- [Narrator] The following program

is sponsored by CBN.

- [Woman] Coming up, a special edition

of Your Questions, Honest Answers,

a show filled with your voice mails.

Hear Pat's take on theissues that matter to you

on today's "700 Club."(upbeat music)

(dramatic music)

- Well welcome to "The 700 Club."

Waging war on the invisible enemy.

President Trump is warningAmericans to brace for,

what he calls, a tidalwave of sickness and death

in the next two weeks.

He also is urging citizens totake up the strongest weapon

in the fight against that COVID-19,

and he calls it extreme social distancing.

What hope is there to flatten the curve?

Our reporter CaitlinBurke begins our coverage.

(logo whooshing)

- A stark warning from the president

and his medical advisors.

In the next two to three weeks,

America will see a peakin COVID-19 deaths.

The message: brace for impact.

- I want every American to be prepared

for the hard days that lie ahead.

- [Caitlin] The CoronavirusTask Force presented

grim numbers in Tuesday's press conference

providing the reasoning behind extending

social distancing guidelines.

The U.S. could see one to200,000 deaths from the outbreak,

and that's if the 30-dayextension of social distancing

is taken seriously.

However, there is hopethat if all Americans

observe the guidelines, those numbers can come down.

- So what we're gonna see,

and thus we gotta brace ourselves,

in the next several days to a week or so,

we're gonna continue to see things go up.

We cannot be discouraged bythat because the mitigation

is actually working and will work.

- [Caitlin] Dr. DeborahBirx said, "The numbers

"are influenced by spikeswe're already seeing

"in virus hotspots likeNew York and New Jersey,

"but early action andextreme social distancing

"in states like Washington and California

"slowed the infection rates."

Birx says, "If other statestake similar measures,

"they can mitigate thechances of a deadly surge."

- There's no magic bullet.

There's no magic vaccine or therapy.

It's just behaviors.

- [Caitlin] More than 2/3of Americans live in states

where social distancingrestrictions are in place.

For those that have yet to take action,

health authorities warnif you wait until cases

in your area begin tosurge, it's too late.

- This is tough, people aresuffering, people are dying.

It's inconvenient froma societal standpoint,

from an economic standpoint,to go through this,

but this is gonna be theanswer to our problems.

- [Caitlin] An outbreak oftwo dozen family members

in rural Georgia has nowbeen traced to a funeral

that occurred before socialdistancing warnings went out,

and in Washington state,a choir practice in March

turned deadly in spite of members' efforts

to keep an appropriate social distance.

- I heard from 20 peopleprobably within a day or two

that they were all getting sick also.

- [Caitlin] 45 members of thatchoir are now COVID-positive

or have symptoms, threehave been hospitalized,

two have died.

The Trump administrationis urging people to heed

the warnings to stay home,

but for those who do have to go outside,

the task force is consideringchanges in CDC recommendations

about wearing face coverings in public.

Charlene Aaron has that story.

(logo whooshing)

- [Charlene] As COVID-19continues its spread,

Americans are scrambling forways to protect themselves

against the virus.

In the latest move, arecommendation for all to begin

wearing masks in public isunder active consideration.

It's an issue addressed atTuesday's coronavirus briefing.

- It's just being consideredby the task force now

about whether that recommendationthat already exists

relevant to wearing maskshould be altered in any way,

so it's still under discussion.

- So you can get a mask, but you could also,

I mean most people have scarves, and scarves are very good,

and they can use a scarf.

- [Charlene] Due to thegreat need for masks,

the World Health Organization and CDC

have previously maintainedthat only health care workers,

caregivers, and peopleshowing coronavirus symptoms

should wear the protection.

The head of the ChineseCenter for Disease Control

and Prevention has long urged overall use

telling Science Magazine,"The big mistake in the U.S.

"and Europe, in my opinion,

"is that people aren't wearing masks.

"Many people have asymptomatic

"or presymptomatic infections."

"If they are wearing facemasks, it can prevent droplets

"that carry the virus fromescaping and infecting others."

During an appearance on "The 700 Club,"

neurologist and immune systemexpert Dr. David Perlmutter

agreed about the value in wearing a mask.

- One thing a mask will dois keep you from touching

your face when yourhands are contaminated,

which when you're out inpublic, is likely to happen.

- [Charlene] Others highlight the success

of slowing the epidemicin places like South Korea

and Hong Kong where themajority wear masks.

- So I've analyzed 38 scientific papers

that have looked at therelationship between

using masks and thetransmission of COVID-19

and similar kinda of viruses,

and they all tell the same story which is

that wearing a mask candecrease transmission

by up to 50%.

- [Charlene] Given theconcern over the short supply

of masks in the U.S., Joann Fabrics,

the arts and craftschain, is urging Americans

to fill the gap and helping them do it.

