- [Announcer] CBN partnersEd and Ellen Schack

unwind from work by walkingalong the Jersey Shore,

together, they built a successfulcosmetic supply company.

- It's really awesome to runa company with your spouse,

because his strengths are myweaknesses, and vice versa.

And we can compliment each other so well

- We actually sell ouringredients to the, and users,

and the manufacturers, and they in turn,

make their own products andsell them to the consumer.

- [Ellen] Our business wasgrowing, our staff was growing,

and we were outgrowingthe space we were in.

- [Announcer] They had justbought a bigger building

when their biggest client called,

and ended their 14 year relationship.

- And it was devastatingto both Ellen and I,

we could understand if thebusiness was not doing well,

and the sales performance wasn't there,

but our staff and our teamwere doing really well

nationally with them.

- [Announcer] With a higher building cause

and a near 50% cut in business,

Ed and Ellen feared theircompany would go under.

- The first thing thatI was struggling with is

we may have to lay off some people.

- [Announcer] Ed and Ellenprayed to God for help.

- I just felt a sense of peacethat the Lord was involved,

and that he was gonna take care of it.

- [Announcer] The Schack'salso resolved that no matter

what, they were going toremain consistent in giving.

- There was not gonna beany changes in our tithing,

in our giving.

- I didn't see our tithingand our maintaining,

our giving as a way out,

I knew that the Lord was gonna support us.

- [Announcer] Shortly after that prayer,

the Schack's landed a new client, a deal

that restored more thanhalf of their losses.

- It was absolutely amazing, but it was,

it was proof to Ellen andI that the Lord was working

through the process.

- And it's been amazing,we always have known

that he has us, he has ourback, that he has our business.

- [Announcer] On the advice of friends,

the Schack's use theirextra building space

to start a new venturecall, "The Urban Schack."

Which now gives localartisans a retail venue.

- It allows them to test and measure,

you know making a product, and seeing if it's sellable.

It now gave us that peace and comfort

to move the business along, not have to worry about

firing the people.

- [Announcer] Now withtheir company back on track,

the Schack's have confidencein God's plan for the business,

and their lives.

And for over 30 years,

Ed and Ellen have been partners with CBN.

They continue to entrusttheir finances to CBN,

and have even volunteered withour humanitarian outreaches.

- One of the great things that we did

with Operation Blessingwas we became volunteers

for Hurricane Sandyright down in this area,

which was devastating, this part of New Jersey.

We can't physically be there on the

other side of this world, but we can support the work

of Operation Blessing, andCBN in building water wells.

- And it's just unimaginableto not have drinkable water,

so everybody should have water.

- That just blesses our heart,

knowing that we can takecare of these small villages,

so for us we love the waythat CBN uses our money

and our resources, ourgifts, to bless other people.
