just like any of the gifts,

if you ask, you know-- You'll receive.

- He says, "I won'tgive you it as a stone."

I'll give you-- I went over and over,

I went to prayer meetingsand I prayed all day

and I cried out to Godfor more of his spirit.

And one night when my little son

was burning up with a fever,

I was holding him before the Lord

and the Lord said, "Look, you think you love him,

I love him thousands oftimes more than you do."

And when I did, I lifted himup into the presence of God.

The power of God came on him, touched him, broke the fever,

and I began to praiseGod in another language.

And from then on out, it waslike, you've crossed the line

and something, you've enteredinto a whole new dimension.

The Holy Spirit's power is real

and that's what we're talking about.

Okay, next question.- All right, here's Terry

from right here inVirginia Beach, Virginia.

- [Terry] First, thank youfor all the good work you do

to lead us all to faith.

In Samuel 1, when Saulgoes to the medium of Endor

and pulls up Samuel, much to his disdain.

Samuel tells Saul that hewill be with him tomorrow

and that his sons will be with him also.

How is it that Saul can bein the same place as Samuel

when Samuel served theLord and Saul did not?

- I think Samuel was saying,

"I'm dead and you're gonna be dead, too."

I remember he had, Saul hadthe witch call up Samuel.

The old man comes up in andthe witch is scared to death

because Saul had said,

"I'm gonna kill all thewitches in the land."

You know, she said, "You'reSaul, how'd you do this to me?"

And all Samuel said,"You're gonna be where I am.

I'm dead and you're gonna be dead, too."

That was that's the extent of it.

I wouldn't push it any further than that.

- All right, good answer, Pat.

Here's Rebecca from Beaumont, Texas.

- [Rebecca] The Wailing Wall in Jerusalem,

is it part of theoriginal wall of Nehemiah

or is it a wall of thetemple that was destroyed?

- I don't know which wall it was.

I think the wall was built

during the time of-

- Herod?- Huh?

- The time of Herod.- Yeah.

It was Herod who built that wall.

And I think the Wailing Wallthat's over there right now

is part of that temple.

I don't think that wasthe Nehemiah temple.

Okay.

- All right, here's Jimfrom Knoxville, Tennessee,

with a question.

- [Jim] I was wondering what will it take

for America to come back to God?

What will it take foreveryone to love Christ

like we're supposed to love Christ?

- What would it take?

It would be a powerful move of God

beyond anything that wehave ever experienced

in the history of this land.

But it has happened.

In nations, you know, in Englandduring John Wesley's time,

there was a powerful move of God.

We have had revivals in America

that go back to the early days.

And

that revival that tookplace in the Fulton Street

when a few men began to pray

and then a few more began to pray,

then a few more began to pray.

The next thing you know, the revival spread.

- Are you talking about the Azusa Street?

- No, I'm not talkin' about,

I'm talkin' about Fulton Street.

- Oh, Fulton Street, sorry-- In New York.

- Oh, Fulton, okay.- And it spread

all over the East Coast.

A million people came to the Lord.

And it was a powerful, twoguys began to pray together

and then a few more began to pray.

That's what it will take.

But boy, there's gotta be anational spirit of repentance.

And we've gone so far.

We've killed over 60 million unborn babies

and we have legalized perversion,

things that the Bible condemns.

And, you know you havethese laws being passed

in the Supreme Court and upward and down.

The people are voting in things

that are an abomination to God.

And you just say at whatpoint is God gonna say,

"I'm gonna give you up"?

But right now,

America is still the hope of the world

and I think we can still rejoicein this land that we live

because there's no other nation

that can guarantee anykind of freedom or justice

to any other nationexcept the United States.

But we are on the knife'sedge in this country.

I mean, I'm talking abouton the knife's edge.

And unless we do somethingwe're into a heap of hurt.

Okay?- You know,

a lot of people say a revivalis breaking out and is coming.

We've seen, like we hadSean Feucht on yesterday

who's been leading these-

- Well, it's breaking out-- Revivals.

- But it's not the same thing, you know?

You know I've read 2Chronicles where it says,

"If my people which are called by my name

will humble themselves and pray,"

and as I've read that very carefully,

I think it's being misinterpreted.

"If my people who are called by my name

will humble themselves," well,Wendy and I are His people

and we can humble ourselves and pray,

but that's not gonna heal the land.

I think there has to bea nationwide repentance.

And Israel was named after God.

El is the name for God.

And "my people," that was thewhole nation turned to God

and forsake their wicked ways.

And that's what you're asking.

Look, God can do anything.

He is sovereign.

He can do every anything.

And yes, there was a greatrevival in Azusa Street,

there was a great revival

with the Fulton Street prayer meeting

and there've been the Haystack revivals.

Along the way, there havebeen powerful moves of God

in America and we're seeing one right now.

There are more people coming to the Lord,

really around the world, thananything I've ever known.

God's spirit is moving all over the world.

There's a huge move ofGod in this world, okay?

- All right, here's Cherylfrom Livermore, California.

- [Cheryl] I've heard itsaid that for Christians,

when we go to heaven, webecome the bride of Christ.