According to the company, all860 stores are donating kits

for volunteers to createcloth masks for hospitals

and healthcare workerscomplete with a how-to video.

Cedarville Universitysophomore Connor Hart

also found a way to pitch in.

- Just seeing the pandemicaffect so many lives

and put so many people inneed just really hurt me

and made me wanna find a way to help.

We learned that we couldstart 3D printing masks

to help with the shortage of masks facing

many local medical agencies.

- [Charlene] He's nowusing the printer to make

plastic reusable masks round the clock,

shipping them to medicalfacilities in need.

Connor says with his school closed,

it's the least he coulddo with his free time.

- I'd rather be out helpingpeople during this time

than just trapped in likemy basement or in my room

doing like just video games or something.

- [Charlene] Charlene Aaron, CBN News.

- You know, ladies and gentlemen,

they've been talking aboutthe fact that wearing a mask

might not keep you from getting something.

That isn't the issue.

It's a question of whetheryou are asymptomatic

and whether you don't evenknow you've got the stuff,

but you're breathing, andas you breathe into the air,

those little coronavirusesare going into the atmosphere,

so if you have a maskon, that won't happen,

and what these ChineseCDC doctors are saying

is absolutely right.

Now I have in my hand here ifI could get a closeup on it

a homemade mask.

My producer's wife I believe made it.

- Really?- Yeah.

And you open the little bag,- What's it made of?

- and here is your mask.

It's homemade, it's really pretty.

She's got some, there it is.

- [Wendy] It has littledogs and dog houses on it.

- Yeah, and so you put thatthing on, you put it on.

- [Wendy] Wow, very nice.

- So if you're breathing, youaren't breathing coronavirus,

and that means as much as50% if everybody is doing it,

and I think it's long overdue.

The CDC should make it mandatory,

and you're not gonna takemasks away from professionals

if you're making 'em yourself,

and this is a homemadedeal, it's rather pretty

with little dogs and puppiesand bones and things.

- [Wendy] It not as scary as the ones

that everybody's wearing right now,

but it's just as effective.

- It's absolutely just aseffective, so all right,

our CBN News reporterLorie Johnson is with us,

and Lorie, Dr. Birx saysthere's no magic bullet

that we can flatten the curve.

You wanna talk about that?

- That's right, she saidthings like malaria drugs

and vaccines are all fine and good

for now and in the future,

but what's really gonna makethe difference as far as

lowering that awfulnumber of predicted deaths

is what each one of us does, each and every one of us,

and the idea is, justagain Pat, it's so simple.

Stay away from other people.

This is a very contagious disease,

and it's transferredfrom person to person,

so these mitigationefforts as they talk about,

these things work, they'vebeen shown to work,

and you're looking at the graph right now.

That great, big, giant dark mountain,

that's the projected numberof deaths, 2,000,000,

if we did nothing, ifwe didn't do any of this

social distancing, if wehadn't closed the schools,

hadn't closed the businesses,

and if we hadn't enactedthese stay-at-home orders,

2,000,000 people were projected to die.

Now that smallermountain, the striped one,

that's the projected number of deaths,

about 100 to 200,000, if we doall these mitigation efforts,

so if we stay home, if wekeep that six-foot distance,

and a lot of people are like gee,

that still sounds likea lot, 100 to 200,000.

There's sort of a caveat with that.

That's based on informationthat we have from New Jersey,

New York, and Connecticut.

This data is constantlyupdated every single day,

and as you know, there'sbeen a terrible spike

in those areas, so that100 to 200,000 deaths

is based on New Jersey and New York.

That data factored in, but this graph,

you can see New Jersey and New York,

those states have reallygone up with the cases,

but all those other coloredlines down at the bottom,

those are the other states, and the idea is to keep those

way down at the bottom, and we've noticed places

like Washington state and California

that did have some outbreaks.

They're still kindadown there at the bottom

because they've really enacted some tough

mitigation strategies early, and so the warning to everyone,

especially people in metroareas, is within the next month,

really practice those socialdistancing, stay home,

sit there on the couch.

Become a couch potato for the next 30 days

because the peak is expected in two weeks.

- Well Lorie, the thing thatmost people don't realize,

or maybe they're realizing itnow, is that this coronavirus

lives on plastic surfaces, on metal,

and on the remote you've got in your hand.

If you go to punch a buttonon a vending machine,

if you go to an ATM, whatever you punch,

whether you're going througha subway or anything,

it has that so you almosthave to have your gloves on

your hands all the time.

- That's right, we needto become germophobes,

and I think a lot of us are thinking ah,

that's probably infected, andthere's a very good chance

that if you're outside of your home,

you are in danger because younever know who's been there,

so that's why we're beingasked to stay at home,

and regarding thosemasks, the homemade masks,

President Trump talkedyesterday about just using

a piece of cloth of a bandana,

and you have the one thatsomeone made for you,

but this isn't something that,

and this is even on the CDC website.

You just take a piece ofcloth of a bandana like this.

You fold it into a triangle, and then you can just tie it

behind your back.

I'll show you what I mean.

Just like that.

I know I look like I'mgetting ready to rob a bank,

but you can tuck it in.

- Tell the tellers to run.- Really. (laughs)

Really protected.

So it's very simple, and- Two Gun Lorie.

- You should try to coordinateit with your clothes

because we're still followingfashion guidelines (laughs)

in addition to our socialdistancing guidelines,

but this is actually somethingthat the CDC is looking at.

We don't wanna buy the masks

that the healthcare workers use,

but this is very effectiveat preventing those

larger droplets from escaping your mouth,

and even there are some studies that show

that it prevents them from getting into

your own mouth or face.

- Also, a little bit of ultraviolet light

will kill the corona,so if you've got them,

you can put an ultraviolet light on

and kill them before you reuse.

- And wash them in hot water as well.

- Wash in hot water and soap, lots of it.

Well in other news, thecaptain of an aircraft carrier

is asking for help afterdozens of his crew members

have tested positive for the coronavirus.

Ephrem Graham has that.(logo whooshing)

- Pat, the captain of theUSS Theodore Roosevelt

wants permission to isolate the majority

of his roughly 5,000 crew members on shore

and to take his ship out ofduty in order to save lives.

Captain Brett Crozierwrote to Navy leaders,

"We are not at war. Sailorsdo not need to die."

The nuclear carrier pulledinto Guam last week.

The Navy is working to getas many sailors as possible

on shore while keeping about 10% on board

to keep the ship running andto monitor nuclear reactors.

The number of coronaviruscases has been climbing sharply

in the military in thelast week, now nearly 700.

The virus is changingAmericans' religious habits

according to a Pew Research poll.

More than half of all U.S. adults

have prayed for the virus to end.

That includes people who saythey seldom or never pray

and even those who say they don't belong

to any religion, Pat?

- Well I wanna give you this scripture

as people are,

well you know, the Bible says

that when these plagues come upon earth

that many are gonna curse God,

but here's what it says in Revelation.

"And I heard as it were thevoice of a great multitude

"as the sound of manywaters saying alleluia

"for the lord God omnipotent reigns,"

and just keep in mind theLord God omnipotent reigned,

and this thing did notcatch Him by surprise,

and He knows exactlywhat's happened before.

He knows how to keepthis world in His hands,

and He also knows howto bring judgment on it,

so whatever it is, He is in charge,

so just make sure thatyou are right with Him.

That's more important than anything.

The Lord God omnipotent reigns, Efrem?

- Pat, a Pew Research pollalso shows many Americans

are reluctant to go outsidefor routine activities

such as going to the grocery store,

so how can you protectyourself while grocery shopping

and after you get home?

Senior WashingtonCorrespondent Jennifer Wishon

has some tips.(logo whooshing)

- If you live in aplace where you can have

your groceries delivered, that's a great option

because it keeps you away from people

who could be carrying the virus.

Still, plan ahead because manydelivery services are slammed

and, of course, noteveryone has that ability.

So if or more likely whenyou head to the store.

- We say go early.

We also say bring in yourown disinfectant wipes.

- [Jennifer] Sanitizethe handle of your cart

before taking off down any aisles.

Stay six feet away from other shoppers,

even if it means waitinga few seconds longer

to grab your pack of toilet paper,

and avoid touching yourface while you shop.

Experts say there's no need to wear a mask

unless you're sick or caringfor someone who's sick.

If you decide to wear gloves,be sure to take them off

without contaminating yourself,

then wash your hands for good measure.

And what about bags?

There's growing fearreusable bags contribute

to the spread of COVID-19.

Several states have already banned them,

but there is some goodnews about the items

you're putting into your cart.

- Right now, we don't have any clear data

that it's living on packagesfor a prolonged period of time.

- There's no evidence yet that coronavirus

is transmitted via food,

so once you get your groceries home,

experts recommend washingyour fruits and vegetables

as you normally wouldunder warm running water.

You can also use whitevinegar or lemon juice,

and of course, items withtougher skins like potatoes

can be scrubbed with a brush.

You can also take yourglass and your canned goods

and rinse those offunder warm water as well.

So once you put your groceries away,

take those bags, throw them away,

and be sure to wipe off your countertops

with an antimicrobialdisinfectant, and remember,

the biggest risk when itcomes to grocery shopping

is exposing yourself topeople who may be carrying

the virus whish is why social distancing

remains so important.

Jennifer Wishon, CBN News.

- Very good advice, Pat?

- Tremendous advice.

And now we're going to the much awaited

next phase of our program, Wendy.

- Yes indeed, up next, you called,

and Pat's about to answeryour voicemail questions.