How does that pertain to male and female?

- Well, you know, I thinkmale and female together

make we are the bride of Christ

and Christ is the heavenly bridegroom.

But when we get to heaven,

there'll neither be marryingor giving in marriage,

we won't have sexual identities

because sex is for reproduction.

We will be spirits.

But we are now considered,

the Church is consideredthe bride of Christ.

He is our heavenly bridegroom

and men and women are partof that bride, all right?

- All right.

Here's Gwendolyn from Houston, Texas.

- [Gwendolyn] Hi, Mr. Pat,I watch you every mornin'.

Pastor Pat, my question is,

what does this mean when God say,

"The wealth of the wicked isstored up for his people,"

and what is the wealth of the wicked?

Then He got another passageover there where He say,

"I give my people thehidden secret treasures

of their enemy."

What are the secrettreasures of our enemy?

- [Wendy] Great question.

- There are a lot of treasures,

the treasures in the sandand treasures hither and yon.

But the wealth of thewicked, the Bible says,

"are stored up for the righteous."

And

if the people of Godwill just pay attention

and follow His principles,

I've written a book,"The 10 Laws of Success,"

and if we follow thoselaws, we will prosper.

And when we do, sooner or later, the wealth will come to us.

But you begin to read that, for example,

the people who've made alot of money over the years,

I mean, JP Morgan said,

"I commit my soul toJesus Christ, my savior."

Rockefeller was a powerful Baptist

and he was the richest man in the country.

I mean, a lot of peoplewho have been very wealthy

have been also Christians.

And you can go right down the line

of those who are Christians

and who have receiveda great deal of money.

But it's not the spiritual,

I mean, it's not thematerial wealth we look for,

it's the spiritual wealth.

It's really what will last.

The money, you know, "Goldand silver will perish,

but what is of the Lord will go on."

All right.- Amen.

Well, we are coming back with,

we've got more of yourvoicemail questions.

Round three of the special edition

of Your Questions,Honest Answers coming up.

(uplifting music)

(upbeat music)

Welcome back to "The 700 Club"

and a special edition ofyour voicemail questions

and honest answers from Pat.

Here's one from Lonnie

and she's from Newport News, Virginia.

- [Lonnie] My question is,Jesus said that He came now

to change the laws of the commandments.

So who had the authorityto change the Sabbath Day

from Saturday to Sunday?

- (laughs) Lonnie, that's a good question.

Actually, the law was, you know,

He said, "I've come to fulfill the law."

And He said, "Not one jot, nor one tittle

will be taken from the lawtill all is fulfilled."

But look, why are we celebrating Sunday?

Because that was the first day of the week

and that was the day of his resurrection.

Saturday was the Jewish

end of the week

and that was their holy day, was Saturday.

Friday is the Muslim holy day.

But the reason we do Sunday

is because that's theday of the resurrection.

And so the early Christiansbegan to celebrate Monday,

I mean, Sunday as theday of the resurrection.

- [Wendy] I didn't know that.

Okay, I mean, that makes sense. (laughs)

- Well, that's why you watchthis program, to learn things.

Okay, what else?

- Always learnin' from you, Pat.

All right, here's, Roxy,no Lolly, I'm sorry.

This is Lolly from Austin, Texas.

- [Lolly] I have been part ofa non-denominational church

for many years that believes in

and operates in the fullness

of the gifts of the Holy Spirit,

including speaking in tongues.

My husband has not been attending church,

although he has made aprofession of faith in Christ.

We recently moved

and my husband wants toattend the Baptist Church

in our new town.

The closest non-denominational church

is at least 30 miles away.

My question is,

should I attend and be apart of Baptist church,

even though I don't agree, fully agree,

with their beliefs concerningthe gifts of the Spirit?

- I think to worship God is a good thing.

Your spirit will dry upif you're around people

that don't believe in the power of God.

And sooner or later,

but I mean, surely you couldfind in your community,

some people who share your point of view

and will meet together

if you have to have some prayer meetings.

- Is it worth it forthe sake of the marriage

to go with the husband though?- Well, yeah.

I mean, that's okay.

I mean, you know, if heis a believer, I mean,

you know, let's face it,I'm a Baptist, I guess.

Yeah, I mean, Baptists are good people.

They love the Lord, theybelieve in the Bible.

They believe in-

- You're a spirit-filled Baptist, Pat.

- Yeah.

I was baptized in the spirit, but I'm still a Baptist.

I was ordained as a Southern Baptist.

- What if she goes to churchwith her husband on Sunday,

you know, and they canhave a nice service-

- Well, by all means-- And-

- You go to church with your husband,

but at the same time, foryour own spiritual growth,

seek a fellowship somewhere along the way.

And there must be somepeople in this new town

who are filled with the spirit.

Get together with them andspend some time in prayer, okay?

- Maybe a ladies group or somethin'.

Good advice.- Well, ladies, mens, mixed.

Whatever.

All right.- (laughs) All right.

Here's Roxy from Schuyler.

How you say that, Pat?- I would say Schuyler, but-

- Schuyler, Schuyler, Virginia.