A special edition of YourQuestions, Honest Answers

is coming up next.(upbeat music)

(upbeat music)

Welcome back to The 700 Club.

We've started somethinghere that it really become

quite popular, and it'sabout you calling in,

leaving your voicemail questions,

and Pat answers those for you,

and so we are gonna get started right away

with our first caller is fromAnderson, South Carolina.

- [Man] If you're an olderadult, say 60 and above,

and you already have health issues,

is it best to buy termlife insurance then,

or will you all you canget is the guaranteed

life insurance which younormally would pay on

for a period of two to three years

before you have any full face benefits.

- I'm not an insurance expert,

but I've always felt that ordinary life

is sort of a rip off, andterm life is the way to go.

The question is how muchdo you have to pay for it,

and what are the circumstances,

but they say they're gonna guarantee it,

but what they guaranteeis whole life which means

they'll pay off the death benefit,

and if there's a savingsfeature, they keep that,

so it's not a good deal,so I really don't know who

you're trying to look after

or what your family situation is.

They've got some of thesedeath benefits things,

and they have those touchy things

I'm looking after my final expenses dear,

and you won't have to worryabout 'em, but I don't know.

The insurance companiesare making money on that,

so that you've gottahave something to afford

to put a big program on television,

so that's the best I can give you.

I don't have enough detailsabout your question, go ahead.

- All right, let's goto this call from Jack

from Goochland, Virginia.

- [Jack] Last year, theAmerican people paid

$377 billion in interest alone

on the money Congresshas borrowed in our names

and our children's names andour grandchildren's names.

What in the world is wrongwith these poor fools,

can you tell me?

- You want to know my frank opinion?

I think that the God weworship is called Mammon,

the god of money, andI do believe that God

is going to attack the godof money that's a real god,

and I think we're lookingat somewhere down the road

a financial collapse of major proportions.

This debt load is unsustainable.

When you look worldwide, you're talking about

70, maybe $150 trillion.

It's so much, it's staggering,

but there's no engineto take us out of that,

so we're laying that on our children.

It's a shocking thing,

but one day, the standardof living of America

is gonna be reduced substantiallyby financial collapse

that's going to be worldwide.

It'll be very, very painful, all right.

- Worse than what we're going through now.

- [Pat] Huh?

- Worse than what we're going through now.

- Oh good grief, this is just the warm up.

Just think of the agony of somebody.

They've lost their job.

They only have two orthree months of reserves.

We're in debt up to oureyeballs, and so suddenly,

you're paycheck to paycheck, you don't get any paycheck.

What do you do next?

Well, these companies arelaying off millions of workers,

millions of 'em, and it'sgoing to be devastating.

I don't think, we've seenone dip in the market,

but we're gonna have anotherdownturn rather substantially,

so in my opinion, cash isgonna be king in those days.

All right.- All right.

Well here's out next callerfrom Jamestown, Ohio.

- [Woman] As a Christian,is it wrong to receive

government assistance?

I'm a retired teacher'saide, I'm 70 years old,

and I do receive government assistance

from three different areas.

- I don't see as a Christianthere's anything wrong

with receiving government assistance.

You're a citizen, you're a taxpayer.

The taxes are paid to,and part of the budget

is to look after people like you,

so I see nothing sinful about taking money

from the government.

I mean almost fraud, youcan't defraud the government,

but if you're legitimate bills been passed

to make certain funds availableto people in your category,

there's nothing wrong with taking it.

- Yeah, I'm lookingforward to my tax return.

- (laughs) The government'snot, all they're doing

is giving your money back on a tax return.

- I'll take it. (laughs)

All right, Gerald fromGlen Falls, New York

has this question.

- [Gerald] Is the 1st century church,

was that a form of Communism?

- [Pat] Is it what form of Communism?

- [Woman] 1st century church.

- Is the 1st centurychurch a form of Communism?

- Well the truth was theysold everything they had

and gave it to the apostles.

It wasn't so much Communism, but when you read it,

all of the means ofproduction were taken away.

They had no means ofmaking any more money,

so they were all oncharity, every one of them,

and it seemed to be anoble thing at the time,

but the truth was it was very foolish

because you cannot destroyyour means of production,

and then wonder where you'regonna get your money from.

They sold their lands.

Their lands were the waythey got their money.

They had crops, they had no more crops,

and it was not a good situation.

Is it a type of Communism, well not really

'cause Communism is government-enforced.

This was voluntary.

- Interesting.

All right, here's a question from Suzy

from Stone Mountain, Georgia.

- [Suzy] This is Suzy, and I wanted to ask Pat

how I can increase my faith.

I seem to have lost it.

I miss not having thatcloseness with Jesus

that I used to have.

- The entrance of thy word brings light,

and light comes faith, faith comes by hearing,

and hearing by the word of God.

Start Suzy with one

verse, just one verse, and read it,

and then read it and letit become part of you,

and then begin to act on it,and then take another verse,

and read it and read itand begin to act on it.

There's so many promises in God's word,

and if you will rely on those promises,

your faith will grow, butfaith comes by hearing,

and hearing by the word of God.

That's what it says, all right.

- Amen.

Here's one, Kelly fromTuscaloosa, Alabama.

- [Kelly] My husband hassinned against me greatly

in psychological ways andmaking me think he's done things

and having me think thathe's been with other people.

He sinned against megreatly for three years,

and he knows it was killing me.

I just wonder if I am stillbound to sleep with him,

to give him my body.

My body is his as the Bible says.

I can't do it, I just can'tdo it until he says he's sorry

or at least admits what he did.

Am I wrong?

- I don't think so.

I think that, in a case like that,

the husband is supposed tobe the head of the family,

and the husband in turn,

the head of the husbandis supposed to be Jesus,

and once the man goes out fromunder the headship of Jesus,

he loses his authority, and so in your case,

you've got a husband who'sdoing things that are wrong.

Maybe he's wronged you,

and he wants all the maritalprivileges at the same time,

but he doesn't want tolive up to his obligations,

so I think you need somecounseling on that one,

and I don't wanna counsela family's being broken up,

but I don't think a wifeneeds to submit especially

to a husband who's not underthe authority of Jesus.

If he's under the authority of Jesus,

then you are supposed to besubmissive to your husband,

all right.- My heart goes out to her.

You could just hear the pain in her voice.

- Exactly.- Lord help her.

All right, here's aquestion from Jeanette,

and she's from August, Georgia.

- [Jeanette] My husbandand I are Christians.

We have a grown daughter age 29,

and she lives about 20 miles from us,

but we see her very, very seldom.

She is married to another woman,

so she's in a same-sex relationship.

My question is how do weestablish a good relationship

with her without making her feel guilty?

- You know, I hate to sayshe should feel guilty

because she's doing somethingwrong, but at the same time,

the saying is you love thesinner, but you hate the sin.

If you condone what she's doing

and act like there's no problem,

then you are kind of enabling her,

but I know this thing grievesyou and grieves the Lord,

and you cannot act like it's okay,

but you have to let herknow look, I love you.

You're my daughter, I loveyou, and I will always love you

because you are my daughter, but at the same time,

I cannot condone thelifestyle you have chosen,

so please don't ask me to dothat 'cause I can't do it,

and maybe by thatstandard, sooner or later,

she'll realize what she'sdoing is wrong, all right.

- Amen, that's the bestadvice you can give

as a Christian, amen.

Well coming up, we've got roundtwo of our special edition

of Your Question, Honest Answers from Pat,

so don't go away, we'll be right back.

(dramatic music)

(dramatic music)

- And welcome back to "The 700 Club"

for this CBN news break.

A federal appeals court has reinstated

the Texas governor's ordersto close abortion clinics

during the coronavirus outbreak.

A U.S. district courtjudge had blocked Texas

Republican leaders'attempts to ban abortion

due to the pandemic, but the5th Circuit Court of Appeals

wants more time to considerthe governor's order

which restricts elective medical actions,

including abortions.

As New York battles more than a third

of the country's coronavirus cases,

one of the Big Apple's iconic landmarks

is honoring those on the front lines.

The Empire State Buildinglit up like an ambulance

The gesture comes as FEMAsends hundreds of ambulances,

(upbeat music)

- Welcome back to "The 700 Club."

It's time for round twoof our special edition

of Your Questions and Honest Answers.

We're gonna start with this caller.

Her name is Fran, andshe's from Sidney, Ohio.

Go ahead, Fran.

- [Fran] I was lookingat the stimulus package.

Does that include peopleon Social Security or not?

- Does the stimulus package, she said does it include

people on Social Security?

- Not really.

I mean, your SocialSecurity's not gonna go up

on account of the stimulus.

It's only if you're laid off from work,

and if you're off from work, then there are provisions

given to those who are workers in relation

to their salary and so forth.

I don't think it'llapply to Social Security,

but I believe that's the case, all right.

- Yeah, I'm not sure either.

All right, let's take thiscall, Kirsha from Austin, Texas.

- [Kirsha] I have a friendthat is leaning on me too much.

She's just very codependent on me.

How can I pray for God to deliver me?

- She's got a friend who'sleaning on her to much,

and she's praying for God to deliver her.

What should she do?

- You've got to wean that friend away,

and like on to the Lord.

What you gotta do, she'llcome to you for advice,

so say would you go and prayand see what God tells you?

Don't answer the question.

You see, as long asyou'll answer something,

then she'll keep comingback, so you tell her

I really believe yououghta pray about that

and ask the Lord and justcontinually push her to the Lord

instead of push her away,

push her to God away from you, all right.