- [Roxy] I have a question.

Is giving to The 700Club the same as tithing?

Because I don't have a church,

but I'm a member of The700 Club and I love it.

- Well, bless your heart.

I believe, you know, God's store,

it says, "Give to the storehouse."

But they had one centralstorehouse in Israel

and that was it.

And now the body ofChrist is the storehouse

and I think God has expressions all over.

He's got missionaries, He'sgot humanitarian groups

and He's got groups like The 700 Club

that'll preach the gospel

and help humanitarian and all the rest.

So I think by all means.

I don't think the fact thatthere are 20 people together

who say, well, we're a church,

that somehow constitutesthe hold on your money.

I just can't believe that.

I think the storehouses,

all of God's people in all ofthe manifestations thereof.

And so I think that you can, you know,

bring your tithes into the storehouse

and I think the bodyof Christ is it, okay?

- Amen.

And she'll be blessed.

- And you'll be blessed.- You'll be blessed.

Here's Della from Los Angeles, California.

- [Della] I was just wondering,

I know when we die we'regonna have a glorified body

when we'll be with the Lord.

Will we be eating food?

Do we eat in heaven?

- [Wendy] Do we eat in heaven?

Do we get to enjoy food in heaven?

- Well, you know, Jesus said,

"I won't drink the fruit of the vine

till I drink it anew inthe kingdom of my Father."

So there's gonna be

a banquet that we talk about, (laughs)

you know, the heavenly banquet,

(laughs) and I'll be drinking wine.

I don't know.

You know, and with a spiritual body,

I'm not sure how muchfood you need to eat.

But,

you know, clearly there's gonna be a,

"Marriage supper of the Lamb."

- And people, Pat, thathave that been to heaven

say that their senses were magnified

that their smell andso maybe taste as well.

We'll get to enjoy it all.

- C.S. Lewis said there was,"One fruit in the heavens

so delicious that men on earth would kill

just for one taste of it," so. (laughs)

- C.S. Lewis said that?- Yeah.

- There ya go.- Okay, what's next?

- Paul from Rock Hill, SouthCarolina, has this question.

- [Paul] During my childhood in the 1950s,

I'll never forget hearingmany messages in tongues

and interpretations and prophecies spoken

in our Pentecostal church.

Why, in years past, wehear very few to none

in many Pentecostal churches?

- There's a book called,"The Descent of the Dove"

and the descent of the dovewas that in the early days

of the Church, when you got together,

that one had a tongue, one had an interpretation,

one had a, and Paul saideverything is gonna be

decently in an order and so forth.

But the idea of the whenthe descent of the dove,

it got disruptive.

They had a nice order of worship.

They had it all printed out all pretty.

And you had a sermon and you had a hymn

and then you had a scripture reading

and they didn't want the Holy Spirit

down there bringing messages.

But we, we here on thisprogram, we have prayer

and we believe in thegifts of the Holy Spirit.

I think that, you know,

the assemblies and Pentecostal holiness

and other churches shouldnot be ashamed of having,

you know, it can get to be wildfire

and you got a lot of craziness going on,

you don't want that.

But at the same time,

the spirit of the prophetsare subject to the prophets.

And I think everythingis decently in an order,

but there should be themanifestation of God's spirit

in the body of Christ during the worship.

Okay?- Amen.

Here's Carol from Moundville, Alabama.

- [Carol] I watch your showevery day and I really enjoy it.

And when we die and go to heaven,

will we be the same agethat we are when die?

Like when little babies die,

will they always belittle babies in heaven?

- You know, I've tried to wrestle that.

The Bible says it we'll be like Him

because we'll see Him as He is.

I think babies will grow up.

Jesus was essentially, like 35 when he died,

33, excuse me, 33, when he died.

I think we'll be at about that age.

I think the older people will be younger.

The younger people will be older.

But we're gonna be spirits.

The spirits maybe don't haveage, but I think babies,

I mean, even unbornbabies are gonna grow up

to their full potential.

I believe, in heaven, some of those babies

that were miscarried oraborted or something,

are gonna have a life.

- Me, too.- That's what I think.

- Me, too, Pat.- Okay, next.

- All right, here's a callerfrom Northbrook, Illinois.

- [Caller] My questionis in regards to tithing.

I know that tithing is tohelp the poor and so forth,

and I contribute to CBNand our local community.

My question is, are familymembers able to receive a tithe?

- You know, I don't think so.

I think your family members, you're givin' to yourself

and I don't think that's the same thing

as giving to the Lord.

So I know people like tohelp their poor relatives

and by all means, do so.

Don't shut your family members out,

but that's not the samething as your tithe.

Well, today's PowerMinute is from Psalm 4,

"I will lie down in peace and sleep,

for you alone, oh Lord, willmake me dwell in safety."

Thank you for all of those questions.

It was so much fun being with you

and I hope I had some answersthat were satisfying to you.

Well, tomorrow, meet a Navy veteran

who miraculously survivedbeing shot 27 times.

You don't want to miss that.

For Wendy and all of us,see you tomorrow, bye-bye.

God bless you.(uplifting music)