- That's good, all right.

Here's Diane from BeaverFalls, Pennsylvania.

- [Diane] Working withthe intermittent fasting

with the clean eating, andI was wondering your opinion

on it since you're 90 yearsold and a happy, healthy self.

- She's doing the intermittentfasting where you don't eat

for like the first 12 hours of the day,

and then you only eat form noon to six,

or you only eat for a few hours a day.

I know a lot of peoplehere at CBN have done that

successfully and lost weight.

What do you think about that?

- I don't think it's a good way to go.

I've been on every kind offast you've ever heard of

in your life, and I just don'tthink that's the way to go.

I think the way to gois to stop eating sugar,

to stop eating sweets, tostop eating processed fruit,

stop eating flour, stopeating that kind of stuff.

- [Wendy] No gluten.

- But I mean all day long,it's better to eat six,

seven meals a day of smallamounts rather than try

12 hours of fast, and then12 hours you're eating.

There are many, many diets,

and almost anything'll workif you cut back your calories,

but I do think you want tomaintain the level of your body,

and in my opinion, havingbeen to many of 'em,

I think a little bitalong the way rather than

let yourself ever get hungry, but always fill yourself up

with stuff like celery andcarrots and stuff like that.

Have snacks that have vegetables

is not gonna hurt you, all right.

- [Wendy] What did you have for breakfast?

- What did I have for breakfast, I had

a half a grapefruit and some bran cereal.

- Very nice.

I had a cheese omeletmy husband made for me.

- Ooo, well that's protein, it's okay.

- (laughs) All right, enough about food.

Constance from Jacksonville,Florida has this question.

- [Constance] Duringthis time of COVID-19,

I'm wondering why don't Ihear any of the churches

talking about we need torepent as in Chronicles 7:14.

We need to repent andask God to heal our land,

but the Christians first need to repent.

Can you answer that please?

Thank you.

- Can answer it.

I frankly believe

that we as a nation

are under the judgment of a holy God.

I think that we have killed 60million or so unborn babies.

We have enshrined homosexualityin the Constitution.

We have done a number ofthings that are against God,

and we have exported someof the stuff from Hollywood

and other sources of pornographythat is just horrible,

and the Bible says (mumbles) if my people,

which are called by myname, will humble themselves

and pray and seek myface, we understand that,

but then it says and turnfrom their wicked ways,

and I think then God says I'llcome and I'll heal your land.

I think as a nation, we need to have more

of a time of repentance.

We've got a time of hell,we have social distancing,

we have medical supplies,we have hospitals open,

we have mercy shifts,we have all that stuff,

but what we need isturning from wicked ways,

and I think then God saysI will hear your prayer

and heal your land, okay.- Amen.

Here's one, Cathy from Spokane, Washington

has this question.

- [Cathy] I recently heard questions

stated by a non-believerif God is all-knowing

and all-powerful, whywould he create a being

such as Lucifer whowould be able to separate

all of mankind from Godand cause so much harm

and pull people away from God?

- That is why did he--

- Why did God, basicallywhy did God create the devil

and cause so much pain in the world?

- The Bible says Luciferwas the covering Asian.

See you were the anointedcherub that covers,

and you were perfect in all your way

until sin was found in you.

He made Lucifer as the light one,

the anointed cherub that coveredthe very holiness of God,

and he walked on the stones of fire.

He was in the holy mountain with God,

but what did he do?

He looked around, and hesaid the thing that has,

you know in that song, I did it my way,

and that is the first sinis pride where Satan said

I can run the universe better than God.

So God created this being perfect,

but what happened to him wasI can do it better than God,

and that has been the sinof mankind ever since.

I can do it better than mankind,

I am more important thanGod, I am better than God.

That's the root of all sin,

and pride is the greatest sin,

and humility's the greatest virtue,

but God didn't create him as evil,

He created him as perfect, but in that perfection

was the ability to lookat himself and to think

that he was something special, and so that's how come

we have all the sin that's in the world.

It came about becauseof rebellion of somebody

who looked at a perfect God,

was the highest of allthe angels who said,

"I can run the universebetter than God can,"

and that right now allthe way through dictators,

generals, presidents, leaders.

I can do it better than God, okay.

- Wow, that was good.

All right, this one is Burleyfrom South Tahoe, California.

- [Burley] Wrong to quoteBible scriptures to people

who say they are Christianwhen they clearly do not

represent themselves as a Christian?

My friends called it Bible thumping.

- Well it's true.

Jesus said not onlythose who say lord, lord

are gonna enter thekingdom of those who do

the will of my Father in heaven,

and they'll say didn't we walk with you,

didn't we talk with you and so forth,

and He said, "Departfrom me you evildoers.

"Only those who do the willof my Father in heaven,"

and if you know the Lord, you will do His will,

and if you walk in thelight as He is in the light,

you have fellowship with one another,

and the blood of Jesus Christ continue

to cleanse us of some sin,

but these people whoclaim to know something,

and they just profess all this stuff,

they know all these doctrines, they know this thing,

but in their heart, there'sno love, and in their heart,

they are not really living forGod, and it's in your heart.

Where's your heart?

Is your heart. (mumbles)

You love the Lord, yourgod with all your might,

with all your strength and all your heart,

and your emotions have gotto be in tune with God,

and these people, yeahthey're Bible thumpers

and they act so righteous, and inside, there is pride,

there is anger, there is greed.

There's all the stuff thatGod hates, okay, you're right.

- Here's one, Joanne fromMarionville, Missouri.

- [Joanne] How do you retire an old Bible

that is not usable any more, the pages are withered,

the binding is falling apart.

You just don't throw it in the trash,

so I was wondering howdo I retire an old Bible.

- I've never beenconfronted with that before.

They used to do that withthose old Hebrew scrolls.

I mean, they were considered holy,

and if a scribe had one consonant off,

he'd written the whole thing, but he had one mistake,

he had to.- Start over?

- Retire and start all over, yeah,

so how do you retire 'em?

I don't know what you do with 'em.

- I'm glad she asked thatbecause I've got a Bible that,

it's been to the topof Kilimanjaro with me.

It is just falling apart, but I can't--

- If it's precious,keep it in a safe place.

You have some boxes andyou have some shelves,

and put it in the shelf- I can't give it up.

- That's how you retire it,

but you don't have toset up a special altar

for an overused Bible.

- (laughs) Okay, good.

All right, Sandy from Ocean City, Maryland

has this question.

- [Sandy] Could Adamand Eve be the beginning

of the Jewish line with otherpeople created elsewhere?

In Genesis 4:14, Cainsaid, "Wherever I go,

"others will want to slay me."

Where did these other people come from?

- I think that, Adam hadother children along the way,

and there may have beenother people in the world.

There's a mystery thatwhen the sons of God

looked on the daughters ofman and found them fair,

there could have been other families.

I have no idea where theother people were frankly.

That is a mystery, andyou have pointed out

a mystery to us, and wedon't know the answer

because we started out with Adam and Eve,

and then they had a couple of children.

One of 'em killed the other one.

Then they had another child later on,

but I don't know what.- Yeah.

I never thought about that before.

That was an interesting question.

Like you said, it's a mystery.

- Yeah it's a mystery.- And nobody really knows.

- They could have had several people,

and then they lived forhundreds and hundreds of years,

so along the way, Cain could've seen

there had been otherdescendants and children,

grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren of Adam and Eve

that were living in the world at the time.

Now that's where theymay have come from, okay.

- All right, thanks Pat.

Well still ahead, more ofyour voicemail questions.

Round three of the special edition

of Your Question, Honest Answers.

That's coming up next.(upbeat music)

(upbeat music)

All right, welcome back to round three of

Your Questions, Honest Answers.

We're gonna start with thisvoicemail question from Dorothy.

She's from Thousand Oaks, California.

- [Dorothy] Well my questionis I know God created

the heavens and the earth,so when an earthquake

or tornado or a hurricane happens,

isn't it an act of God?

- I think it's a natural thing.

To call it an act of God, hemade fissures in the earth.

He created the earth.

The earth has a numberof plates that float

on this magma underneath them,

and those things are separated by

what are called tectonic faults,

so the earth isn't one solid mass,

but those things actually are moving.

The Pacific plate is moving away from

the North Atlantic plate for example.

That's why you have some ofthose earthquakes in California.

You've got the same thingaround the ring of fire.

You have the plates moving, you've got the Pacific plate,

you've got all these various plates.

That's the way he made the earth,

and so if there's anearthquake, to blame it on God,

I mean it's part of the way He made it,

and he also made a release from heat

by the so-called hurricanesbecause of the heat builds up

in the tropics, and thenthe air begins to spin,

and the rain comes, andit dissipates the heat.

That's the way he made the earth,

and if somebody wants tolive on the edge of an ocean,

they're gonna take their chances

because this is what God did.

Just like you don't build ahouse on the San Andreas Fault.

You don't do it.

- You know, Idaho had a6.5 last night near Boise.

- That's part of that.

There's something calleda Pacific subduction zone

outside of Idaho, andit's one that could be

a very, very serious tsunami, but these plates are there.

It's part of the Pacific,I mean part of the way

God made the earth.

You look for example, partof Indian subconscious

broke off from Africa, and it slowly settled up

until it hit the European plate,

and then it jammed upagainst those mountains,

so you've got the high Himalayas

because of those plates coming together.

That's the way God made the earth,

so I mean you say it's an act of God.

Well just don't live nearthe San Andreas Fault.

Don't live on the ocean, and if you want to do that,

then take your chances, okay.

- All right, the price of paradise.

Okay, this question is from Shirley.

She's from Pickens, South Carolina.

- [Shirley] I'm in such a deep depression

over losing my son.

I'll be 86 years old,and my son passed away,

and I sit and pray with you every day

for God to give me comfort.

Why am I here and he isn't?

He has five children and 11 grandchildren.

- You have the great joyof knowing that one day,

there'll be reunions in heaven,

and the Bible says there'll be no sorrow,

no tears, no suffering, and right now,

your heart aches because ofthe death of a loved one,

but there'll be great reunions in heaven.

You will see your loved one.

You won't be alone, andso the Bible also says

some people die not knowingthat they're being spared

from the evil to come.

There are things thatcan come on the earth

that can destroy somebody's life,

their faith, and their hope,

and if they die a little prematurely,

it may be to spare themsomething down the road,

so just have faith, praise God, and realize

that you will be togetherwith your loved one

in God's sweet heavenly kingdom.

- Yeah, we really praythat God restores your joy

because He can do that.- Amen.

- All right, Alice fromCompton, California

has this question.

- [Alice] I was watching your program,

and a man came on sayingthat he was feeling

a whole lot better due to

the medication Chloroquine and Z-Pak,

that is was helping peopleget well within six days.

Why don't they give it outto people that are sick?

- I think frankly they haven't determined

that those things, they don'tactually kill the coronavirus,

but they're anti-inflammatory,

and people have inflammation in the lungs,

and the side effect ofthe coronavirus disease

is an inflammation in the lungs,

and so that thing that you talked about,

the anti-malarial drug,is an anti-inflammatory,

and given as it is with the Z-Pak

will stop the inflammation, but it isn't widely prescribed

because it isn't intendedto beat the coronavirus,

and furthermore, they haven'ttested all the way through

to make sure that this won'thave some deleterious effect

on human beings if it'staken, so that's the reason.

It wasn't prescribed for that.

It was set up for another purpose,

and especially the anti-malarial drugs,

Chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine,

that is an anti-malarial drugthat seems to have killed

some of the inflammation, not killed it,

but healed some of the inflammation,

but it isn't necessarily specific

for this disease, all right.

- Right, okay, here's a question from Jan

from Canton, Ohio.

- [Jan] Are Apostolicchurches Christian churches?

They don't believe in the trinity.

They only believe in Jesus only.

I'd like to know because I have a friend

that's involved in an Apostolic church.

- The Jesus-only thing, Iknow it grew for a while,

but it didn't have much doing.

They were praying, and thisperson said, "I love Jesus,

"and I think Jesus is wonderful,"

and then they said Jesus only, and isn't Jesus marvelous,

and so out of that camea branch of Christianity

called Jesus-only, that'sthe Apostolic Church.

There is a trinity, and I'm writing a book

on the Holy Spirit, and it's so clear

that if you look at the beginning,

the Bible it says the earthwas without form and void,

and the spirit of God, the Ruoch Elohim,

was brooding over the space of the earth,

and God said, "Let there be,"

and the spirit of God began to work,

and then if you look atthe baptism of Jesus,

the spirit descended like a dove on Him,

and there was a voice from heaven,

"This is my beloved Son inwhom I am well-pleased,"

and so there you have aFather, Son, and Holy Spirit,

and there's just no waythat Jesus was everything.

The Holy Spirit was actually God's agent

in creating this earth,so it was Father, Son,

and Holy Spirit all working together,

and this other thing,

it sounded very holy at the time,

but it's a heresy, period, okay.

- All right, good word.

Maryanne from Stevensville, Missouri.

- [Maryanne] What do youthink is the appropriate way

to comfort a Jewish person inthe death of a family member,

and do you think thatGod does give devout Jews

a chance to accept Jesus as their messiah,

even as they take theirlast breath before dying?

- Jesus was on the cross, andthere was a thief next to Him,

and he said, "Remember me whenyou come into your kingdom,"

and Jesus said, "This day, you'll be with me in paradise,"

so yes, there was a deathbed confession,

and there was salvation.

God loves the Jews, and Paul says,

"When they come to the Lord,

"it'll be like life from the dead,

"like resurrection from the dead,"

and many, many, many Jewish people now

are receiving Jesus as their messiah,

but God still, the Jewshave the oracles of God.

We've got the Biblethrough the Jewish people,

but that doesn't mean ifthey're still in rebellion

that they're gonna have anything more

than what they've got,and they have the law,

and the law doesn't save people,

so God will reach down toeverybody and every race

to win them to Jesus if possible.

Well today's Power Minuteis from Second Timothy.

"For God has not givenus a spirit of fear,

"but of power and of loveand of a sound mind."

Thank you so much for being with us.

I just appreciate it, andfor Wendy and all of us,

God bless you, see you later, bye bye.
